Dogs are welcome at Mountain View Retreat (maximum 2 dogs, 30 lb weight limit) with a $30 pet fee.

• Security Camera:
A camera records the driveway area. Guests may not move, cover, or tamper with cameras, alarms, or security lights.

• EV Charging:
This property is not equipped for charging electric vehicles, and attempting to do so is prohibited.

• Mid-Stay Cleaning:
For stays longer than 14 days, a mandatory mid-stay cleaning will be scheduled during your stay and charged at the same rate as the standard cleaning fee. Additional cleaning charges may apply if excessive cleaning or damage occurs.

This is our second time staying at this cabin. We always have a great time. The views are always great and pretty local to things to keep you busy. Sad to see that the area has gotten busier and there was a lot more traffic up and down the mountain, but nothing the host can do about that. It was still peaceful.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy two-bedroom cabin on Cherry Mountain. We rent a cabin two or three times a year, and this one was a great fit for us. It’s not too big, not too small—just the right size for a couple. The location is great, the views are beautiful, and we really enjoyed the peaceful setting.Communication with the host/property management company was excellent. They were easy to reach and always responded very quickly.Our only very minor nitpick was the check-in/check-out instructions. They mentioned things like setting the hot tub temperature, keeping the hot tub covered, and loading dirty dishes into the dishwasher before leaving. This cabin doesn’t have a hot tub or a dishwasher, so we assume the management company may use the same general instructions for several properties. It wasn’t a big deal at all, just a little confusing and something that could easily be updated.Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely rent this cabin again!

Directions were a problem. I should have realized when the first line said “go xxx miles from the last red light in Ellijay.” How do I know when I’ve reached the last one? I don’t live here and have no idea of how many there are! No mention of Sisson Rd going both left and right after you cross railroad tracks, which are not mentioned at all. Lost about 30 minutes by guessing wrong and having to backtrack. Code to enter cabin did not work. Office had closed at 5:00 while I wandered around trying to get back to the railroad crossing. I had no choice but to call the emergency number for electrical/plumbing problems. A very nice and helpful man gave me a code to get in. Otherwise I would have been sitting on the porch all night trying to comfort my husband who has dementia as well as both my little dogs who were terrified of the thunder and lightning. Not a good experience.
