This is a perfect getaway cabin. Clean, well appointed and offers terrific views. The gravel driveway is steep so if you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, take that to the cabin.

My wife and had an amazing time here. This was exactly what we wanted for a long weekend getaway in the mountains.Cabin was cozy, clean, well stocked, and well taken care of. The host was extremely friendly and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

The best part of this cabin is the covered deck with a nice Mountain View. The gravel road to the cabin is narrow and rough and a 4 wheel drive would be helpful .

Great secluded stay!

We stayed here for a week and had a great time. The cabin is very secluded and a great place to relax without any disturbances. The cabin is very clean, well-stocked and has anything that you might need. Beth was a great hostess and we hope to come back again!

Peaceful weekend!

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend at the Mountainside cabin! The back deck with the view of the mountains was the best. Well stocked and had everything we needed to feel at home.

Perfect getaway

I really enjoyed tge seclusion and solitude of this cabin. Still close enough to enjoy Blowing Rock and Boone, but far enough away to be a palace of solitude!

That is also precisely what we like about Mountainside-Very secluded and quiet, yet just minutes away from the charming town of Blowing Rock with its fabulous restaurants, unique little shops, trout pond, the historic Glenn Burney hiking trail, and beautiful park complete with Pickle ball courts and gardens! Being so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway means access to amazing trails with waterfalls, Nearby Boone offers that energetic college-town vibe, local craft breweries, Stick Boy Bakery, and the iconic Mast General Store. Nice private cabin in the woods, comfortable, the drive off of the main road is a bit difficult unless you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. It is not paved and very narrow, once you get to the cabin there is very little room to maneuver the car. The land immediately behind the cabin is very overgrown, would have been nice to have space as a play area. It was peaceful and we enjoyed our stay.

My, son, dog, and husband enjoyed celebrating father's day at your cabin. It exceeded expectations. Our favorite part other than the porch was the ability to get to blowing rock so quickly while still being completely secluded from others. We will bookmark this and hopefully visit again!

Great Spring Weekend

My wife and I stayed here the first weekend of April and had a great time. The cabin is well stocked and maintained and has a gorgeous view off the porch. It is perfect for a couple or small family and we would definitely recommend this cabin! It was perfect for what we were looking for!

Quiet reset

The area is beautiful! We missed the road to the switchback at first and we were shocked by how steep it was, even reading other reviews, it was a surprise. The cabin is tucked away and was a perfect size for my husband and me and our dog. We enjoyed time on the deck looking out to the mountains and listening to nature. I was longing for a hammock or lounger and would've taken several naps out there. The location of the cabin was set perfectly between two towns for shopping, dining or general sight seeing. We took a drive up to Grandfather Mt. A must see!Our 5 days here in mid July, was the reset we needed. Thanks again.

Beautiful stay!
