Since 1903, the Rockefeller's, Fords and Edison's referred to this glorious lake escape as "Little Switzerland." No expense was spared on this beautiful 5-bedroom 4 bath, 4,000 square foot mountain home. Fantastic water and mountain views from almost every room. Professionally furnished and decorated. Gourmet fully equipped kitchen. Pillow top mattresses and luxurious linens. Two great rooms. Two wood burning fireplaces. Two large wrap around decks with lake and wooded views with wood burning fireplace. Huge lawn with surrounding forest and great tree house for kids. Perfect for children and adults of all ages.

The best vacation ever

This home felt like home from the minute we arrived. Managers were helpful and responsive to all questions and helped us greatly with restaurant recommendations, activity planning, etc. The covered porch was our station for much of the trip -- the view is incredible.

Nothing could have been better!

This is the most comfortable vacation home we have ever stayed at. Beautiful furnishings, floor plan gives lots of privacy for each couple. Large comfortable deck areas for relaxing, talking and grilling. Could not have been more pleased with our vacation in this lovely home.

We were in Lake Toxaway for a family wedding. The house was perfect for the 8 of us. The house was decorated so pretty and everything was so clean and neat! Great stay at Lake Toxaway!

We had a wonderful time at this property in Lake Toxaway. The check in process was very easy, and Karla checked in on us numerous times to make sure that all was well. The home has a great view of the lake. The kitchen is well appointed, and all in our group enjoyed their sleeping arrangements. When we return to Lake Toxaway, we will plan to stay with Karla again!

Family get away

This home worked out great for our family. We had enough bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of outside spaces to enjoy the views of the mountains and of the lake. We were able to cook many meals and had enough seating to be together. Karla was easy to communicate with and was eager to be sure we had what we needed for a fun family time.

Large family wedding

Look no further, this house has everything you could possibly want. Beautiful vistas, plenty of room, and a truly gourmet kitchen. Ideally situated above Lake Toxaway, the large deck is where you will hang out the most. We had 9 people in our group and no one was ever crowded. Karla was a dream to work with.

It was simply perfect !

The house became a part of my wedding experience with my family I had the best memory of sitting on the porch with my father having him tell me the story of my mother and his wedding but of how proud she would have been of me, all the while looking out into the mountains and lake . Magical to say the least and a warm home filled with love the moment you walk in.

Wonderful Lake View!

What an incredible experience. Karla (owner) was responsive and gracious throughout the entire stay. The house is comfortable with planty of space for 2 families (8 people). We could have fit in more with no issues. Amentaties were top notch and the view, oh what a view!! What a beautiful view of the entire back side of the house. We will come back often without hesitation!

Great location over looking the lake. Plenty of room for our family. Nice to have spices and some basics in house especially since it was a short stay. The dishwasher could use a new lower rack. Didn’t have enough tines to hold dishes and they were being held together by zip ties. Otherwise it was lovely.

The perfect vacation!

This house is a gem! It has everything you need for a relaxing vacation to Lake Toxaway. The house can comfortably fit a large group. The kitchen has everything you need and the bed linens and towels will make you feel like you’re at a resort! Karla was very easy to work and answered all of our questions prior to arrival (which is helpful, since grocery stores aren’t close and you need to stock up before you come!) and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The gas grill is perfect for cooking out and enjoying the outdoors while you’re there. The view is incredible for both sunrises and sunsets! We will definitely be back and are so thankful that Karla opened up her home to us!
