Welcome to our beautifully restored early-1900s carriage house, located on Shore Road in Ogunquit — just steps from iconic Perkins Cove, with its boutique shops, art galleries, cafés, and waterfront restaurants.

This two-bedroom, one-bath apartment is located on the second floor of the carriage house and is accessed by a staircase. Inside, you’ll find a bright, open-concept living, dining, and kitchen space that overlooks the pool and yard. Each bedroom features a comfortable queen bed, dresser, and closet, making it an ideal setup for couples, friends, or a small family.

The apartment is fully equipped for a relaxed stay, including a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and everything you need to feel at home.

Our property includes three separate rental units: the main house, this two-bedroom apartment, and a studio apartment below. The yard and pool are shared among all guests, creating a friendly, laid-back atmosphere — perfect for lounging with a book, taking a dip, or simply soaking up the Ogunquit vibe.

Once you arrive, you can truly park your car and forget it. Ogunquit’s beaches, paths, shops, and restaurants are all easily walkable, and the trolley stop is nearby if you’d like to explore a bit farther.

We had a wonderful time staying here in August - it's a great walkable location, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. The kids loved the pool! The owners were extremely quick to respond to questions and were very helpful. Highly recommended!

Wonderful- the carriage house was very clean and conveniently located. Our daughter loved the beautiful pool. The owners have a restaurant next door which was perfect for rainy days or long travel days when we wanted something close. Boriana was very responsive to our requests.

Perfect Location to Explore Ogunquit

We walked to Perkins Cove, we walked the Marginal Way, we walked all the way into town. Having a parking spot and a pool was great! My husband, our college-aged daughter, and I would definitely stay here again. The airy 2nd floor apartment was relaxing and met all our needs. Thank you!

Perfect perch for your week in Ogunquit

The carriage house was perfect for our family of three. Loved open concept living areas with so many windows overlooking the yard and pool. The pool was such a nice treat coming from the beach or on not-so-great beach days. The place was clean and host was super responsive the few times we needed something. Great location one mile from downtown, with plenty of restaurants in between, and just a few minutes from Perkins Cove / Marginal Way.

Great getaway!

The property was extremely convenient to town and marginal way. That Place (the restaurant) was so convenient and had amazing food! The owners were very kind. Just a FYI: The cottage was quite a few stairs. We could have used a few extra towels. But it was extremely clean and the kitchen area was well stocked.

Excellent Spot in Perkins Cove!

This is our third time staying at Boriana’s property but first time staying in the carriage house. The carriage house was spacious for our family of four. The grounds are beautiful & the pool is a wonderful addition especially with little ones. You truly can't beat this location. Easy walk to Perkins Cove. Boriana and her husband are very accommodating & responsive. We can't wait for our stay again next June.

Carriage House

Nice little appartment adjacent to Perkin's Cove and Marginal way. Everything was very clean and welcoming. The bedrooms included beds with new mattresses and pillows (much appreciated!). The bathroom is tiny and would need a little bit of renovation, the door knob kept falling off. Comfortable chesterfields. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would come back. TY!

We stopped for lunch at the lobster in the rough at york for lobster roll and steamers on the way to the property. The apartment location was awesome, right outside the perkins cove entrance. The 2 bedroom was perfect for the 3 of us. The pool and gardens were well kept and relaxing to sit by. We ate at That place and loved the baked haddock and escargot. We enjoyed the PCK perkins cove kitchen twice, walking distance and The breakfast was delish. Mimosa flight, irsh Benedict and sausage fritta. The lunch selection was just ok. There was a few gift shops near our apartment to the right, but the shops in the cove were super. Knotty finds and perkins cove chocolate. The perkins cove diner was good for breakfast too! Robertos Italian for Sunday night was very good. Chicken salitiboca over angel hair was our favorite. We did make reservations at most and it worked out well. The Maine catch was nearby but we didn't end up going there. We did stop at chauncys creek and the stonewall kitchen after checking out and that was nice to do! Ogunquit and the Yorks is always a nice trip. The hosts were very kind pleasent and they are beach area loving people, you could tell. We did call the shuttle cart once he is very nice too! we had a great time all together, so thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Great location, busy area

We had a great week in Ogunquit in Perkins Cove. Pros - This property is in a great location. Super walkable to the Perkins Cove shops, restaurants, and the Marginal Way. It's less than a mile in to town where there are more things to do with sidewalks to use so you don't have to take your car and pay for parking. The apartment is clean and well-furnished. The bathroom is newly renovated and spacious. Question on parking was answered quickly by property owner. Things to know - This is a second floor unit. Property is located next to a popular restaurant, and four of the mornings there were trucks delivering at 7am.

Absolutely fantastic in every way

Heard about this place from a friend and it was just great in every way. Perfect place for my friend and I to stay, and the location near Perkins Cove but also walking distance into town just can't be beat. Rick and Boriana are lovely folks and we're already looking forward to a return visit.

OGT gem

Our family had a wonderful stay for our annual week vacation in OGT. Having the pool as a post beach activity was so great for the kids. A short walk away from Perkins Cove, the location was great. My only tip would be to bring a baby gate for active little ones as there is a set of stairs to get up to the second floor unit.

For more than 50 years, this property was known as the Hayes Guest House on Shore Road. Eleanor Hayes welcomed travelers with homemade breakfasts, lovingly kept rooms, and a charming doll and gift shop that once filled the front of the building - making it a memorable stop for generations of Ogunquit visitors.

In November 2018, we were honored to become the new stewards of this special place. Since then, we’ve thoughtfully reimagined the property as a comfortable and welcoming coastal getaway, while preserving the character and history that make it so unique.

We are the owners of That Place in Ogunquit, our family-owned restaurant located next door.
