About the property

A Large Open Floor Plan With 4 Bedrooms And 4 Baths. All You Need And More.

Aloha Nalo means hidden love. Once you stay at this beachfront gem; you too will know you have discovered a great, hidden secret...beautiful Waimanalo! The sunrises over turquoise water and white sand beach; the sheer, emerald green cliffs of the Ko'olau Mountains; the warm ocean breezes; the slow, friendly pace. You will fall in love with it too.

About Waimanalo

Rated the #1 Beach in all US in 2015 by Dr. Beach. Although, Lani Kai and Kailua Beach tend to receive all the attention, quiet Waimanalo Bay shares the same magical windward coast charms but without the crowds. The white sandy bottom bay and beach stretches for miles. It remains one of Oahu s unspoiled beauties. Staying in Waimanalo will allow you to enjoy the feeling of being away from it all but still have all the convenience of Waikiki and downtown Honolulu only 30 minutes away. Waimanalo Beach is also famous for the filming of Magnum PI, Baywatch, Lost, Hawaii 50 and other shows.

About the home

Relax and enjoy this beautiful island style home. Perfectly laid out for large or multiple Ohanas (families). The home offers a large open floor plan with breathtaking ocean and mountain views. A master and second bedroom are located in the Sherwood Forest wing and are connected by the large master bath (complete with a two person jacuzzi tub!) On the Makapuu wing you will find the second Master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a 4th bedroom with its own bathroom as well. This home provides more than enough space to spread out and comfortably sleep10 people. There are a total of 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with enough seating for 10+, and large living room with a wet bar and game table for those fun family nights. An expansive deck faces out to the ocean. There is an outdoor shower and boogie boards and snorkel equipment!

The home is also securely gated with its own private beach access gate. Make sure to wake up early and enjoy your morning cup of coffee under the covered lanai and experience some of the most amazing rainbow colored sunrises, play on the beach, and fall asleep to the sound of the surf.

More about the location

You will be within walking distance to: small markets, cafes, plate lunch, or shave-ice. Anything else you may want is only 15 minutes away in the quaint beach town of Kailua, or the larger town of Hawaii Kai where you will find theaters, restaurants, and shopping, Costco and much more!

There are several activities in close proximity including Sea Life Park where you can swim with the dolphins and experience a Hawaiian Luau with fire dancers. Or you can hike the easy trail up to the Makapu'u Lighthouse where you will be able to whale watch in the winter months. Along a 10-minute breathtaking coastal drive you' can stop at Makapu'u and Sandy Beaches (world famous body surfing beach), Blowhole, Hanauma Bay (Snorkeling) and arrive in Hawaii Kai with great restaurants, shopping and all sorts of activities from boating, jet-skiing, para-sailing, golf, etc.

A 30-40 minute drive will take you to Pearl Harbor, Downtown, Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Center. A 45 minute to an hour drive will take you to the North Shore and Haleiwa.

So come relax and enjoy this beautiful beachfront island oasis. Located on the East-side of the island of Oahu, Its one of the only places on Oahu where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of 'town', yet still be so close to so many great activities.

*This property does have a separate dwelling with long term renters. The home is very private and long term renters do not have access to any of the vacation rental areas.

Heaven on Earth!

  • 5 of 5

A group of eight of us (four couples) spent a peaceful week at this property in October. Everything from the wonderful welcome to the easy, stress-free check out was top-notch (Thanks Diane!) The day started with a long morning walk on the beautiful beach and ended with cocktails on the expansive porch overlooking the ocean. Pure Heaven. I still hear the ocean waves in my dreams..........

Perfect location! The house is ideal for large groups

  • 5 of 5

My family of 9 stayed here and it was perfect! The location is ideal. We loved going to the crowded tourists spots and then being able to come back here and have the beach to ourselves. The house is extremely nice and even better than the pictures. It's perfect for a large group. There was more than enough room for everyone. Diane is extremely kind and gracious and would occasionally text us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. When we left we all agreed that we would love to stay at this house again.

Openness of home was excellant and the beach was great

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the home. Good parking. Everything you need is there, just bring your food and bathing suit.

We just found that one of the bedrooms and especially the bath was too small.

The manager was great when we called with questions or help. And she valued our privacy.

Sunrise on our private beach!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at at Aloha Nalo! The house is huge and has very thing you need and more. Our family of 5 spread ourselves between the 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms but we could easily have fit another family. Diane met us on arrival to give us an orientation of the house and could not have been more accommodating! We watched the sunrise from our bed and spent most days walking the 20 metres to the beach for a swim then back to the house for some food, etc. Highly recommend!

Incredible home with all the extras!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful stay we had at this paradise of a home! Manager Diane greeted some very hungry travelers with the words "teriyaki chicken is in the kitchen" as we entered the beautiful courtyard and we knew we'd chosen the right rental! She checked in attentively by text and phone a few times to make sure all was good, but wasn't intrusive at all. (Nor were the long-term tenants on the property--we didn't even see them).

The home is huge and decorated with beachy-homey touches and has a great open single-story floor plan. I had originally been concerned about the shared bathroom between the master and air-conditioned bedroom, but it was never a problem, since there were shades for the windows and privacy doors between each room and the bathroom. We were 7 adults and 2 toddlers and had everything we needed, both for cooking and enjoying the beach. Boogie boards and lots of used snorkeling gear left behind by other guests in the garage was a really nice surprise. Tons of towels here and beach supplies (coolers, chairs, umbrella, sand toys). It was humid during our stay (hey, it's Hawaii!) so A/C in the one room was helpful for the toddlers in our group. The rest of the house relies on the trade winds for cooling off, so if your whole group needs a chilly nighttime experience, then this may not be your place. I will trade being a bit warm for being able to have the windows open and hearing the surf.

The beach is amazing here! Small waves during our stay made for perfect boogie-boarding. The sand is soft with no rocky shore at all. A big rope swing hangs from one of the many trees between the home and the beach. A safe locked gate access path leads through the plants out to the sand. We were cautioned by Diane about Man-o-War jellyfish, but we only saw a small one on the beach about 1/2 mile away on one of our strolls. There are 4-5 inch crabs that dig holes in the beach, but they are shy. We only saw a couple from a distance.

The neighborhood is residential with very few people parking and walking down the beach access road which runs alongside the property. The public restrooms are further down the beach, so people tended to set up there on the weekend. We saw some locals bringing their horses and dogs out to the sand on a few occasions. They smiled and waved at us on the porch, but they didn't say very long (much to our grandson's dismay!).

Thanks, Diane, for all the little touches! If we return to Oahu again, we will stay here for sure!
