Close to mountain, complete apartment

  • 4 of 5

Overall we had a nice stay in the apartment. I would say that the pictures make it look a lot more “newer” and bigger than it really is, but that didn’t detract very much from our stay.

VERY convenient location at the base of peak 9. Rental equipment and the kids ski lessons are literally right outside.

The check-in process was easy enough - just grab the keys from the lockbox location in the parking garage and you are set. That is nice if you come in after a delayed flight at 2am! You don’t have to wait for anyone/coordinate an exchange.

Parking for one car is easy in the garage just know that the spaces are tight. However, being charged $18 per night is a little ridiculous; it should be included in the price of the unit - no need for an extra charge. However, if you have 2 cars at the unit, that is a problem because the public lot across the street (or any other across town) doesn’t allow overnight parking during the “winter season” (specifically between the hours of 2-6am). That means that we had to park in a remote lot that was a little over 1 mile away which charges $15/day. It had snowed, a lot, and we had to catch an early flight out of Denver, so getting the 2 feet of snow off our car and trying to get out of the parking lot which had not been plowed (7am) was an adventure to say the least... We ended up paying $200 in parking alone - not too happy about that!

Apart from the parking, we had an issue with the sinks not draining properly BUT that was VERY quickly resolved.

The apartment has a complete kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, pans, pots, baking/cooking dishes. The only thing that could be improved upon is a proper set of knives that cut well. The ones there are very dull and cooking was made a little difficult because of that.

There is a washer/dryer that is convenient as well.

A big market is less than 5 min away and other smaller more specialized markets and a cheese store nearby (walking distance).

The sleeping arrangements were ok, although the sofa bed is very angled and really should only be slept in by children (no adult can get sleep in it - not even a nap!).

Again, overall, nice stay just a few hints to improve upon to make it better.

Prime location, with all the necessities

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here over president's day weekend 2018. The location couldn't be beat, especially with having little ones in ski school. The place was a little worn in, but it had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, and the owner's communication was superb throughout the process. The only downside we experienced was that it really only slept 6 comfortably, since the sofa bed was uneven, so it didn't produce the best night's sleep.

Lovely Condo. Fantastic Location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed 10 nights in this condo over Xmas and were very impressed.

Location is absolutely amazing. Literally steps to ski school & not much further to the lifts. I was concerned about noise being on a lower level and opposite the pool/spa area but it was totally soundproof.

Lovely open, spacious feeling to the unit. We have stayed at another 2 bed in this complex a few years ago and was much darker & cramped feeling.

We ate most of our meals in and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. There was even plenty of essentials for our arrival condiments, dishwasher tablets, detergent etc etc

Laundry facilities in the room were very convenient travelling with a child.

We had one small issue with access to the parking garage on our arrival but this was dealt with immediately by the local property manager who was very friendly to deal with.

Dealing with the owner over the months prior to our arrival we found her very responsive and pleasant to deal with.

If we return to Breckenridge I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful with a few issues.

  • 4 of 5

This condo is beautiful. It is decorated very well with upscale furnishings, has a fabulous kitchen, and a great jetted tub in the master bath. We enjoyed it but did notice a few issues.

We could not park our van in the assigned garage as the weird garage entrance for this building was just too small and strangely angled for us to comfortably maneuver through . We were luckily allowed to park in the adjacent garage which was fine but this could be a problem for someone with a larger vehicle when the condos are busy during ski season when parking spaces are in high demand. We wish the light coming into the master bedroom at night were alleviated with some black out drapes. The dryer has no outside vent and was vented into the laundry closet which is probably not a problem in the winter but certainly overheated the condo for our comfort while we were there in September (it does not have air conditioning). We noticed upon arrival that the dishwasher still had water in it and assumed the cycle had not completed. It continued to fill and leak onto the floor when not in use (we notified the owner). An earlier review mentioned sheet rock falling off the ceiling up above the master bath shower and it has not yet been repaired. The problems seemed to be related to deferred maintenance issues which is a shame because this place is gorgeous! One other thing to mention is altitude sickness may not affect everyone but know that it can/does happen and be prepared. We purchased a slightly used oxygen concentrator to bring with us to help with any symptoms we might experience which turned out to be great idea because the lack of oxygen was definitely a problem for us.

Breckenridge is a wonderful place to visit and the condo is convenient and is within easy walking distance to everything. We feel the price we paid to stay here was definitely a bargain for such a beautiful condo.

Village of Breckenridge Stay

  • 3 of 5

Trying to book through VRBO did not go well and we were being charged an extra fee. Once we went through owner it was better. The parking at the resort is a mess, the $20 fee for extra cars a night is ridiculous. Having to move cars everyday was a head ache. The condo was not cleaned at first when we got there, it did get cleaned within an hour so that was OK. The condo was nice once we fixed the broken bed. Liked having washer and dryer in unit. The key situation was not the most convenient having to use it to get in everywhere, lots of phone calls where made daily to get keys to each other. We were with a family group of approx. 35 people and everyone had problems with keys not working. It was our first time to Colorado and Breckenridge is beautiful.

Car: not necessary

We are at the base of Peak 9. We are 50 yards from from the Quick Silver liftand half a block to Main Street. This is the BEST LOCATION in town. In town and on the slope - you cannot get any closer to skiing than this! It is a true ski in[out property. Our condo faces the slopes and provides excellent views of the mountain and the skiers.
