Magical views from the deck
I had the pleasure of spending 4 weeks during September 2018. The house is very comfortable, clean and has all the necessary amenities. The views from the deck are magical- you could spend all day sitting and observing the changing mountains, the screeching hawks and the hummingbirds. This was the perfect getaway to totally decompress from a busy work life. Very close to downtown (dining, grocery shopping), hiking and mountain biking.I liked this area so much I ended buying a house nearby.
The owner and her family were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. I can not say enough about them.
Convenient place to stay in Brevard & what a view!!!!!!
What a view!! Spent most of time on the deck. Flat driveway is a plus - but road to driveway was a challenge for us flat landers. This property might not be good for people who get ill from fragrances. Enjoyed our stay.
The house was very comfortable, close to town, & had spectacular views from the deck!
We very much enjoyed our stay, we were able to easily go to Asheville a couple of times. We kayaked in beautiful lakes about an hour away & we explored the surrounding towns. We found a couple of restaurants for dinner that we enjoyed, but mostly we liked cooking at the house & dinning out on the deck soaking in the amazing views!
Great views, great communication with owner.
My husband and I, with my mother spent a week here at the end of July. I had some trouble with the VRBO app but Sharon was responsive to messages and texts. The views are beautiful. The location is great for access to Brevard town and local hikes.
The central air was not working but she recently installed a window unit. We didn't have any issues and the lack of central air was not an issue.
The house had everything we needed and was very clean. We will definitely be back.
Great place once central air is repaired/replaced.
We had a great stay. The house was very nice and we found everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The views from the deck were stunning. The owner allowed us the use of the garage to store our motorcycles, a real plus. The only downside to our stay was that the central air system was down during our stay. The owner had recently installed a window unit in the living room to help cool the house during the breakdown. We were not told at check in there was no central air. Our first night we shut down the window unit and started the central unit as the house was stuffy. We woke up at 1:00AM to 84F in the house. After the owner confirmed the central unit was dead, we found if we kept the window unit cold enough to hang meat the bedrooms were comfortable. The owner advised us to keep the fan on the cental unit while using the window unit. This was on the advise of her hvac contractor. This did not work. Once the central unit is repaired/replaced. This house would be perfect and I would highly recommend it to anyone. My advise to any owner, if you have a problem which makes your house a little iffy, be upfront with your clients. By the way, I am a retired HVAC contractor with 43 years in the trade.
Beautiful view, great house, super comfortable
What a great way to spend a long weekend. So nice to sit out on the deck read, drink a beer, whatever. Great location for access to Hikes, waterfalls and town.
Kids loved the little fish/frog pond too!
