3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms easily sleep 6-8 people comfortably. Warm yourself and relax in front of the fireplace on leather sofas and chairs. View nature from almost every room in the house with A-frame style windows and skylights. Sit on the large deck or private bedroom suite balcony and unwind. Relax in the brand new hot tub and look at the stars or melt away in the master Jacuzzi. A large screen plasma TV with satellite lets you keep up with the world or you can escape with our DVD player and DVD collection.
Cook outside on the gas grill or inside in the roomy kitchen. During the spring and summer seasons, you can pick your own herbs from the small herb garden and eat tree-ripened blueberries straight off the tree. Retire to the library and den downstairs and choose a book to relax, learn about or research the history of the area and of the mountain people. Plan day trips from our books on area drives, art studios, antique shops, and local food markets. Talk to Bob, the caretaker of Rabbit Moon. He has lived in the area all his life and knows a lot about mountain lore and the best hiking and fishing spots in the area.
Rabbit Moon is a home of an artist, a teacher, and a hospice worker. We want our home to be one of peace and restoration of one's spirit amidst the spirit of nature and stunning beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The area is so unique, in the mountains, hidden in the country side and yet 15 to downtown Asheville and all the culture it affords. The Biltmore Estate, the North Carolina Arboraetum, the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Smokey Mountains, Cherokee Reservation, Blue Ridge Parkway all close by. Fishing, rafting, hiking, mountain biking all found in this wonderful area of North Western North Carolina.

The owners of Rabbit Moon are a social worker/Hospice Counselor(Ann) and an artist/art(Betsy) teacher and Leonardo Da Vinci(the dog) and Zafer(the very spoiled cat). We are very support of the arts and people who are in helping organizations. We love our friends and family and sharing our mountain home with them. Rabbit Moon has a special feel of warmth and peace that all feel who go. May the Peace of nature be with us all.
