There’s no place like the dome house.
Sue’s dome house is a wonderful place. The access road from the nearest paved street is a bit rough but worth it to be so near South Mountain. The neighborhood is quiet. The house is very comfortable with good beds, lots of TV’s, nice bathrooms and a great kitchen. Laundry facilities are great. Right out the front panoramic window you can watch doves, quail, rabbits, ground squirrels, hummingbirds and we even saw a coyote. I hope we get to stay again in the future!
The dome was so much fun! Plenty of room to sleep and hang out, plus, you're in a dome!!
We had a great time in the dome.
Spring Training Get-away
On the positive side, Sue was easy to work with and responded to our needs quickly. Beds were comfortable, tv’s were fabulous!
The opportunities for improvements were the following:
Carpets NEED to be replaced as the numerous stains are throughout the house. Holes in the ceiling and walls need repair. Broken pet gate, accent solar lights, drawer handle, front door lock (hard to open) and worn furniture needs attention. We noticed a strong musty smell on entry to the dome each time we came in.
Most importantly the cleanliness of the house was subpar! Floors & stairs were in serious need of vacuuming and mopping. When reviewing the listing on VRBO, the photos did not match the actual condition of the home.
Overall, it was a unique 4 night experience staying in a dome house, the location was remote but not too far from the ball fields. The flexibility to bring our dog was nice.
If some addition deep cleaning and repair were done, this would be a very enjoyable vacation retreat.
The views and wildlife are outstanding
We really enjoyed our stay at the Dome house.
Enjoyed it very much.
The "Domed" house was a perfect place to stay.
The location, size and layout of the "Domed" house made our stay even more of an adventure.
