Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time at this property in November! It was very comfortable. The owners extremely accommodating leaving eggs, bacon, biscuits, and orange juice for us and on Saturday morning when we realized their tv package didn't include espn we reached out to see if they could add it so we could watch our alumni game that evening and within half an hour they had it set up! Lots of firewood for the fireplace and firepit! Quiet and peaceful but close to the happenings in Highlands. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home and great hosts!

  • 5 of 5

I'm so glad we found this house for our Highlands getaway. It is definitely the best VRBO I have stayed in. It is very well appointed, sparkling clean, and comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating, leaving us some delicious breakfast items, communicating well about check-in, and even putting together a crib for my toddler prior to our arrival. It is an easy 3-4 miles to/from town. We will certainly try to stay here again next time we come to the Highlands!

Beautiful Home. Love the Wood. No Corners were Cut! The kitchen was beautiful and very functional.

Jim was excellent at communicating. We were welcomed with fresh farm eggs, bacon, biscuits, and juice. We happened to be there when the tail end of Hurricane Irma hit. With power outages all around, the generator kicked in and we were good. The big back yard was wonderful for our two Golden Retrievers to run and play. Private setting was great. The bed was very comfortable. Satellite TV, Netflix, Wifi were terrific.

Exceptional

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week. The home is well appointed and the yard was perfect for our family gathering. The backyard fires were special meetings. Our dogs enjoyed romping while we chatted. Coffee in the AM on the back porch is a great place to start a day.

We arrived late after dealing with ATL traffic to find fresh provisions stocked; awesome. We were anticipating a nice place to gather but this retreat got the 'wow, this is really great' many times. BTW Jim, the hike you suggested on FS 4545 'up the hill' was perfect. It was a short walk to a clearing and the eclipse was spectacular. We had a few other nice hikes to area waterfalls and enjoyed pontoon boating on Lake Glenville. Thanks for sharing.
