Lil Rose was once a small horse stable. The cottage now consists of a large room divided to provide a smaller room that houses a 'working man's' twin bed. During the winter of 2014, a separate cottage (8x10) 'Lil Rose' was completed, giving The Stable a very private second bedroom. In the main space there is a Cape kitchen with a 4 burner stove and 1/2 refrigerator, a table for 2 or 3, a queen sized custom platform bed, comfortable couch, stereo TV and DVD player, wi-fi, and lots of windows on the surrounding foliage which includes black pine, olive trees and wild beach plantings. A fireplace was added to the stable, enhancing its off season ambience! The Stable now works well for a maximum of a couple with two children or an occasional guest but should be 'family.' There is a Queen size bed, a Full (Lil Rose) and a Twin available for Guests. There is an inside shower room and a bath room in The Stable. An outside terrace features deck chairs, a picnic table, a charcoal grill, and a very private outdoor shower. Although a dune blocks the Stable from having a bay view, you can hear the surf at night and a private path puts you at the top of the dune in less than a minute. The cottage is fully insulated, the interior has been completely finished in 18th century barnboard painted white, and is fully heated. It is comfortable year round.

About Carey Davidson
I am pleased to welcome you to Lil Rose, my magical home away from home. I own an integrative medical and healing arts community in New York City and my time at Lil Rose recharges me so I can provide my best self to my clients. I began spending summer vacations here and it pained me having to wait a full year to return, so I extended my visits to the other three seasons. My time at Lil Rose is always restorative and life affirming. I am blessed to have found this gem and I am delighted to share my little piece of heaven with you.

These tiny cottages are small but filled with charm. They are only steps to the beach and a short drive to Ptown for dinner and shopping. They are well maintained by helpful staff, quiet and private. It's a great way to experience a bygone era.
This was a very quiet, peaceful and beautiful area. The beach was so close and the water inviting.
The cottage was small but uses all of its space well. You have everything you need to make your meals and sit and relax. Lots to do in town or just a short drive to other towns. If you need to get away and relax and enjoy nature at the Cape, this is where you should visit!
If you are looking for a quiet spot near Provincetown and great beaches, this is the place. Even though there are other cottages on the property, I felt like ours was the only one. The Stable and Lil Rose are both very cozy and comfortable, providing everything you need in a small space. Provincetown was not far at all, less than 10 minutes by car, and you could easily ride a bike there. The beach at Lis Sur Mer is incredibly beautiful, gorgeous sunsets and peaceful mornings. My dog was thrilled to run on the beach every morning while I painted, something he gets to do at home. We had one rainy and cold night during our stay but it was no problem, we made some warm lobster chowder and sat by the fireplace. The caretaker of the property was super friendly and we never heard another guest. I am an artist and my husband is a writer. We like our vacations to be quiet and retreat-like, but we also want to be close to restaurants and shops if we want them. For us, this was the perfect spot. One thing to mention that has nothing to do with the rental is that the ticks are really bad in the area. So if you do have a dog or you are planning on hiking, make sure you check for them. We had a fantastic week and I hope we get to stay again!
Oh how we love it when artists visit and truly get the place . That was the purpose, to feed the soul of the artist in our guests.
