Villa Vista Upper

Beauty, elegance and style...that's just the beginning. Villa Vista's upper unit is an outstanding oceanfront retreat with unsurpassed views of surf, sunsets and city lights. This three bedroom/three private bath rental features a spacious living room surrounded by a wraparound deck, offering guests a unique opportunity to enjoy some of nature's finest work in total comfort. There's also a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, outdoor eating/viewing area with natural gas BBQ, big screen SmartTV and WiFi. Parking for three cars on site. All bedrooms have king size beds which can be made as twins (they do not separate). All linens are supplied and there's a portacrib and high chair, if needed. Beach towels, chairs and toys are also available. Walk right down to the beach and enjoy the surf and sand or walk a few blocks south and you're on the beautiful bluffs above Pleasure Point cliffs watching world class surfing or exploring the many coves and tide pools. Within a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute bike ride, you can be at the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk or the quaint beachside resort of Capitola Village. Just a bit further and you're on downtown Santa Cruz's Pacific Avenue, home of boutique shops, restaurants, coffee houses and world-class entertainment. Your family and friends will never forget their time spent relaxing and reconnecting while staying in the upper unit at Villa Vista. Outstanding Location and View

The view from this unit is wonderful - ocean view and sunsets. There are surfers, dolphins, and otters active in the near view. The rooms are comfortable. Nice kitchen and dining area large enough for 8.

Perfect Location

We had a wonderful stay over New Year’s. This property is amazing, with views that are unparalleled. We met owners (relatives) when we arrived and they were so helpful, sharing that there was an elevator I could use since I had just had surgery. Plenty of room for the family of 5. Outdated furniture that needs serious cleaning, but we looked out the front windows and all was forgiven! We’d stay here again.

Couldn't ask for a better location!

We usually stay near the Mendocino area. This trip we wanted to stay near Santa Cruz Capitola area. So happy we found this Home! You couldn't ask for a better beach front location. The property is literally steps to the beach. So many great restaurants within a mile or two of the home as well. We will be back for sure!

Villa Vista is a paradise for both surfers and non-surfers alike. The upstairs unit has sweeping ocean views overlooking several sought after Santa Cruz breaks. The surf is just a few steps from the door. There is a luxurious outdoor warm-water shower to rinse off and plenty of storage for your gear. For the non-surfers in your group, the Villa Vista is an amazing retreat from the ordinary. The breathtaking 270° views are augmented by the gallery-worthy paintings depicting beach scenes hung throughout the home. It is very calming and allows one a privileged vantage point for watching the surfers and those on the beach from a place of privacy and comfort. The bleached wood ceilings, furnishings, skylights, wrap-around deck and expansive windows somehow transform the interior space to remain bright, cheerful and cozy even on the foggiest of days. Although hard to drag yourself away from the windows and the mesmerizing views they afford, all of the necessary conveniences are only a minute's drive away. Incredibly scenic walking and biking trails abound. Villa vista is indeed a wonderful private sanctuary not to be missed!

Sixty in Santa Cruz!

I rented Villa Vista for a long weekend for my husband's 60th birthday celebration. Perfect for 3 couples! GREAT location, view, driving to restaurants, marina, fish markets, etc. House was well maintained with enough seating for us all to enjoy a day of watching football and BBQing out on the deck. Beds were very comfortable.

Beautiful view!

Great location and the communication was excellent. The only hiccup was that the TV (cable) was not very good. However, we were able to use the apps to watch. The good news is that the tv was rarely on as we were able to enjoy the roar of the ocean waves, which is why we selected this location. Great relaxing stay!

Ocean views forever

Loves the Sea Cliff property. All king beds ( super comfy) large and comfortable living room and kitchen. Incredible ocean views that gave us perfect bird watching. The house is a bit dated but it’s part of the charm.

Needs upgrading

This property offers a great location with amazing ocean front views. however, it needs upgrading. The common area furniture, living room, dining room and bar stools, should be replaced. . The chairs and sofa are worn out and uncomfortable, the bar stool cushions are badly stained. The kitchen, although well stocked with utensils, glasses, etc,, is a hodgepodge of garage sale items. The barbecue in the terrace has a lot to be desired. The mattresses are comfortable.

Views Are the Best

This property has a definite '80s vibe, but it is well equipped, and the ocean views from the waterfront windows are spectacular. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom arrangement worked perfectly for parents in their eighties and two sons and their consorts in their thirties, one with a five-month-old baby. Would rent again.

Omg!!! This property is amazing. A little outdated but who cares! It fit the beachy vibe. The beach was right there. The view was incredible. We saw the dolphins!!! We loved it! Can’t wait to come back. We were sad that the telescope wasn’t there. But hey the place was amazing!
