About The Owner

The Walton family has lived on this 200 acre property for three generations and have enjoyed the beautiful views and endless outdoor activities that life on the mountain provides. We are passionate about sharing the beauty of our property with others who wish to experience the beautiful Manitou foothills and look to provide quaint comfortable accommodations for any and all looking to explore the Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs area.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 1998

Why The Owner chose Colorado Springs

Our property provides a unique experience to those looking to visit the area due to its location on private property. This gives our guests plenty of privacy and security while also being located just minutes away from downtown Manitou Springs. Both our Lodge and Cottage provide a feeling of being secluded in the mountains of Manitou Springs allowing for our guests to spend their days down in the city, and when that becomes too much, they have the option to retreat back up the hill to the privacy and quiet of the foothills.

great location

  • 4 of 5

Our family rented both the cottage and the lodge. The arrangement was perfect. My parents were able to retreat from the noise and activity in the lodge when they needed to rest. We cooked in the lodge. Space to cook in the cottage is limited, but adequate. The rentals were very clean and are a short walk to downtown Manitou Springs - the walk back more challenging since up hill.

We had a great time - this is a good arrangement for large gatherings and we are grateful that rentals available.

Perfect place for a mountain get-away!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four very much enjoyed Waltons Mountain Cottage...just wish we could have spent more time there. Our teenage girls were able to zip-line in their own back yard so to speak. City of Manitou Springs just below was so neat to walk around and enjoy the shops and people watch. Perfect place to stay for our first Colorado experience!

Best Family re-union and vacation ever

  • 5 of 5

We rented the lodge and the cottage for our family re-union. There were 2 couples in the cottage along with 3 small children, this was perfect for them. Each room was big enough to put a pack-n-play in for the babies. The kitchen and dining room was very roomy. The cottage was very clean and stocked with everything you would ever need. The washer and dryer was a plus. We enjoyed sitting out front in the morning and enjoying the scenery. We will for sure be back. Thank-You again so much.

Wonderful place to stay in Manitou Springs!!

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd time to in as many years to stay here. My kids and I love staying here. It is close to town so it is easy to do everything, but you are up in the mountains. I highly recommend staying here. We will probably be back next year.
