We make our home near Lake Tahoe, California. Seamus is an award winning custom home builder. He designed and oversaw the remodel of our Puamana home. Seamus Grew up in California and has been visiting Hawaii all his life. I grew up on the East Coast and on my first trip to Hawaii, it was love at first sight. We have 3 great kids who love to ski, surf, bike, play music and sports. We all love to travel to interesting places and meet new people.

We have traveled to most of the Hawaiian Islands and fell in love with Maui. The diversity of the island, the friendly people, the great weather, the excellent restaurants, the surf, the whales, and lots of conveniences make Maui No Ka Oi (The best). We spent a couple of years searching for the ideal property and decided that we couldn't be anywhere but Puamana. The location is ideal, it's incredibly family friendly and both we and our kids love to surf, standup paddle board, and snorkel. Being able to do these things right out the back door is a wonderful thing. Add the amazing sunsets, the whale watching from the lanai, swimming with Turtles, rays and an abundance of colorful fish make our home in Puamana the perfect get a way.
We love that Puamana is a gated community and therefore safe for our children to run and play with the other children that both live full time and visit Puamana. The weather in Wet Maui is ideal; we feel its the best weather on the island. We love riding our bikes to town to get ice cream, eat great food, see a movie, have drinks, or shop. It's so convenient to just grab your surfboard or paddle board and walk just a few steps to the ocean. We have seen all kinds of amazing animals and never had to get in the car. We have swam with turtles, rays, eels, and all kinds of beautiful fish right behind our unit. Our kids will surf all day and into the evening. There's nothing that compares to sipping a Koloa Rum and POG on the lanai while watching your kids play in the ocean. During whale season, you will definitely see whales in the ocean from either lanai or move a lounge chair to the grass just beyond the lanai and spend a relaxing day watching whales breach. My lifelong dream has been to own a home where I can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean outside my bedroom window. We love waking to the sound of the waves lapping the shore.

This fully equipped and well serviced unit, in a lush garden setting and right on the water has it all! We sat each morning on the Lanai and watched surfers right outside our door and whales farther offshore. Including two master bedrooms with ensuites and a third bath and multi bed third bedroom this unit was perfect for our whole family. A location walking distance to Lahaina was a real asset and the Ocean pool (one of three) was truly spectacular. The Gallaghers even have surfboards, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs and a beach umbrella available for our use. All this in what feels like a new unit beautifully decorated and very clean. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay for our family vacation.
We had a full house! Everyone enjoyed the open floor plan which included the kitchen, living room and lanai. We had family out surfing while others were making steaks. A perfect set up for a family who wants to keep busy in the ocean. We swam, paddled and surfed literally right in the backyard. The location provides easy access to Lahaina amenities from great restaurants, cafe's or a grocery store to excursions with whale watching & snorkeling. Also, very easy access to jump on the main highway to visit different parts of the island. We will be back to enjoy the surf, weather and views of Maui! Mahalo :)
This property is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could need. There’s snorkel equipment, paddleboarding, sand toys, beach towels, a grill and all of the kitchen supplies you could possibly need. It is in a quiet, gated community and close to many shops and beaches. We watched the sunset every night from the lanai and fell asleep to the sounds of the waves. Perfect vacation spot. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent here again. The owner is responsive and fantastic to work with.
Our group of five had a fantastic time at this wonderful, newly remodeled vacation rental. The kitchen and living space opens fully onto the lanai, which is just steps away from the ocean. It was great for hanging out and most nights we ended up staying in to bbq and enjoy the view!
The unit was recently renovated in a modern, contemporary style. Everything is in perfect condition and clearly labeled for ease of use. My boyfriend and I were lucky to have the master suite, which opens up onto a private balcony overlooking the ocean. We drifted to sleep and awoke each day to the sounds of the ocean. Everyone agreed that the beds were quite comfortable!
The location in the gated community of Puamana is just south of Lahaina town. There is a quiet sandy communal beach and multiple pools. We rented bikes and often rode into Lahaina for shopping, eating or exploring. It's also easy to bike to Kaanapali. We rented surf and paddle boards in Lahaina as well (delivery options are available).
All in all a great spot to enjoy the west side of Maui!
Our family of 6 adults, a teenager, a child, & a baby utilized all the space. It looks like a brand new home, and the cabinetry makes great use of vertical storage space, leaving more valuable real estate in the rooms. The downstairs bunk room served its purpose with the kids in the bunks & grandparents in the queen bed. Mattresses are comfortable. Master suite and second BR are beautiful. All bathrooms are modern and new with rainhead showers (plus tub in 2nd BR). Washer/dryer combo available in downstairs bath. Kitchen is smartly appointed with granite countertops, new appliances and a rolling stainless steel counter. The open concept kitchen/den works since the living area a little tight with all of us in there, but well-designed within allowable space. Decor is very attractive. The wall of windows is awesome, opening up the space visually, as well as doubling the space if you opt to turn off a/c and roll walls all the way back. Much better than sliding glass doors. With no insects to deal with, we enjoyed every meal out on the lanai. Even In August it was great. Sunsets and bright stars are simply awesome! My initial disappointment that the beach is a little way to walk was quickly overcome by the palm tree lined coast and soft green grass that widens out as you walk toward the beach. It more than made up for the few steps (we needed those steps to help with the pounds we gained from piña coladas & good seafood.) It actually was more appealing to have the privacy that being on the end of the property provided. Lots of ocean activity to watch (surfing, paddle boarding, submarine diving, fishing boats coming & going, etc) with the people farther away. It is reminiscent of the "old" Hawaii that I remember from our trips 30+ years ago with low cottages spread out as opposed to the high rises that dominate so much of the Kaanapali coast just a short drive away. Lahaina is a quaint old beach town full of artists & restaurants, beach front cafes, and boutiques & gift shops. Charter fishing boats are available at the harbor. Quite simply, we loved it. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Downtown Lahaina offers great restaurants that range from family friendly to upscale. there are great stops for ice cream and shave ice, excellent shopping, and grocery store options all within 1-3 miles from Puamana
