Why Owned by Dave and Beverly H. Managed by Marianne Snoke chose Murphy
Dave and I had been looking for a cabin in the mountains for almost a year. We wanted a mountain view, completely furnished, paved roads, and in a mountain cabin community not to far from town. This cabin fit perfectly into our plans. The cool mountain breeze, the great view, and the wildlife make the cabin a great place to visit. It is a great getaway for a vacation! Wonderful Weekend in Murphy
We were truly delighted with our experience in Murphy, NC this past weekend. Our only regret was we didn't book longer. We arrived on Friday night and were amazed with this cabin. The staff took note of it being my birthday and even gave me a birthday card!
The master suite was very spacious and comfortable. The grounds were clean! We didn't see any bears but had a wonderful view of Murphy from the porch deck. We did struggle to get a fire started as it rained all day Saturday but that didn't deter us from a good time.
The cabin was easily accessible to Murphy and we visited Valley River Brewery and Harrah's Casino. All the guys walked away winners from the casino but we all walked away winners from this weekend. Thanks for hosting us!
Thank you for the great review! We are glad you all had a great time on your birthday and at our cabin. You can always come back and stay longer.

The home was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The view is amazing.
Our family traveled to Murphy for the eclipse. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The agents handling the rental were helpful and responsive, and they provided eclipse glasses and maps of the area with our check-in. The house is lovely, with plenty of room. We spent most of our time on the porch enjoying the view. We appreciated that the porch had plenty of clean and comfortable seating. We all enjoyed the sturdy porch swing.
The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated that nice sheets and towels were provided for our stay and that the beds were made for us! The master bath is roomy and clean.
A couple of minor suggestions: It might be time for the owners to supply a new can opener and a new corkscrew, but otherwise, the kitchen was great for cooking. (The light under the microwave/over the stove also needs replacing.) The ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms also need a little TLC, but the air conditioning works well.
The location is terrific (do note the hills are steep!), close to Murphy and Brasstown. It's very quiet, and near the end of the development. The absence of traffic allows for great nighttime walks and stargazing.
We loved this place and would definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality.
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and got to experience the eclipse as well. There are two electric can openers and a manual one plus several different types of corkscrews. We will have someone check on these things as well as the ceiling fans and stove light. Thank you for your recommendations and hope you visit again soon!

The view from the porch was amazing..
The seating in the living room leaves a great deal to be desired. Sadly, the couch was incredibly uncomfortable. We ended up taking turn sitting in recliner chairs that no longer operated as reclining but they were preferable to the couch that is very much past it prime. When one pays for a week rental for a cabin with space enough for a family, one might expect to have functional and comfortable seating, a television with more current technology and just a bit larger than what was there, perhaps some dish soap, and more than 2 rolls of toilet paper and half a roll of paper towel.
The black bear in the backyard was an awesome sight!
Sorry the furniture and television wasn't to your liking, we haven''t had anyone complain before about either one. The cleaning staff always leaves two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, dish soap, and a full roll of paper towels for each new guest. I did want to mention we have updated the cabin with a new leather sofa and love seat with a memory foam mattress. A new 40 inch HDTV was added in the living room as well.
