The house was wonderful & the location is perfect! In addition, the house is walking distance to everything. I was able to park my car and not get in again until I left. Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend my vacation. I would recommend it to anyone and can't wait to return in April!

My family and I have been going to Breckenridge for the past 8 years. We enjoy the town as much as the mountain! For the past 5 years, we have stayed at "Sunnieholme" and absolutely love it! We have never found the house to be anything but impeccable. This cute and quaint home has consistently met the needs of our family allowing for us to comfortably prepare meals together whether it be in the kitchen or using the grill located on the back deck (after we cleared the snow away:)). With the extra fees the airlines are consistently charging for baggage and knowing how much luggage a basic ski trip can require, knowing that the home we are making our own for the week has functioning laundry facilities is incredibly reasurring. The house is as cozy and comfortable as the pictures. It is the perfect mountain getaway! Thank you to the owner for being willing to share this beautiful space with us.

I am returning in July for the 3rd straight year. The unit has been perfect for me in every respect, including a most responsive and accommodating owner. The location is ideal and everyone of my guests have loved the place. When my wife puts the Good Housekeeping seal of approval on something you can take it to the bank, and she loves the place!

This was my third stay at this property in the past 18 months. The property is absolutely wonderful and perfectly located. I have used the property as the base for skiing and fly fishing vacations alone or with my wife and children. The house is within a few minutes walking distance of many of Breckenridge’s best restaurants and shops. There is a convenient bus stop around the corner that will take you in ~5 minutes travel time to the gondola base where you have direct access to Peak 8 base. Would I recommend this property? Absolutely. In fact, my family and I have the property booked for another week long skiing vacation. I was completely surprised by the previously posted review. I have never had anything but wonderful and fair treatment by the property owner. I have never been charged for any damage or cleaning other than the flat rate cleaning fee which was clearly explained in advance in the rental contract. The property has always been clean and everything has either worked properly or in the rare case when something didn't work correctly the owner quickly sent a local service person to correct the problem. I have never had any problem with the plumbing. The "leftovers" I have experienced are condiments such as ketchup & mustard, coffee & filters, are staples such as packaged spaghetti noodles, dry cereal, or even in one case a half bottle of tequila. Everything was neat, clean and in the original package. In my opinion, this is one of the great features of this property -- the cleaning crew doesn't toss everything between renters and as a result provides a great cost savings to the next renter.

Even though the house is OK, pretty small but ok, we had some issues. The fireplace is not working, the slide door is not working so you can't go to the patio, because is an old house, you have to hold all the toilets for like 10 secs. to flush, the kitchen sink occasionally doesn't work as when you use the washer machine the dirty water gets into the sink. The ceiling heat can't be adjusted because if you do so it crashes. You are not able to use the front door. As for the ceiling (told us after we paid) none of the above were told to us. We we're so careful with the house, and left the house pretty clean, we even clean up the refrigerator from our leftovers, we received the house full of leftovers, the bathrooms with really old soaps. Even thought they didn't return us our deposit regarding the cleaning lady had to spend 5 hours "cleaning" and taking off some "spots" that were never there. Believe me there is no way someone can spent 5 hours in a house that size. If you stay there we recommend to take pictures and wait for the cleaning lady so they won't keep your deposit, but for that money believe me you can find something bigger and not that old.
Owner response:There are two sides to every story. It is unfortunate that the house was not what the guests anticipated. There have never been any complaints about the house and this is the first instance a deposit has not been refunded. The deposit required was very minimal and was not returned for the following reasons: First, there was a hole in the drywall at the bottom of the stairs. Since I used the house just prior to their arrival, I know that it was not there when they arrived. The hole was not large, but still necessitated dry wall repair, sanding and painting. Second, all rental rates include a cleaning fee of 3 hours which is generally adequate. Since this cleaning necessitated a total of 5 hours, the additional charges were deducted from the security deposit. Finally, the family renting was from Costa Rica and elected to utilize paypal for payment. This incurs a service fee, which I explained was their responsibility. Since it was not paid in the rental payment , it was deducted from the security deposit. These combined costs exceeded the minimal security deposit. I emailed the guests and explained the reasons that their security deposit would not be returned. I also indicated that I would happy to discuss these issues further but never heard from them again until I read this posting. Ironicaly, I spoke with the family the day prior to their departure and they said that the house was lovely, a great place to stay and they were having a wonderful vacation. For the record, the fireplace does work, water does not back up in the sink while doing laundry and the sliding door does work, but there is 4-6 feet of snow on the deck.
