This oceanfront property will be your favorite vacation spot every year. This oceanfront property has beautiful granite counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, and all kitchen amenities to help you feel as if you are at home. Beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards await. All you need for this dream vacation is clothes and food. The condo/apartment is on the 3rd floor with it's own private balcony and barbeque. The beautiful beach is steps away from your own private entry. It comes complete with cable television and internet. Each bedroom has its own private shower. The condo has all of the amenities to make you feel at home. The master bedroom faces two french glass doors that overlook the Pacific ocean and features a queen size bed with sunken tub and separate double head shower. The second bedroom features a queen size bed set, the bathroom has a shower, toilet, and sink. The final bedroom features a full size bed sleeping two, dresser, and nightstand. The bathroom in the third bedroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. A fourth bedroom features a sink and toilet. Living area has a full size sofa sleeper. About Monica Berki

I raised my children in the small home that was here at this location. My children learned to surf in front of this house. I work at a large hospital in the area. I bought the property in 2001. I have lived here since 2001. I live in the lower portion of the condo/Apartment with my daughter and I simply can not imagine living anywhere else. We have so many wonderful family memories of our Mission Beach home that I hope your family can make family memories as we have. Watching the dolphins play and ride the waves in front of my home still amazes me. This is and will always be my home, as was the first owners before me that lived in the original home that was here before. I am very knowledgeable of the San Diego area.

Why Monica Berki chose San Diego County

One word ...... Ocean Front. You should choose this property because the location is perfect. The location of the condo is difficult for beach goers to park. The large parking lots are a great distance for beach goers to drag beach gear, so the beach is always available to me. I never have many beach goers on the beach area in front of my home. The other great thing is that I take great care with this property and make sure that everything is clean and well maintained. Everything is new and I have an elevator. Not to mention the ocean view.

The property has been recently remodeled and furnished well. I take pride in my property. This is more than a rental, this is my place and is a representation of myself.

Great family vacation home. Plenty of space to share and privacy space with ensuite bathrooms in each bedroom. Spectacular balcony view of ocean. Close enough to city to Uber around so no need for a car. Everything you need and a totally responsive host in case you overlooked anything. Great beach front controlled access blacktop along front of property or direct beach access for easy access to walking, sunning or water sports. Plenty of towels so no need to hold back! Fully stocked kitchen so cooking in is easy and lots of eating places within walking distance. Can't say enough good things about this property!

Great place right on the beach!

Wow! Just checked in today, right on the beach and better than I thought from looking at the pictures. Ocean is just steps away and the boardwalk is perfect for bike riding, running, walking and people watching.

From looking at the other properties nearby I’m glad I picked this one because it seems to be newer with nice amenities. Even the gates and outdoor lighting all have an ocean sort of theme that gives everything a unique look. Top floor unit with great view (sunsets!!) from the patio and the sound of the ocean is awesome.

Appliances and furnishings are all modern and markets are nearby with plenty of other restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. I’m glad there's a parking spot on the side of the building because street parking looks like it wouldn’t be too convenient.

Wish I had time to stay longer!

Never again.......

24 hours before our arrival, we received a text from the owner stating that our parking space would no longer be available to us because she needed to store some scaffolding. We were surprised by this, but appreciative that she gave us a “heads up”. Once we arrived at the house, we were surprised to see scaffolding surrounding the entire house with a crew full of workers. The workers told us that the house was “closed” for the week due to painting. We immediately called the owner. She explained that the workers would be just working on the exterior of the house and they would be done shortly. Each morning, we were woken up by the work crew knocking on our door asking us to close all of the windows in the house (they needed to tape up everything in order to paint). The temperature was above 85 degrees each day and the house has no air conditioning. Our group was forced to leave the house every morning in order to escape the noise and uncomfortable temperature. The entry door would only open half way due to the scaffolding so our group had a difficult time entering/exiting each day (not to mention the difficulty of transporting suitcases). The house has no window coverings so we had to shower before the crew started work each morning. We went 24 hours without hot water due to the work. We contacted the owner to figure out why all of this was not disclosed or communicated to us prior. We gave her an opportunity to make this situation right with us and provide some type of service recovery. The owner minimized every situation we brought up. My husband even volunteered to look at her water heater for her and discovered that the heating switch had been turned off. Once he turned the switch back on, we instantly had hot water. The owner offered us a very minimal refund. Very disappointing considering we had paid a a pretty penny to stay there that week. We obviously rented this house to relax and have a view of the beach (not to be woken up each morning to a work crew in a construction zone). The owner should have disclosed all of this info to us prior to our stay so we could have made that decision for ourselves. As far as the house goes, the location and amenities are great. Here’s a tip for all renters, before you rent this house, ask the owner if she has any work planned. I would hate to see someone else trips reined because the owner choose not to disclose her home improvement projects.

