3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6
This is a custom home situated on an acre of sunny, private land. The 180 degree views from the deck (and most rooms) are of mountains and the ocean. You can see the small town of Crofton and the Vesuvius-Crofton ferry. The house has three half levels and seems to cascade down the hillside. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite with a shower. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has a single bed with a sleeping loft and a double mattress.
Also on the upper level is the main bathroom that has a soaker tub under a skylight as the focal point. On the mid level there is a small side deck with a gas BBQ, the kitchen, dining room and separate laundry/utility room. There are two large skylights that provide ample light on this level. The living room has a full wall of windows and french doors onto the large scenic patio. There is a cozy fireplace and large screen TV. A completely separate self-contained owner's suite on the first, lowest level of the house.

Clean. Well equipped. Beautiful view. Attentive hosts.
We were a party of 4 adults sharing this home. The layout is terrific. Bedrooms and bathrooms on the uppermost level. Dining/kitchen/laundry on the next level down. Great room/fireplace on the lower deck level. We had lots of room and didn't feel like we were living on top of one another. There is ample parking. Brad and Rhonda left lots of wood for the fireplace and the kitchen/laundry was stocked with items to carry us through until a grocery shop could be done. The view is stunning - west over to Vancouver Island. The deck is large enough to enjoy dinner al fresco.
We had a small medical emergency during our stay and our hosts were very solicitous and helpful. They live in the basement level of the home so were close by if we needed anything.
I would definitely recommend a stay here and am looking forward to coming back soon.
Wonderful property in a great location.
Beautiful house in a lovely location.
All amentia worked just fine and we had a lovely time.
Beautiful views, beautiful space.
The space was big and clean. I loved the high ceilings and the amenities. The owner greeted us on the first night and was very friendly, showing us around the property. The place comfortably slept six but can easily sleep seven. The kitchen was well equipped. But the best part of this place is the sick music selection they leave on CDs for you to enjoy.
Great Weekend Get Away
The view and house are both great. The deck housed a new nest of robins, with a nest of hummingbirds close by. One morning two fawns, along with two adult deer, walked through the property as we sat on the deck. In the evenings we sat on the deck, enjoyed local wine, and watched eagles soar over the inlet. Amazing!
The house was unbelievably clean (even the cutlery tray had been cleaned). Some items like coffee, condiments, paper towels, were in supply.
We met the owners Brad and Rhonda. They are both really friendly and helpful.
Fabulous Stay on Beautiful Saltspring Island
Our group of 6 adults had a wonderful 3-night stay in this well-appointed home. The house is comprised of 3 levels that contour the hillside it is built upon. This gave us enough room to socialize without feeling crowded. Natural light floods the interior through skylights which also provide views of the arbutus trees populating the hillside. A large deck with a beautiful view provides lots of outdoor living space. The barbecue is situated off the kitchen/dining room level on a separate smaller deck. The kitchen is well-stocked and we found everything we needed to cook meals for a group of 6. The beds are comfortable and we all slept well because the house is in such a quiet neighbourhood. There is a good selection of books (especially if you enjoy spy novels) and a solid wifi signal. Beach access is approximately 15 minutes by foot. The walk back is longer because it is uphill all the way! Brad, who lives onsite, is a great owner/host! He is helpful but unobtrusive.
Very quiet and relaxing
This an interestingly laid out house with a great view. Clean and well kept up.
Very quiet as it's away from traffic, very relaxing.
Things to see include the weekly Farmers Market, Salt Spring Island Cheese, and the local vineyards. Catch an evening sunset at nearby Vesuvius Beach (even better on a paddleboard which can be rented and delivered to you).
