  • Milestone Birthday Vacation

"Traveled to Sapphire to celebrate my 50th birthday with my husband and 4 children. Had an a amazing time. The house was all that we had hoped for and more! With a back deck on the stream and the front porch overlooking the pond, it was hard to decide where to drink my morning coffee. If you are looking for a secluded spot to relax, this is your place. If you are feeling more adventurous and want to do some whitewater rafting, the Chattooga river is about an hour away. There are also waterfalls within walking distance. I highly recommend Craig Miller with http://www.tourwaterfalls.com/about.htm. Eleven of us spent 1/2 a day seeing waterfalls 'off the beaten path'. A wonderful birthday gift! An unforgettable week in Sapphire, NC that we will be talking about for a long time. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!"

  • Frank is great

"Family road trip included our first visit to Asheville. I am not sure we could of picked a better place to stay. It was a toss up for us whether to stay in downtown or a mountain cabin, we chose correctly. The property is amazing enough for a short stay to not leave the cabin but only a 15-20 min easy drive gets you to downtown Asheville. The place is impeccable and beautifully designed, very comfortable and spacious. I think what sets this placed apart from another luxury cabin or other luxury VRBO is Frank. Frank the owner checks you in, gives you the history of the place and furniture, rundown of Asheville and Fairview and pretty much answers any question you have. This is not just a here is the keys enjoy your stay check in, it is a let me take care of you house guest kind of thing. There is fresh baked bread waiting for you and the kitchen is stocked with fresh eggs and little dairy plus dry good spices. The property has chickens, horses and ducks so if you have little kids this is a huge plus. Within minutes of meeting Frank our 3 and 4 were already at home with him feeding fish, carrying chickens and petting horses. Great guy and family, great place and not to be missed. We will be back Thanks Frank!"

  • We Love this cabin!

"A splendid place to get away from it all. The décor was very nice and not overdone. A good place to just relax from the day to day. The hot tub was a very nice added touch after days of hiking as well as the screened porch. We hope to bring our kids next time!"
