SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS is the tropical southernmost part of the world's longest barrier reef island on the Gulf of Mexico at the Texas / Mexico border. Located 2 miles off the southern tip of Texas, it is connected to the mainland by the Queen Isabella Causeway. South Padre Island is the finest coastal resort in Texas, with beautiful beaches, tall sand dunes, and warm clear clean Gulf waters. Incredible saltwater fishing, Gulf shrimp, fresh fish and seafood served at many Island restaurants,a wide selection of hotels and condos from cheap to luxurious, shopping, RV parks on the beach, eco-tourism and a diversity of watersports.
The Island is only a few blocks wide, around 5 miles of City real estate, then you can drive north on the beach for nearly 30 miles of desolate beaches and beautiful sand dunes, until reaching the Port Mansfield jetties and boat channel. You don't even need a car, you can walk or bicycle, or ride the free shuttle. South Padre Island boasts the best fishing in the U.S. in the Laguna Madre, in the surf and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Dolphin watch is a popular favorite activity, and the best surfing in the Gulf of Mexico is at Isla Blanca Park at the jetties. Summer is bustling on South Padre Island.
The weather is warm and dry, water temps are in the 80's and air temps in the 90's. Fall is known by the locals as the best time of the year. The water and air is still warm, and the Island is nearly vacant. Winter bring thousands of "Winter Texans" from the northern U.S., the weather is mild as well, bird watching, golf and surf fishing are popular.

Spent a three day weekend at Eddie's Condo and am looking forward to returning this October!!!! The place was easy to find, VERY, VERY, VERY clean and quiet. Enjoyed the private pool and the quick block and a 1/2 to the private beach....There were plenty activities to do from kayaking, biking, fishing, to kite surfing!!! There were also many restaurants and souvenir shops within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquiel and enjoyous vacation. Its definitely worth the $$$$$.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Eddie we just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! Our family had a great time staying at you condo. Your condo was so clean and so comfortable and our stay was great. This was our first time renting and it will not be our last. We can not stop talking about our stay with our family and friends we are going to start planning and saving for our next vacation at South Padre. Your condo had everything we needed and more. EDDIE, TKKS FOR ALLOWING MY FAMILY AND I TO STAY AT YOUR CONDO. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE STAYED THEIR. BOTH TIMES THE CONDO WAS VERY CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND EVERYTHING WE NEEDED FOR A PLEASANT STAY (WASHER/DRYER, CABLE,POTS,PANS KITCHEN UTENZILS ETC) WAS THEIR. My family and I really enjoyed ourselves at this location. Two adults, two big teens and two babys and we were all comfortable. the place was big enough for us and very clean with up to date appliances. Walking distance to the beach which is also very clean. We cant wait to go back and I would recommend to friends and family to stay.... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EDDIE

The condo was great!!! I stayed there two weekends ago and it was beautiful, but most of all it was very comfortable. Just sitting on the leather sofas puts you to sleep. The kitchen has all you need and if you want you can fix yourself a drink and enjoy it on the patio with friends. You can also take a walk one block down to the beach and relax or go for a swim. I would definitely recommend this to anybody for a weekend getaway or a week of fun and leisure.