Owner's Response: Let me start by saying, all of the exterior painting is finished and the house looks wonderful. I understand you’re upset and I apologize for all the items you mentioned. I would like to clarify a few points for the benefit of anyone else that might have read your review. I’m terribly sorry you felt so upset by the parking situation. As you stated I did let you know days in advance that parking would not be onsite because of the scaffolding. Also, I stated I would give you a refund for the parking being an inconvenience and offered to pay for any UBER/LYFT ride (taxi service) while you were in town if you did not want to rent a car. The temperature was not 85 degrees but was at most in the mid 70s during the day. That temperature is typical for San Diego especially on the ocean. I also live in the same building so I know what the weather was like during your stay. If it did feel too warm, several fans are in the condo that would help regulate the airflow. As far as the scaffolding near the front door, it was set up above the doorway and did not affect opening or closing the door and a review of the security camera verified this. The hot water was off for about 2 hours and not 24 hours as you mentioned. You informed me in the morning that it stopped working and I promptly went up to the condo to check it out. Your husband kindly asked if he could look at the hot water and I agreed. He checked the hot water and stated he could not fix it. I then arranged for a technician who arrived onsite within 1.5 hours and fixed the issue. Unfortunately since my rental is not a hotel I couldn’t move you to another room while the hot water was fixed but I did my best to solve the problem in only 2 hours. I’m sorry about any problems you experienced and feel I did my part to remedy the situation as I learned about it. For example, I did inform you several days in advance about parking, refunded a substantial amount of money for your inconvenience, and fixed the hot water in less than 2 hours.

Amazing views, great vacation spot.

This is really a perfect location on Mission Beach! It is right on the boardwalk and it is about 3 blocks away from Belmont Park (amusement park), restaurants, bars etc. It is far enough away that is a very quiet location, but close enough that you access to all those amenities. We loved hanging out on the upper deck...amazing views. Also with it being on the top level there is much more security so we felt comfortable leaving windows open at night. The windows were good and when closed blocked out noise really well.

The kitchen was well stocked not only with pots n pans, but also condiments like spices, olive oil, mustard ect... It made it so easy to relax and cook and not have to buy all that stuff.

Tons of equipment was provided that makes beach vacationing so easy: sand toys, a dozen beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, and a big grill on the deck. We have been to San Diego many times before and normally had to buy all that stuff just for a few days. It was so nice that it was provided.

The owner lives in the unit below and she was very responsive when necessary. For example, we had a smoke detector that began tweeting due to a low battery. She had it replaced less than 5 min. after we texted her.. The bathrooms in the guest rooms are small and tight, but it is nice to have 4 bathrooms for 6 people.

This would be a 5 star rating if it wasn't for a few drawbacks.

Parking: There is a locked/gated parking spot. Which is nice. But it is a tight fit and it was a bit difficult to get a vehicle in and out of the space. We did have a large mini-van and it is possible, but you cannot turn directly into the spot. Takes about 5 minutes to park and we had to climb in and out through the back hatch. If it is possible to bring a smaller car that would help.

Beds: We did find the beds uncomfortable. The bed my husband I slept on creaked when we made movements. The quality of the bed in the master bedroom wasn't much better. We would recommend the owner replace these beds with some mid range individual coiled mattresses and/or quiet frames.

Two other small recommendations: The TV in the main room is 34 inches. There is plenty of space for a larger TV. When all of us were watching a football game or movie we would have enjoyed a larger screen.

Blinds are needed in the bedrooms on the north side windows for both privacy from the neighbors, (we could see them dressing), and the limiting morning light.

We loved our stay at this location. There is excellent boogie boarding and surfing right in front of the property, as well as many restaurants/bars within walking distance. The place has several boogie boards, surf boards, and beach chairs accessible for you to use.
