Well maintained and appointed property with a fantastic ocean view. It was just two of us in a property that could have easily accommodated 8-10 people. Every conceivable amenity, appliance, and utensil available. Special touches included wake boards, beach umbrellas, large beach towels, beach mats, and beach chairs. Downstairs semi-kitchen could be appealing to folks seeking space during a joint visit. Communications with owner/property manager were stellar and timely. I have visited Kauai twice before but in the Princeville area. Kekaha is drier, hotter, and more isolated. That being said, nearby Waimea had a grocery store (also beer, wine, liquor), coffee stops, and a few restaurants. We enjoyed ziplining and cruising the NaPali coast on a sunset dinner cruise within 20 minutes of our location. Visited the beach nearby (7 min drive) which was huge and hardly anyone there during the week. We sat out on the deck every morning and evening enjoying the sight/sounds of the surf. Traffic on Highway 50 can be annoying, especially Friday/Saturday nights and work traffic in the mornings/evenings. Just depends on your focus on the beautiful views/sounds. I am a VRBO pro having stayed at many properties in the US and abroad - I highly recommend this property for beauty, ease of access, amenities, quality, and peace of mind.
