One of the last places on Maui where you can have an " Old Hawaii" experience!

From your private lanai you have unobstructed, direct oceanfront views of neighbor islands * gorgeous sunsets * SEATURTLES * rainbows * dolphins * and last but not least the WHALES from mid-December to mid-April!!

Maui Sands is centrally located in West Maui between Kaanapali and Kapalua, where you can experience the world-class beaches and golf courses. We are also within walking distance of Honokowai Beach Park, several restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, fish market and the farmers market. You are just steps away from snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving, and paddle boarding. There is plenty to discover in the ocean waters right in front of the Maui Sands.

This is a ground floor, two bedroom and one bath DIRECT OCEANFRONT corner unit and is located in building 4 at the Maui Sands. You are away enough from traffic noise, and 20 feet away from the beautiful pacific ocean. Come and hear the calming sounds of the soothing ocean waves!

The spacious living and dining area, provide seating for up to four (4) guest. There is a wall air conditioner unit in the living area and you do have oceanfront views from the kitchen and living area. The fully furnished kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator/freezer and a stove. The unit can sleep up to four (4) guests comfortably. The master bedroom provide a King size bed (mattress was replaced in May 2017) and the guestroom as a queen size bed (mattress was replaced in May 2017). The bathroom is complete with a tub/shower combo and a vanity area. This unit has had some updates, but it has not been modernized with granite countertops, etc. There is a flat screen TV in the living area, along with a DVD player. The unit also provides a washer and dryer, basic cable, WiFi and a basic "starter" set of kitchen and bath supplies. Maui Sands provides 1 assigned parking space per unit at no additional charge.

Take a stroll through the three acres of beautifully landscaped and well-maintained tropical gardens, with tropical fruit trees, native plants and large grassy areas. The property has a fresh water swimming pool with a depth of 8 feet in the deep-end, barbeque areas, ice machine and a coin-operated Laundromat on-site. The observation deck that overlooks the ocean provides a great place for guests and owners to gather each night to watch the sunset while sipping on their favorite beverage.

Maui Sands is located at the end of North Kaanapali Beach which is approximately 3 miles long. Kaanapali Beach was voted one of the nicest beaches in the US and Black Rock is one of the top three “must snorkel” places to on Maui! When the tide is out you can take a walk on the beach from Maui Sands all the way to Black Rock and Whaler's Village.

Our Beach..

Typically during the summer months the ocean currents move the sand north towards our property and our beach grows. This is due to the increased tropical activity south of the islands. During the winter months the Alaskan storm systems push the current and the sand south towards Kaanapali and our beach comes and goes. But, a sandy beach is never more than the property next door!

Fabulous place

We loved our ten day stay. It was everything that was advertised. Very well stocked. Enjoyed all the beach toys. Bree at Maui Beach Properties was excellent to work with. We will definitely be back. The condo was as advertised, rustic but exactly what we wanted, not a sterile, huge, uninviting resort. It was inviting and intimate, getting to know the full time residents. Our only difficulty was the beach. Tricky for young children with the waves and the reefs and no sandy beach within walking distance. Previous storm may have caused the very high tides.

A great place to stay

We love Maui Sands and have stayed there many times. We love the quiet atmosphere and the beautiful grounds. The pool is very nice and has a nice area to sit and relax and an area to grill your dinner on one of their several gas grills barbecues. There is also a convenient laundry facility.

We had an ocean view condo this time that had an amazing view. The Condo was well equipped and even had some water and snorkeling gear. We loved the the way it was decorated. We will look forward to renting this condo again!

If you want a quiet relaxed atmosphere and not the hustle bustle of a big resort then I highly recommend Maui Sands

Pretty much as expected

The amenities were as pictured in the listing. We found that many of the dishes needed rewashing before use and found the mattress to be pretty uncomfortable. My main compliant is that the seawall is not very will pictured in the listing. We were not expecting a 15 ft drop onto jagged rocks 20 ft outside our door. With a toddler that made us very nervous and wouldn't recommend this place to people with young children. We often would have neighbors walk by on the grass between our unit and the seawall. I suppose that is technically part of the shared property but definitely made it feel less private.

Family time.

Stayed in the condo in March. I loved the feeling of the old Hawaiian style. The condo itself was what I expected. For the refrigerator, stove and dishwasher needs to be replaced. Rusted in areas. There was only 4 washcloths. So bring your own. View was perfect except for the fact that we had to deal with the sinkhole repairs. Sad that the palm trees had to come down. I would come back here in hope that things were replaced. The cleaners were not the best. Had to clean myself before I felt comfortable. Mattress in king bedroom was 20 years old. Looked at the tag. And there was a gecko that lived there too. We met in the closet and on the wall.

amazing experience with a water front property

Living room of this property faces the ocean and the actual entrance into the water is several feet from the sliding door. It was my first time with such amazing location, so I enjoyed swimming near the property despite the fact that there're multiple beaches in the walking distance from the property. The only downside is that in order to get into the swimmable area you need to cross a coral reef with a pretty sharp surface, so by the end of vacation I had several cuts on my feet. Otherwise the property is pretty spacious (ew had a company of three adults and one 10 month old child). There're several good restaurants and grocery stores in 5-10 minutes walking distance. There's also a small beach park nearby, which is great for small kids. There's parking spot available for one car, but it's very narrow and our rented SUV could hardly fit into it without touching neighboring cars. Overall out two week stay in this property was very pleasant and relaxing.

The area out front is a rock shelf, and it would be a good idea to wear water shoes or reef walkers when walking over it.   The reef is about 50 yards further out from the rock shelf. Unfortunately when the property was built, the cars were not as big as they are today, so it can be a tight squeeze if you rent a larger suv or van.
