About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 6

For your next lake getaway, stay at Skyline Drive - and be sure you'll have panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and its majestic Sierra Nevadas. This Tahoe City vacation rental is dog-friendly, has a private hot tub, and access to a private beach.

Ski at Homewood Resort, just five miles south or visit the dog-friendly beaches at Carnelian Bay. Tahoe City Common Beach is just three miles away and offers summer concerts. Even closer is Tahoe Park and the Fire Sign Cafe - perfect for a bike ride. For more resort options, head to premier Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley. The homeowners-only beach (Tahoe Park Beach) allows guests access with passes, but please note that these spots do not allow dogs.

Back at this A-frame Tahoe vacation cabin, you can rest among the rustic-chic decor and natural woodwork. Head to the lower deck to soak in the hot tub before mountains views. In summer, take a cat nap on the hammock. On the upper deck, fire up the gas grill and lounge on the deck furnishings. Too chilly? Don't worry, because there are even deck heaters.

Inside is the homey living room with a gas stove to warm the room and a flatscreen TV complete with Blu-ray, DVD, VCR, and cable. There's even WiFi. Unplug in the game room downstairs over a round of pool. When you get hungry, fix food in the space-saving kitchen with a gas stove and all the tools needed, then dine casually at the bench-style table.

When it's time for bed, head to one of the three bedrooms and cuddle up. On the main floor is a roomy queen-size sleigh bed near a full bathroom for convenience. Upstairs are two more bedrooms with two double beds each. Downstairs with the game room are two futons - one queen size and the other twin size alongside a full bathroom.

You can bring your dogs along here, as long as they are under 40 pounds (please note that there is an additional pet fee). A washer and dryer is available as well.

Beyond the immediate area are tons of Lake Tahoe attractions! Visit Kings Beach (12 miles away), Truckee, right off of I-80, for a mini history lesson. If you're super active, you could find bike trails leading to all of these spots from your Tahoe lodge.

This North Lake Tahoe vacation rental is a prime spot for your next family getaway!

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Gorgeous view and great location; so-so house.

 • 3 of 5

Tahoe City is amazing and this house is in a terrific location, just a few minutes from Sunnyside and a quick drive to the marina. The view from the top deck is awesome and what sold us on renting the house. Unfortunately the condition of the house was less then desirable. Could use a good deep cleaning, critter inspection and deck rehab.

Good view

 • 3 of 5

The view is as described. The owner has personalized the cabin to make it feel cozy, but it is very dated. Kitchen and bathrooms need updating. It would have been helpful to have an actual document inside the house regarding beach access and any FYIs about locking doors, opening windows, which thermostat to use, or any other helpful information.

Great place with awesome view!

 • 5 of 5

Had my Bachelor Party in the Lake Tahoe area, and this place was the home base!

It's a great little A-frame with some awesome views of the lake. The interior definitely has a dated / cabin-y vibe but was perfect for my small 'crew'.

Arrival was super straight forward, use the code to get the key out of the lock box and boom, start your vacation. No driving around to find a realty office or having to be anywhere before offices close etc..

The deck was the perfect spot to hang out and grill while we planned our nights out at the North / South Shores.

I will mention, though, the grill looked like it had seen better days and that little 'stone' fire pit table thing (pictured in the main pic of this listing behind the umbrella covered wood table with the glass lazy susan) was cracked in half and didn't seem usable.

As far as the sleeping arrangements go: I got no complaints from anyone in the party (although a flat place to lay would suffice for most of my buds) and having 3 bathrooms was key.

This place has a hot-top which I'll admit we actually didn't use.. But we did check it out when we first arrived and it looked perfectly clean / working.

The game room was perfect for us. We occupied our time with some pool on the full size table after a couple of the nights at the casino. There was also a dart board (electronic, but cork!) which we never ended up using but was a great touch.

The passes to the beach were great. It was a nice little beach front for all the homeowners / members on the west shore. It had a volleyball court and some benches and some great water access (also looked like it would have been a great place to park you boat / rental..) It was also worthy to note that alcohol WAS permitted to be in the beach access area which of course was ideal.

Overall, the place was great! I would definitely recommend / stay there again! Now I'll just have to come back for the winter months!

Old school, funky, AWESOME!

 • 5 of 5

Our multi generational group could not have been happier with this A-frame cabin! Panoramic view of the lake, two living rooms, hot tub with a view, big view deck, and lots of comfortable beds. It is a brilliantly designed space. The furnishings are functional, comfy, campy and old school - we felt we were at Grandma & Grandpa's cabin. We loved it so much. We were there in April for spring skiing. This location was close to Squaw and Alpine Meadows, and we went to Tahoe City for dinner. There was enough snow to go tobogganing in the neighborhood. No snow on the road, but we were happy to have 4 wheel drive. There are sets of stairs, so perhaps not best for toddlers or people with mobility challenges. We were age 7 to 55 and it was perfect!

Loved the location, hot tub and pool table. Cable TV not working, however. Plenty of space and places to sleep. Overall we enjoyed our stay here but ow have loved to have the TV and cable working for our stay.
