We live two hours away from our mountain home and just love it. After looking for two years for a home I think we made a great purchase.
This home is for making memories for our grandchildren. Nothing is better than waking up to a house full of smiling faces.
You will love all the conveniences this home has to offer.
The Highland Dream was indeed a dream for our two families who selected it as our Spring Break destination! The bedrooms are spread out over three levels, and each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom, which provides maximum privacy, and eliminates any awkward sharing among adults. The two young boys in our party declared that the loft “ruled”, and everyone else was just as pleased with their sleeping accommodations. We had no trouble feeding and seating 8 people in the spacious kitchen, and every dish, utensil, and appliance we could have ever needed was right there. The children loved the video games and equipment, and thought that playing the hot tub while the snow came down was the coolest thing ever! We hope to visit again someday.
This rental was very close to Gatlinburg with a very pretty view, plenty of room for all. Kitchen had everything you need and then some. The bedding was good. There were only a few items that need attention, the outside light at the front door was out so it was difficult to see how to get in at night. We used our phone flashlight. There were not enough bath towels and bath cloths. You had to do laundry every day just so you would have clean towels. The towels were small in size and some of them were worn. Having plenty of nice towels would raise our rating for sure!!! The outdoor furniture is also in need of replacing and there is more needed on the main level. We could not use the hot tub while we were there due to some foundation issues that required some repairs. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay!
The cabin was immaculate, great views of the mountains, plenty of room for group activities and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for privacy. Easy to get too, centrally located, good parking. The overall feel was visiting someone's home. We all loved it.
We had our our college reunion at this property after 18 years. We loved it. The owner was very helpful and everything went very well. I am glad I found this property. We have nothing to complain about. It was just perfect.
Our 3 families totaling 10 (6 adults 4 kids) couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay. The pictures were exact. It was a very lovely home, spacious, beautifully decorated, well furnished, comfortable beds, fantastic kitchen, hot tub, deck and view. Gatlinburg has more activities than we had time for (one week stay) so we definitely need to plan a return trip. We highly recommend this home to others.
What a great house! We had 7 adults in the house for 4 nights. The 3 private bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms were very comfortable as well as the loft with 2 beds and a bath. Having an additional half bath on the main floor was also a nice convenience. We all had more than enough space in the 2 living areas to spread out or gather together. The kitchen was amazing! There is a lot of useful equipment and dishes, etc. We cooked 2 dinners while there. The balconies have very nice furniture to sit and admire the view which is not blocked by any other homes. In fact, the neighbors are not close at all, which gives a very quiet environment. We also greatly enjoyed the hot tub despite the single digit temperatures! The Mountain Lodge restaurant the owner recommended for breakfast was really perfect. We ate there twice and were amazed that they remembered our drink preferences when we returned the second time! While in Gatlinburg, we visited the National Park to hike, shopped at the Tanger mall in Pigeon Forge and went to the Titanic exhibit. Some of the other attractions were closed as this was after the holiday season, but it really didn't bother us. The only problem we had was communicating through the VRBO site, because the attachments the owner sent didn't always come through. When I tried to give the owner my direct email, VRBO blanked it out. This caused us to lose one day we had intended to stay at this house because the owner rented it to someone else. It was a wonderful mini vacation and we hope to visit Highland Dream again!
