Great place to stay! Quiet and conveniently located! As others have mentioned the pot holes are a bit rough but wouldn’t keep us from staying again. We’ve stayed here twice now and have enjoyed it very much both times. Owners were responsive when we reached out. Only thing I’d love to have that’s not provided would be a grill to cook the fresh trout we caught! Thanks for providing a wonderful place to stay!
Not a fancy place, but met all my needs and expectations. I came primarily to fish and it was close to many of my spots. The home was outside of town away from all the traffic and noise which was nice. Emily’s Place was very clean and had all the amenities I needed. One thing I particularly liked was, unlike other VRBOs I have rented that supplied a starter amount of things like toilet paper, soap, dish washing detergent, etc, there was plenty of each on hand. If I return next year, I will definitely stay at Emily’s Place. One note I failed to mention was, in the advertised photos it appears that you can see the stream from the house. The stream is just across the road, but because the trees have grown up in front of the property you cannot see it. This was no big thing for me.
Outside of the house needs a good power wash . Two of the wood porch chairs had severe sawdust from the bumble bees that had holes bored into the wood. Cabin was located close to attractions. Enjoyed the casino.
The house was as described. The kitchen was well stocked with all utensils pots, pans, dish soap etc...... if I had to complain about anything it would be the pot holes going up the driveway. Everything else was great. I loved the location. We were close to everything. I would certainly stay there again.
The location was excellent, a little hard to get to but, worth a little effort. Nice and quite with only the sounds of nature except for a little traffic noise. The porch to sit on at sundown and listen to the river flowing and birds singing was very nice. Staying there was so much better than in a Rustic Cabin or a Motel Room. We had all the home comforts we're used to. The Kitchen was excellently stocked, we like to do our own cooking. The only thing I missed was my recliner. No we didn't go to the casino.
So nice place to stay. Should maybe put the house # on the entrance of the driveway way hard to tell going up the hill drive. Also the outside of the house needs power washing and the wood chairs are full of carpenter bees and should be removed. Inside house was excellent, need a new toaster the one there is stuck on bagel mode and takes forever to toast bread.
A nice cabin conveniently located for fishing the reservation. Very much liked the limited edition art. Only issue is it could use a good thorough cleaning, dusty and spider webs. The beds were very comfortable. Would rent it again.
Made for a wonderful stay for a fishin trip. Great simple little place in a perfect location. Liked it so much I'd buy it if I could. Will definitely be back again.
We stayed here few times already. That tells you all you need to know.

I am an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and have lived here most of my life. I was born and raised within a hundred yards of this home. I love nature and the outdoors and there is no better place to have these experiences than in and around Cherokee.
Why they chose this property
This was my mom's home. She passed away a few years ago but she loved the peace and quiet. What better way to honor her memory than to share with others what she loved so much.
What makes this property unique
Listen to the Ravens Ford River as you relax. Sit on the porch and watch the fire flies or gaze at the night sky. Decompress and relieve the stress. To me, this is what getting away is all about. Slow down the pace and take time to enjoy what makes you happy.
