The house sits in the middle of the 4 acres surrounded by lawn, flowers, fruit trees and forest. Guests are welcome to harvest the fruit and flowers. It is very quiet, and on clear nights it is like a bowl of stars turned upside down on our land.
Both bedrooms have top quality beds, luxury linens and tv. Both rooms look out into the magnificent jungle. The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower. The towels are big and soft.
The kitchen literally has everything, all top quality. There is also a charcoal grill on the covered lanai. The eating area is outside on the covered lanai where we have a harvest table. There are stools for the kitchen island also.
The living area inside is super comfortable, also with a tv and wifi. Two of the tv's are smart, netflix included.
Outside in the covered lanai is another living set up with a couch, 2 chairs and ottomans. This is the best place to ponder how lucky you are! A wonderful outdoor shower is on the back of the house, hot and cold water, fun to use!
There are board games and a bocce ball set, dvd's, beach chairs and towels and boogie boards provided.
We stayed at Hale Noa for two nights as a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of more populated parts of Hawaii. I'm not sure we could have picked a better place. This two bedroom house, though not large, is completely outfitted for resting, relaxing, water sports, cooking, almost anything you want to do. It even has Netflix if you really want that! There are a large number of fruit trees on the property, and you are encouraged to pick whatever you want. We found it so relaxing and restful, whether walking through the acreage or just sitting outside and enjoying nature. Would love to come again!
I would recommend this rental to those who want quiet, away from busy streets, and beautiful expansive yard... looks like at least 1.5 acres or more. The welcoming flowers in the vase was nice also. We appreciated all the condiments and spices, olive oil, and even flour and sugar left by previous renters. Many units throw out everything but there were lots of things left my previous folks we really appreciated since everything is so expensive in Maui. There is one bath for the 2 rooms and they each have double beds, not queens. One of the rooms had only one night stand so it would be not handy if 2 people slept in there who needed something to place items like drinking water, book, glasses, etc. There is a nice sized kitchen with modern appliances and the W & D are outside and newer looking too. The gathering room has 2 chairs and a small couch, perfect for 4 people but not great if friends are to visit. the whole place is about 850-900 square feet. Nicely kept. There is a covered patio that is raised on a concrete floor with 2 tables. If you like to sit inside, there were only 2 stools. The manager was nice enough to bring by a 3rd when I called. We always ate inside, so one of us stood at meals until I realized that maybe we can get another one. Overall, I would recommend this for a group that is small and close, like our family of 3. The manager is really nice and helpful. I heard the lava tube is not worth it unless you just want to see something that is unusual. Go to the Natl park beach down the street and go to the right trail from the parking lot, much better than the trail to the left where most everyone goes. The trail to the right is not recommended if you have out of control toddlers b/c there are places where they can run off the bluff and fall into water below.
The yard is a wonderful, bird filled paradise. Enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the rain and birds. No microwave in the house (gasp!) but oven and plenty of cooking equipment if you feel the need. Great place to stay. TINY tv screens. LOL My computer monitor is larger. But then you're in Maui. Go outside! Driveway isn't paved and gets pretty muddy in rainy season. It's grass, but doesn't take much to turn into a mess.
The Maui Arts & Cultural Center sent several teaching artists to Hana to bring arts to the students at the elementary school. I had put my artists up iat this property. They were very happy with the serene and lean atmosphere. We will be looking at this property again for our future projects,
We loved the home, which was cozy and comfortable on a beautiful piece of property. We really enjoyed waking to wonderful bird song and being able to explore Hana, a town many people merely pass through in their rush to complete the road to Hana. Thanks for allowing us to visit.
This property is so beautiful with the fruit trees, the flowers and the giant banyan tree, it really makes for a beautiful setting. The house has a great kitchen and everything you need for a comfortable stay. My only complaint that nobody seemed to have mentioned is we had no cell phone service and since we had friends staying on the other side of town that made it hard to coordinate our adventures. For most people that probably won't matter. Also there was no shampoo and I've gotten accustomed to VRBO property's providing that and the closest store is 3 miles away so just be aware of that and bring some. Also bring bug spray as the mosquito's ate me alive! Someone had mentioned that they provided bug spray but I couldn't find any so be sure to bring that! I really enjoyed the fresh fruit and flowers! Great place just be aware of the minor things I pointed out! Enjoy! Hana is a magical place!
