Nestled in the beautiful, pristine country side of Western North Carolina, you will find a cozy, tranquil place to retreat and relax. Nature abounds in the spectacular East Fork Valley with its majestic mountain views and rolling meadows.
This historic, newly remodeled log home is completely furnished with rare find antiques and hand-picked furniture chosen especially for your enjoyment. The house consists of hand hewn poplar logs dating back to the 1850's. Upstairs you will find two twin beds and a full bath. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a full bath. New linens, a writing desk, stone fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and tasteful decor all add to the comfort of our charming log home. Relax on the front porch after a day of hiking, fishing, or sightseeing and enjoy the views of the peaceful East Fork Creek while sipping your favorite beverage. Perhaps you might even catch a glimpse of a deer grazing in the meadow or a notorious white squirrel scampering through the trees.
Our cabin is located in close proximity to many "must sees" in the area. The new Dupont State Forest is only 12 miles away with hiking, biking, horseback riding trails, and spectacular waterfalls. The Pisgah National Forest, which hosts the Cradle of Forestry, Sliding Rock, The Fish Hatchery, and Looking Glass Rock is within 15 miles. The famous White Water Falls, the highest waterfall in the Eastern United States is approximately 20 miles away. The majestic Raven Cliff Falls located in Ceasers Head State Park is also a short distance. Brevard, home of the world famous Brevard Music Center, is only 13 miles from the cabin and has numerous antique stores, novelty shops, and fine dining. The Flat Rock Playhouse, Biltmore Estate, and Carl Sandburg home are but a few of the nearby cultural attractions.
