About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 6

For your next lake getaway, stay at Skyline Drive - and be sure you'll have panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and its majestic Sierra Nevadas. This Tahoe City vacation rental is dog-friendly, has a private hot tub, and access to a private beach.

Ski at Homewood Resort, just five miles south or visit the dog-friendly beaches at Carnelian Bay. Tahoe City Common Beach is just three miles away and offers summer concerts. Even closer is Tahoe Park and the Fire Sign Cafe - perfect for a bike ride. For more resort options, head to premier Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley. The homeowners-only beach (Tahoe Park Beach) allows guests access with passes, but please note that these spots do not allow dogs.

Back at this A-frame Tahoe vacation cabin, you can rest among the rustic-chic decor and natural woodwork. Head to the lower deck to soak in the hot tub before mountains views. In summer, take a cat nap on the hammock. On the upper deck, fire up the gas grill and lounge on the deck furnishings. Too chilly? Don't worry, because there are even deck heaters.

Inside is the homey living room with a gas stove to warm the room and a flatscreen TV complete with Blu-ray, DVD, VCR, and cable. There's even WiFi. Unplug in the game room downstairs over a round of pool. When you get hungry, fix food in the space-saving kitchen with a gas stove and all the tools needed, then dine casually at the bench-style table.

When it's time for bed, head to one of the three bedrooms and cuddle up. On the main floor is a roomy queen-size sleigh bed near a full bathroom for convenience. Upstairs are two more bedrooms with two double beds each. Downstairs with the game room are two futons - one queen size and the other twin size alongside a full bathroom.

You can bring your dogs along here, as long as they are under 40 pounds (please note that there is an additional pet fee). A washer and dryer is available as well.

Beyond the immediate area are tons of Lake Tahoe attractions! Visit Kings Beach (12 miles away), Truckee, right off of I-80, for a mini history lesson. If you're super active, you could find bike trails leading to all of these spots from your Tahoe lodge.

This North Lake Tahoe vacation rental is a prime spot for your next family getaway!

About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Old school, funky, AWESOME!

Our multi generational group could not have been happier with this A-frame cabin! Panoramic view of the lake, two living rooms, hot tub with a view, big view deck, and lots of comfortable beds. It is a brilliantly designed space. The furnishings are functional, comfy, campy and old school - we felt we were at Grandma & Grandpa's cabin. We loved it so much. We were there in April for spring skiing. This location was close to Squaw and Alpine Meadows, and we went to Tahoe City for dinner. There was enough snow to go tobogganing in the neighborhood. No snow on the road, but we were happy to have 4 wheel drive. There are sets of stairs, so perhaps not best for toddlers or people with mobility challenges. We were age 7 to 55 and it was perfect!

Beautiful View

Loved the location, hot tub and pool table. Cable TV not working, however. Plenty of space and places to sleep. Overall we enjoyed our stay here but ow have loved to have the TV and cable working for our stay.

Highly recommend this property

The house was very enjoyable. Everything was working properly, beds and couches very comfortable. The view to the lake was amazing! We had a great time and would most likely rent again in the future.

Lovely cabin, just a dirty kitchen

  • 3 of 5

This very Tahoe-like cabin with an outstanding view, efficient gas stove heater, entertaining pool room with hot tub just on the other side of sliders to the bottom back deck, cozy bedrooms under the A-frame, and very clean bathrooms. The only bummer was the kitchen was in general, well dirty. The appliances were grimy, food left in the oven, the blender leaked my coconut water all over the counter, and dishes were put away wet with "left overs" on them.

The management team was very responsive as the hot tub water was stinky and off color, they sent someone out within an hour to clean very cold, snowy weather I might add.

Our second day in we were hit by a snow storm, lost power from Wed until we left on Friday. We actually had a great time anyway playing games by cell phone flashlight! We did find one candle and one flashlight in the cabin. However, the flashlight's batteries were dead.

If the above issues were addressed we would definitely plan a trip to this cabin during the summer. It is set up with two large decks which face out towards the lake. There looks to be a fire pit on the top deck and hammocks and multiple tables on the back deck and out into the yard....and the hot tub!

We hope you can get the kitchen cleaned up!

Can I go back...

We loved our stay here!! The views from the upstairs room and the deck are stunning. We spent most of our evenings in the jacuzzi or by the fire watching the sunset. The perfect cabin for a little getaway.
