We have vacationed in South Padre at the Saida Complex for many years and purchased this condo in Early 2006.

We remodeled and refurnished our condo in the spring of 2006 and our unit stills looks the same as the day we reopened after remodeling. We have king size beds in both bedrooms with plush pillow top mattress. You will feel as if you are staying in someone's home rather than a rental! This is the third condo we've rented in Saida and is our favorite by far. We discovered that we prefer dealing with owners rather than a rental agency, and as the description indicates, this unit feels more like a home than a rental. The unit was very clean and comfortable and had great beach decor. Everything was in good condition and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners were a pleasure to do business with and we discovered that they also operate a B&B in Fredericksburg where we enjoyed a long weekend a few years ago. Saida is a great place for kids - we had our 2-year-old twin girls with us and they had a blast. The pools and grounds are well maintained and the beach is beautiful. Saida I has a great view of both the beach and the bay. With little ones we haven't explored much of the island but we loved Sea Turtle, Inc and the SPI Birding and Nature Center. Our favorite restaurant is Scampi's and we love the Triple Chocolate Toffees at Harlequin Gourmet Chocolates. We hope to have the opportunity to stay in this condo again and would absolutely recommend it to friends and relatives.

We stayed over the 4th and enjoyed it very much. great accomadaations and pretty easy to get to everything. Right on the beach and all you need to do to see the fireworks is step out the front door..
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My husband and I stayed here with our two young sons in the summer of '10. It was our first trip to South Padre, and we couldn't have asked for a better condo/complex! This condo was clean, well-equipped... AND renovated, which is always a plus! The only reason we wouldn't stay in this condo again is if we had a larger group. Otherwise, we definitely will! It was a great trip!
