"My wife and I typically take a few days after Christmas to get away for a couple of nights alone. But now we have a sophomore in college, a Sr in High School, and an 8th grader so we felt like time alone is becoming easier to get while time together as a family is harder to find. So off we went with the whole crew! And what a PERFECT weekend it was due to this home!!! Time for monopoly, movies, fires, chess, meals together, and even a nap! Close enough to Highlands and Cashiers to make a day trip for shopping and mountain scenery. Everything you need is already in the home. Really..."

"We were a family of 10 along with 4 babies in pac n plays and still had plenty of room. The cabin is fully stocked with whatever you may need, just bring your clothes and paper products. The views from the hot tub are spectacular. If you are planning to ride the train it is within 15 minutes of the cabin there is also a grocery store located 6 miles. We had a great time and would highly recommend this property to anyone with a big family."

"I can't say enough positive things about Young at Heart. The views and setting were absolutely breathtaking. As other reviews have mentioned, the pictures truly don't do the view justice. We all agreed that this was the best vacation home we have ever stayed in. We are typically keenly aware of the fact that we're staying in a vacation home, and that wasn't the case here at all. We were just as comfortable as if we were in our own place. It was tastefully and comfortably decorated and very well maintained/ clean.
Our favorite moment was sitting by the picturesque outdoor fireplace with the twinkle lights on overhead and making s'mores while we watched the sunset over the mountains, valleys, and lakes. The hiking and nearby waterfalls are gorgeous as well.
The place itself is an A+, and working with Manning was the icing on the cake. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and didn't have any issues. He provided directions, FAQs, nearby restaurants, hiking maps, hiking recommendations, and all of the other information we could've possibly needed. He was a pleasure to work with, which made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. All of the information he provided in advance made me feel completely at ease and not nervous or unsure about a thing in advance of the trip.
We will definitely be back!!! We even talked about making this a yearly tradition."

"Very spacious home with plenty of room. Very charming and tucked away. The only suggestion I would give is that there is currently a hodge podge of kitchen supplies. While there are quite enough plates, cups, silverware, etc, if you plan to cook, you may want to bring an extra pot/pan or other baking essentials like a measuring cup. We couldn't find the measuring cups one day, and then when we did, there were only 2 different sizes to choose from. Excellent property! Owners very responsive and helpful. Would stay again!"
