Across the street from a small black sand beach. Minutes drive from Polihale Sand Dunes & Beach Park, Waimea Canyon, and easy access to tours on Kaua'i's west side. This is your perfect location to enjoy hikes in the Koke'e State Park conveniently. Minutes drive to Waimea Town for grocery stores, restaurants, banks, a post office, a movie theater, a public swimming pool, a public library, a hospital and much more. Near PMRF.
The ground floor welcomes you into a designer's dream with two living rooms, a formal dining area, and a cook's kitchen with a full sized butler's pantry. There are two outdoor covered lanais with ocean views perfect for relaxing while listening to the sounds of the ocean waves.
Upstairs there are two oceanfront primary bedrooms with king four poster mahogany beds, and french doors opening onto a spacious oceanfront lanai. Surrender to the serene views and sounds of the ocean, and even whalewatch during the winter months. There are two additional guest bedrooms with ocean views (1 queen bed, 2 twin beds), offering sleeping for up to 8 guests comfortably. Split system AC units in bedrooms only (with individual remotes).

This Kekaha estate was featured in the book the Hawaiian House Now and was one of only two houses from Kauai in the book published in 2007. Hawaii still lives in Kekaha said Gail Miller of the sleepy West Kauai town she lived in since 1998, when this publicized and well known designer purchased this Sugar Mill Manager home. Originally built in 1933, it was purchased by Miller after she first saw this beach side house. It was the original features, many of which were preserved during the extensive renovation, that attracted her to this house. Rich Douglas fir floors, gracious archways, ceilings fabricated from sugar cane, and large rooms that opened onto the outdoors provided the ingredients to create and preserve a piece of rich Hawaiian heritage. Neutral colors have been used to highlight the beauty of the outdoor ocean setting she said in describing the interior finishes. Surfers and tourists line the shore to watch the sun drop into the western horizon at an hour that used to bustle with workers returning from the fields to their homes here in Kekaha.
