  What a marvelous nine days we spent in this condo, which was well-stocked and well-equipped with snorkel gear, a coffee grinder, hair dryer, and a blender for our tropical papaya smoothies, plus much more. The master bath with its dual showerheads was the best we've ever had. The view from the bedroom is awesome. Having explored the island seeing places we had considered, we concluded we had made the right decision staying in this nicely furnished, quiet, relaxing place, with a hiking trail right in front of our condo. Many were swimming in the ocean in front as well. Snorkeling in Honolua Bay was the best. Get there by 9 AM for best parking. Food on the island was fabulous. Two favorites were the ocean-front Sea House Restaurant at nearby Napili Kai Resort and the Plantation House, where we spent a wonderful anniversary dinner with a gorgeous sunset view. The owner of the condo was very pleasant to deal with. We would love to come back here when returning to Maui.

  After a rough start due to a cleaning schedule snafu, we had a wonderful time here. We had to change the sheets ourselves and walk around someone else's dirty towels the first night, but I do believe it was an anomaly and don't think future renters should be concerned. The views are fantastic and the furniture and bed very comfortable. Additionally, this condo has about everything you would need - folding chairs, coolers, beach mats, some snorkel gear, beach things for kids, just about anything. Strangely I could not find any coasters for our drinks though. The ONLY think I can think of to point out is the refrigerator really needs to be replaced. The kitchen has a granite counter top, stained cabinets, stainless steel stove, stainless dishwasher, stainless microwave... and then you turn and see an old white (with stains) fridge. I thought maybe it was just there temporarily due to some failure with the real one, but it had notes taped to it like it had been there a long time. Strangely out of place, but hidden enough it was easy to ignore. We spent our next week on Kauai - and my significant other tells me should would have been happier staying in this one for both weeks. As I said above - we'd return in a heartbeat.

  We loved our stay. The view was even better than the pictures. The bathroom and shower is beautiful. It is very roomy. Would love to stay here again.

  We stayed at this unit for a week in August 2011 and loved it! The condo is nicely decorated with amazing views of the beach from the living room and bedroom. Everything, including beaches, restaurants, and a well-stocked general store, is within walking distance so we hardly used our rental car. It is very easy to work with the owner to make reservations and he is very organized in getting information to you about the stay. We are already trying to find time to return!

  My wife and I arrived here around 8:30 PM on the date we flew in to Maui; we were disappointed that we wouldn't be able to see the sunset or walk around our first day in, but the next morning we awoke to an unbelievable sunset! You couldn't miss it if you tried from the bedroom; floor to ceiling glass windows on 2 of the 4 walls - stunning view. The pictures on this site do not do this unit justice; huge walk in shower with dual showerheads, new carpet is spectacular, furnishings are nice and well maintained. There is no A/C in this unit which worried me slightly but with fans and windows, you are more than comfortable any time of day (my wife has asthma and did just fine). The ocean breeze keeps you cool. The grounds upon which this unit is located are immaculately maintained; it's quiet, peaceful, and well manicured. Pools are spotlessly clean as well as the grills located poolside. You are steps away from the beach in this unit, as well as steps away from the Kapalua coastal trail, which if you walk from end to end will provide some excellent pictures (and exercise!). The beach below is relatively calm and good for swimming/snorkeling. Nearby restaurants are excellent (try the Gazebo for breakfast) but stay away from Pineapple Grill - bad experience there. The Ritz is just down the road, also within walking distance. Overall, Kapalua is a very upscale part of Maui, probably second to only Wailea. Short drive from here to Ka'anapali and Lahaina (try Hula Grill and Feast of Lele Luau!). The only cons of this unit would probably be the fridge (a bit old, but works just fine) and the beach directly below the unit can be a little windy sometimes (sandblasting your legs/body doesn't feel good!). Again, the pictures do not do this unit justice. Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the housekeeper brought us extra TP within a few hours of our request. The owners are accomodating, responsive and helpful. There is everything you need - hair dryer, coffeemaker and grinder, all sorts of things for the beach, board games (although don't know why you'd need them here!!), wi-fi in the unit (actually writing this review while my wife gets ready for the night, and was able to stay connected to work even though I didn't want to). New washer/dryer and dishwasher. We are leaving in a couple days to get back to reality, but you won't be disappointed if you book this unit. When we come back to Maui, we would love to stay here again!

  Our goal for this trip to Hawaii was one of rest, and relaxation, and this condo fit the bill. The unobstructed views of the ocean from the living room and especially the bedroom were breathtaking. We enjoyed our early mornings watching the sunrise out on the lanai sipping coffee, eating papaya and reading our books. While the photos on the website are good, the actual beauty of the place far exceeded our expectation. The upstairs remodeled bathroom complete with a dual shower head was a nice surprise. The house is well provisioned for beach fun including masks, fins, kick boards, beach chairs and towels. This quiet location is great for taking long walks on the beach or for enjoying an evening stroll for cocktails at the Ritz. This condo is truly lovely, the owner pleasant to deal with and we will definitely be back.

  Nicely furnished, quiet, one bedroom condo, with exceptional view of ocean and beach looking north and east, with sunrise view from master bedroom. Short walk down stairs to beach and coastal trail below. No air conditioning, but trade winds and ceiling fans commonly provide enough air flow to cool things down during day and night. Some minor maintenance issues need attending to (e.g. screen door to lanai needs replacement/repair) but overall a great experience, and easy access by car to the many other beaches and restaurants that Kapalua, Napili, Kanapali and Lahaini have to offer.

  Stayed here last year. Condo has a nice location, but is on the second floor so only has a balcony. It appears to get lots of use probably because of the daily rate (stains on the carpet & furniture, sand, grime on the woodwork.) and tye sliding glass door to the balcony leaks when it rains. The kitchen has been redone, but the rest of the condo is very original and looks it. If you're looking for a well used beach rental, this place is for you! We will not return.

  Owner response: As implied by this review, our unit has a great location and view, great price and the privacy of a second story lanai (with table and chairs). So, strangers cannot walk by and see inside the unit as is possible on ground floor units. Your privacy is maintained. After this person’s stay, both bathrooms and bedroom have been completely remodeled (Dec 2010), the carpet has been replaced and there is a new mattress and living room couch. It has always been our policy to provide our guests with the name and phone number of the cleaning service for you to call in case something is not satisfactory upon arrival or during your stay.
