Your rental also includes unlimited access to The Village Health Club located on the property inside The Peak Nine Inn. Pool hours are 7 AM to 10 PM and the exercise room is available from 6 AM to 11 AM. The Village Heath Club facility has four (4) outdoor hot tubs for soaking sore muscles after a fantastic day on the mountain. We also have a heated indoor-outdoor pool, aerobic and weight exercise room (with treadmill and life-cycle aerobic equipment), large steam room, dry sauna, locker room, and showers.

If you need more than our Health Club, the fabulous Breckenridge Recreation Center is just a ten-minute drive (or catch free shuttle) where for a small fee, you can enjoy wall climbing, basketball, racquetball, tennis courts, weight rooms, exercise machines, indoor running track, large lap pool for adults and. large wading pool for children, etc.

About Twilla Entin

My wife and I live in Dallas, Texas. We have been married for 31 years and have

two sons, Brett and Blake. Blake, our youngest is 28 years old, single, and works as a chef in Plano, Texas. Our oldest, Brett, is 30 years old, married with a daughter, and works as a lawyer in Columbia, South Carolina.

I went to undergraduate school at The Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina and law school at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I began my career as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Air Force, retired after 24 1/2 years, and opened my own practice. Currently, I have been practicing law for more than 46 years.

My wife attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a degree in Art History. She worked for the Dallas Museum of Art for 11 years and currently is the Executive Secretary to the Vice-Principal of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas.

I first came to Breck in 1972 as a member of the U.S. Air Force Ski Team to train for the upcoming ski season. When my wife and I got married, we honeymooned in Breck during Spring Break 1985. As our family grew, we skied all over the United States and Canada, but we always said we would come back to Breck if we ever decided to buy a ski property. Our dream came true in 2008 which culminated in the purchase of this wonderful condo.

It provides full ski-in/ski-out capability and has views to die for. I always wanted to buy here and it wasn't until 2008 that this property became available. So, we wasted no time in purchasing it. Since my wife is a native Texan (from Houston) and I got to Texas 'as fast as I could,' our condo was decorated with that in mind. We hope that you enjoy the hospitality and warmth of our home away from home.

A great condo in the perfect location

Great 2 bed condo in the best location. Very close to lifts. Well equipped and cosy with comfy beds. Great communications with owners who ensured out arrival and stay was easy and immediately sorted out the one very minor problem we had with some missing equipment. Parking charges are somewhat pricey and some other apartments in The Village include parking in the rental fee. This was out second stay at Lone Star and can highly recommend it.

Condo is beautiful and very well furnished :-)

We loved our spring break here. The location couldn't be better for skiers. It's literally a few steps from the slopes and chairs. It's also around the corner from Main St. where you will find amazing restaurants and shops. Owners were responsive all along since the beginning of our booking. Not sure where we will go next winter but if we are back in Breck we will book this condo again. Very happy. Amazing time and experience. Highly recommended :-)

Cozy, convenient, and comfortable

'Lone Star' is much roomier and cozy than we had expected. Well appointed and plenty of space for a family of 5. Condo is quiet and the location couldn't be better. Everything was extremely smooth and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Condo with lovely views and convenient location, but...

The "Lone Star" condo has lovely views, conveniently located, nicely furnished, clean and well-maintained. However, this condo is NOT handicap/wheelchair accessible as advertised. I rented this condo so that my husband (who is mobility impaired) and I could attend the snow sculpting competition. In the end, my husband did not come and it was a good thing. The condo has a lot of furniture and built-in cabinetry, that however lovely, makes the spaces very tight and absolutely impassable for anyone who is mobility impaired. There was about a foot of walking space between the master bedroom's king-size bed and the wall on one side and about 18 inches between the bed and the dresser on the other side. The "walk-in" shower in master bath has a 6 to 8 inch step up to get into the shower; the second bedroom has 2 queen-size beds and a built in wall unit (all locked drawers) that really limits walking space and is difficult to bring in a suitcase. Also, not much clothing storage space for renter, as renters don't have access to the drawers in this unit.

Besides the limited walking space in the condo, there were other inconveniences. The owner has notices asking renters not to put glasses or coffee cups on table surfaces, but there were not placemats or coasters to be found in the kitchen, living, dining areas. There were no luggage carts to be found both on our arrival and on our departure. On Sunday afternoon, six of the parking spaces (including the handicap accessible space) were blocked with orange cones. The one remaining space, was a very tight fit next to the ramp leading to the door.

Needless to say, this condo, was a disappointment as it did not meet the needs for which we had booked it. While it is suitable for the vast majority of people, it is NOT for anyone with mobility impairments. Building services, such as having luggage carts available, not blocking parking spaces, should be addressed.
