This beautifully remodeled and tastefully decorated home has spectacular ocean views from nearly everywhere in the house, as well as views of the beautiful Maui mountains. You have the ocean and small sandy beach just steps from your lanai.

There are three bedrooms. The master facing the ocean with a king bed with a spectacular upper lanai, the second bedroom facing the mountains with a queen bed, and the third bedroom with views of the ocean and mountains with a king bed and twin bed (or the king bed can be converted to two twins for a total of three twin beds on the third floor). There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room on the first floor. Large butcher block table in the large gourmet kitchen makes a perfect and inviting gathering place for friends and family. The home is very well supplied and provides all the comforts of home.

This home is part of the beautifully landscaped, gated community of Puamana. If you have never been to Puamana, you may very well find yourself falling in love with the property and wanting to return year after year as many guests do. Puamana is a picturesque oceanfront community on 30 acres of lovingly maintained tropical grounds.

We offer so many extras -- hammock, owner bicycles for guest use, tennis racquets, beach chairs and don't forget the second floor lanai with chaise lounge chairs and umbrella for sunbathing and star gazing.

There are three swimming pools(including one right on the ocean), tennis and badminton courts, a restored plantation home/clubhouse, and large grassy open spaces. And Puamana is a well-known surf spot which residents can access right from the property!

Puamana is located in Lahaina about a mile from the historic downtown. Here you will find many great restaurants, galleries, shops and activities -- just walking distance from your home.

About Jacqueline Marcus

David and I grew up in the Midwest, but now reside in Santa Rosa CA -- in the beautiful wine country of Sonoma Valley. David is a plastic surgeon here, and I work to manage his medical practice and our rental properties. Our three sons are grown, but we all manage to still get together for our amazing family vacations and adventures in Maui. These are very special times for us, as I am sure they will be for you.

Why Jacqueline Marcus chose West Maui

We have always loved Maui ever since our first trip over when David and I honeymooned there over 30 years ago. We found ourselves coming back to Maui as a family year after year always staying in different parts of the island like Kahana, Kihea, Wailea and Kaanapali. We weren't always happy with the accomodations, so we decided to look for a place of our own. When we found Puamana, we fell in love, and we decided this was the place for us. When this beautiful oceanfront home became available, we knew it was perfect for our family and friends, and knew guests would love it as well. It is a perfect location. Puamana is lovely and it is a quick walk/bike ride/car ride into quaint and bustling historic downtown Lahaina. Why this property? Because it is a beautiful and spacious home, in a peaceful setting, right on the ocean. Just picture yourself in the hammock between the palm trees watching the sunset.

What makes this townhome unique

When you walk through the front door, be prepared to gasp in awe at the expansive ocean view right outside our sliding glass doors. You will then look around and see a beautifully decorated and appointed home. Walking upstairs you will find two beautiful bedrooms with full bathrooms, and a second lanai off the master bedroom overlooking the ocean, the palm trees and lanai. There on the lanai you will find two chaise lounge chairs and umbrella inviting you to sit and watch the surfers during the day, and the stars at night. Further up to the third floor you will find the third bedroom with a king bed on one side of the room and a twin bed on the other side. There is also a half bathroom in this bedroom. We also allow our guests to use our bicycles to get around Puamana and into Lahaina.

And, you are welcome to use our bikes to get around.

Our family of 6 enjoyed the condo very much. It fit all of our needs.

Our granddaughter really enjoyed the pineapples on most of the things in the home.

Beautiful property, stunning views

Stayed here in November 2016 with 5 adults. This was our 2nd trip to Maui and the first stay in the Lahaina area. We thought the location of the property was perfect for West Maui, with quick access to everything we needed. The home is set right on the ocean front and the views from the patio's were splendid. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable, 8 night stay. The owners were incredibly responsive to all questions that came up from the time we inquired about the property to the day we left. We would certainly come back and rent here again.

Amazing location, wonderful view, but some negatives

The home is very comfortable. We stayed with 4 adults and two kids(12 & 15)

The view is amazing. You are literally on the water.

You cannot swim out front. It is rocky and the home is located on an area where the surf seems to break, all day. There are areas to enter the water not far away. We loved hearing the waves, especially at night! Also there are a lot of people that ride the waves, so it is entertaining to watch them. The cruise ships come in, in the morning which is fun to see!

We loved the ocean pool the best. Right on the beach, and the water was cooler in that pool. There are sea turtles that swim out front of that pool!

We loved using the bikes provided to get to and from the pool. Very helpful.

Here are the negatives. Another poster mentioned how the house needed a deep cleaning. I hoped the owner would learn from that. The home was not clean. The sheets had not been washed before our arrival. We found hair in the bed, a dead gecko, and a flower petal. You can tell when sheets are fresh and clean. They were not.

