The fun never stops at Sleepy Bear Lodge. The pet-friendly log home, which can sleep up to 22 people, is packed with entertainment options: pool, air-hockey, and foosball tables; arcades; a home theater; an outdoor hot tub; cable TV… And if that’s not enough, because it is located in the Arrowhead Resort, in summer you’ll have free access to the resort’s outdoor swimming pool. Plus the lodge is mere minutes from all the major attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. A fabulous vacation is all but guaranteed.
Set among lush trees, Sleepy Bear Lodge has 2 large decks with rocking chairs so that everyone can bask in the crisp mountain breezes, the singing of larks and wrens during the day, and the chirping of crickets at night. The lower deck has a hot tub too. Its massaging jets of water will feel so rejuvenating when you return from hiking in the mountains or exploring every inch of Dollywood.
The main floor’s great room is another space you’ll enjoy relaxing in at the end of an action-packed day. It’s tough to say which is more comfortable: the spacious leather couches or the roomy recliner. There’s plenty of room for everyone to kick back and watch TV or to enjoy après-ski drinks by the fireplace.
The great room encompasses the dining area. The live-edge wood table seats 8, and there’s room for 3 more at the breakfast bar alongside it. Though you’re sure to enjoy at least some of your meals at the numerous nearby dinner theaters and restaurants, when you do dine in you’ll find all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you need in the well-equipped kitchen. There’s even a blender for whipping up margaritas or milkshakes, and a dishwasher for making cleanup a snap.
Sleepy Bear Lodge has 2 game rooms. In the loft, you can shoot pool, play foosball, or try to score at air hockey. The downstairs houses a Ms. Pac-Man arcade and a NOS racing arcade. Alongside the downstairs game, area is a home theater, complete with a large screen and 9 cinema-style seats. After enjoying private screenings here, you may never want to go to the cineplex again!
Of course, you have to sleep some time, and Sleepy Bear Lodge’s 7 bedrooms make it easy to catch up on your z’s. Every bedroom has its own flat-screen TV so you don’t have to miss out on your favorite late-night shows. Five of bedrooms feature a king-size bed. The 6th has queen-size bunk beds; so does the 7th, as well as a futon that opens into a bed for 2, so that 6 people can camp out in that room. The kids will love it; every night will feel like a slumber party. The sofa in the downstairs game room opens into bed for 2 as well.
The lodge’s 5 full bathrooms are spread out among the 3 floors. Two of the bathrooms have combination shower/tubs, while the other 3 each have both a shower and a spacious soaking tub.
Sleepy Bear Lodge’s other amenities include free WiFi, a washer, and a dryer. But the greatest amenity might be its location. In just 5 minutes you can drive to the Pigeon Forge Parkway, home to the Titanic Museum, the WonderWorks educational amusement park, dinner theaters, and more. Dollywood, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, and Gatlinburg Golf Course are less than 15 minutes away. And in less than a half-hour you can be hiking, biking, or riding horses in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or browsing the galleries, studios, and shops of the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community. Also less than a half-hour’s drive is downtown Gatlinburg, home to the Guinness World Records Adventure, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, and the tram that travels over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.
One thing’s for sure: There’s never a dull moment when you stay at Sleepy Bear Lodge. See for yourself: Book your stay today!

This wasn't the actually house that we stayed in, but the house we were in was probably better...
It was great... can complain... got pently leg work out from the steps.. lol.
Thank you for staying with us. We are happy you enjoyed your stay.
Nice place. Comfortable for nine to sleep.
This review should easily be better. Unfortunately one of the air compressors died on an unseasonably warm day. Another unit was also not working but was repaired within 5 hours. We were miserable and were not prepared for the high heat and humidity in the house. The company says they are going to give me some financial compensation. We'll see if that happens. The cleaning crew missed a thong on one of the statues in the house. Gross! The kitchen was equiped quite well with a few missing items. We ended up purchasing scrubbers and oven mitts. If not for the a/c issues, it would have been a.complete success. Beds were all pretty comfortable. Nice big bathrooms in most rooms. We never ran out of hot water which has happened in other homes. Google, Waze and Siri do not provide good directions into the neighborhood.
Thank you Erica for staying with us and for taking the time to review our property. Your input, and all our guest feed back are vitally important to us as we want all guests expectations to be met upon arrival.
We sincerely apologies that you encountered these issues on your stay. We look forward to having you stay with again on your next visit to the Great Smoky Mountains.
Nice for family with children. Beds were nice. Bathrooms arranged well. Plenty of TVs.
When we arrived, fridge wasn't cold and had to call repair. Couple of bedrooms did not have cable TV remote. Overall a very nice place. Maybe a little overpriced with extra charges. Not enough parking. No yard at all for children. But cabin layout is very good for bedrooms, bathrooms and living room. Kitchen is fine. Large table with plenty of chairs and bench. Young children would have to be watched on very high balconies off back. Our family has stayed at many cabins. This one very good but overpriced.
Thank you for staying with us. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Sleepy Bear Lodge. We see that you took advantage of our 24/7 on call service department and that they were able to repair the refrigerator in a timely manner. It will be a pleasure to have you stay with us again on your next visit to the Smoky Mountains.
We enjoyed the cabin, 7 bedrooms, plenty of room, great location. We had 20 people for Labor Day weekend. There were a few things that could updating or repaired but nothing that would stop us from having a good time. The kitchen facet was loose and the couch in living room would not hold three cause we all ended up falling to middle. Front of cabin had different title than what company called it, confusing for abit. Would highly recommend.
Thank you for staying with us, and for sharing your experience with us! We are so happy that you enjoyed your trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, and your stay at our cabin rental! We have taken care of the sign with the cabin name, and are so sorry for the confusion. We appreciate you, and look forward to your next stay with us!
