Spacious yet cosy and comfortable, Snow Lake House is only a six minute warm-up walk from the ski base area. Over 3600 square feet of flexible accommodation with great amenities including an eight person hot tub, 8' pool table, TV room and large dining area. (Floor-plans are available by email).
All 11 guests can be accommodated in proper beds in the 5 bedrooms (i.e. not in bunk-beds, and not on sofa-beds or sofas).
After a long day on the slopes there is nothing better than to climb into the hot-tub and take in the spectacular views of Lizard and Currie Bowls.
Alternatively head downstairs and have a game of pool, or watch your favourite Blu-ray or dvd movies on the 46' TV. Or perhaps you would prefer to just play your iTunes music by streaming it wirelessly from your device into the stereo and enjoy the company of friends and family in the spacious living areas.
There are five bedrooms arranged as follows, all re-painted in Dec 2011:
Master suite - comprising queen bed, ensuite bathroom, separate sitting area, gas fireplace, private balcony, and walk-in closet. The separate sitting area is large enough to take a single mattress if required;
Bedroom 2 - queen bed in a spacious room, sharing a bathroom with bedroom 3;
Bedroom 3 - queen bed plus a single bed in a generous room, with a connecting door to the shared bathroom;
Bedroom 4 - queen bed, sharing a separate bathroom with bedroom 5;
Bedroom 5 - two single beds.
Sorry, but no pets allowed and no smoking. We do not rent to vacationing students or groups of singles under the age of 27.

About the owner: Anna & Mike spent a long time looking for their ideal mountain retreat, and immediately felt at home in Snow Lake House. Zoom-in on the map to see how close the house is to the ski base!
Why the Owner Chose Fernie:
We wanted a house on a great ski hill but we also wanted a real community town to go with it. It also needed to be within three hours drive of Calgary for friends and family. We found that Fernie ticked all the boxes for us in 2009, and we love it even more today.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
It is only a short warm-up walk to the ski base area, about 6 minutes whilst carrying skis (i.e. closer than some of the car-parks - zoom-in on the map to compare).
The views are even more spectacular in the summer, as the garden leads down to the lake with the mountains dominating the skyline above.