We were here 9 nights so I did want to unpack and use the dressers. Filthy. Dirt, sand in every dresser drawer. Kept my stuff in my suitcase the entire time.

We spent our first hour or so wiping down surfaces. The dirt and dead bugs dust on my dresser, inexcusable. Good thing I had a small purse size package of Clorox wipes, cause other than dish soap, bug spray, and paper towels, there was nothing to clean with. Nothing!

Let's speak of the bugs. Ants in my bathroom. We kept food wrapped up in kitchen so why are the ants in the bathroom? Fresh mouse poop in the pots and pans.

The screens are not tight so don't open the windows at dusk and dawn. They come in no matter what. We had three mystery bugs, I'm not sure what they were but they were BIG.

The upstairs balcony really sold me in the listing. Looked like it hadn't been swept in weeks. Cushions filthy. Disappointing.

The dishwasher was falling apart. The closet outside is a mess, unorganized with mismatched beach shoes, a broken umbrella, broken camp chair, tube with a hole in it.

The place is just in need of love. The chairs on the front porch were stained, if this were my home, I'd be embarrassed. The gas grill filthy, the oven, dirty.

I took pictures.

I didn't tell owner until days later because I hate to complain, when I did tell her she said she was shocked. She offered to have her cleaning lady come back but at that point, we cleaned up. Beware

Owner's Response: We were heartbroken to hear that a guest had this experience at our home. We pride ourselves on keeping our home updated and in great condition, we use the top cleaning company in Puamana, and had a deep cleaning done just two weeks prior. The guests just before these guests said they had the best time and couldn't wait to come back. When I first received this review, I was worried and immediately contacted the guests that followed the reviewers to ask them about their stay and see if there was anything I could do for them, and they said everything was wonderful and loved the home and the amazing views. I am a bit at a loss for an explanation, but shared this review with our manager and cleaners and went over each comment individually to make sure anything that needed to be taken care of would be. Also, both cleaners confirmed that the first thing they do when they come in to clean is collect all sheets and towels, taken them for laundering, and then begin cleaning the rest of the home. I only heard the guests were not entirely happy when 6 days into their reservation I contacted them to ask about their stay and to encourage them to register their vehicles. I immediately went into action and contacted our cleaners, but the guests absolutely didn't want them to come by to address their concerns. As a renter of properties myself, I know that if I found a home in less than perfect condition, I would immediately contact the owners and let them know. I encourage all guests in my instructions and rental agreement to call me or our managers (and list both phone numbers) if there are any problems or if they need anything. As future guests, please remember that even the best owners in the best homes may occasionally need to address something, but it can't be done if we don't get a call or email from you immediately. Our goal has always been to provide the best experience for our guests so that they can create long-lasting happy memories of their time there. Excellent Family Vacation

We wanted to thank you very much for your home. Our family was 5 adults and 2 children ages 8 and 4 and the home had so much room for everyone. The house had everything we needed it was home away from home and felt so comfortable. The views were beautiful watching the cruise ships come in and all the paddle boarders out first thing in the morning could not have had a better vacation. Would certainly come back.

Incredible Views and a Good Location

Puamana is beautiful complex in a great location. We enjoyed the three pools in the complex and how well the grounds are maintained. This unit is right on the ocean with two lanais to enjoy the view. It comfortably fit our family of 6. All of the bedrooms are upstairs which may be a problem for elderly or disabled people. The owner is very helpful. The unit needs some updating throughout and a deep cleaning everywhere, but we spent most of our time outside anyway. We had an annoying problem with swarms of tiny ants in the kitchen area. The owner was alerted and she said she will take action. Overall, it was a good value for the money.

Owner's Response: I am always grateful for guest comments and am thrilled and excited when everyone had the best vacation of their lives there, and take suggestions for improvements very seriously. An ant problem arose suddenly, and was taken care of immediately thanks to the guest email. We have a little painting and window treatment replacement in an upstairs bedroom scheduled next month, but I always hear from guests that the home is beautiful, comfortable, nicely decorated, and that it looks much better in person than in the photos on my website. I am going to be there next week (can't wait), and if there are anythings that need to be taken care of and improved for guest comfort and happiness, you can be assured that those things will be addressed. In the meantime, I contacted the current guests who are thoroughly loving the home and Puamana, and having a great time. No pest (or other) problem to report. Mahalo. Jacqueline Marcus

Perfect family holiday vacation

Perfect Maui vacation spot. Plenty of room, luxury, beach, relaxation, ocean breezes, surf and sunshine. This listing is completely accurate if not understated. This place provides everything you will need. Our family of 5 adults had plenty of space for privacy or family times. It is within walking/biking distance to Lahaina shops and restaurants. Easy drive to all Maui sites. However, just staying at the Puamana townhouse is a great day. I would recommend or stay again.
