Terrific

  • 5 of 5

The entire experience was excellent. You're close to everything but far enough away. The water is clear and beautiful and the property was well maintained. The bunk house was excellent for the kids. There is an excellent golf course a few minutes away, a national park and a super convenient grocery store. I definitely recommend this place and I will stay there again.

Beautiful Place

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed the tranquil nature of this cabin on the lake. Very peaceful and wonderful. Even though it doesn't have air conditioning it was very comfortable because of the ceiling fans. Cleanliness was outstanding and everything we needed was there. They even have a closet with board games in it. The location couldn't have been better for us either.

The only problem we had was insufficient hot water. For us to take hot showers we needed to wait 20 minutes between them and they had to be fast. We managed but not ideal. Other than that I highly recommend this rental.

Relaxing vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with our four children ranging in age from 2-12 years and this was a perfect spot. The house and bunk house had plenty of room and felt bright and airy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware, kitchen utensils, pot/pans etc. The dock area was perfect for the kids since it was pretty shallow until you were past the dock area. We brought 2 kayaks and enjoyed padding around the top part of Lake Leenanau. The property is very close to town where there is a grocery store (NJ's), Dick's Pour House (best pizza ever!!!), a distillery to name a few places. We truly enjoyed a relaxing vacation!

Excellent location, great views, functional accomodations

  • 4 of 5

My wife & I have been to Leelanau Co. often and did a fall weekend trip for some sightseeing. The property has a great perspective on the lake and is centrally located with quick access to town as well as Suttons Bay and Leland. The main house was just right size for us. It was clean, had everything we needed and functional (although would not describe it as luxurious). We found a few new places for food and drink- try VI grill or HopLot brewery in Suttons Bay. In Leland stop in at Trishes Dishes for breakfast or lunch. If you have already done Sleeping Bear Dunes, consider a hike @ Pyramid Point on a clear day. Or rent bikes in Suttons Bay to head down the paved TART trail, there are some wineries just a bit off the path too.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! We try to keep "luxury" out of our incredible sunsets, and serene lake view. We have discovered our renters appreciate the low price of this amazing cottage. Our owners of this home want to make sure it's affordable for families & for all to enjoy. Next time you're in town, make sure to check out Streetside Grill, (Suttons Bay) or Bogey's 19th hole in Leland! Superb food and hospitality!

Perfect lake house getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Loved everything about this rental! The house itself was clean, cozy and had a wonderful view of Lake Leelanau. I personally loved the bunk house (great place for the kids to hangout). The beach area with the fire pit and chairs was the perfect spot to roast marshmallows while watching the sun set over the lake. The location of the house is right outside of Suttons Bay and isn't far from other neighboring towns like Leeland. Will be renting this property again and highly recommend to others!

Amazing home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This property is amazing- clean, cozy, and best of all an amazing view of the lake with direct lake access. Very close to Suttons Bay (walkable) and just a short drive to Leeland and Traverse City. We brought stand up paddle boards, which we used right from the dock. There's a mini beach area with comfy chairs and a fire pit, which was fantastic to hang out and around to watch the sunset and then have a bonfire. Highly recommended for a family vacation!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay here in the Land Of Delight! Also note, Suttons Bay, isn't exactly walkable....however, Lake Leelanau is! And perhaps that's what you meant.
