Large Village complex has shops, restaurants and bars. The Châteaux is the flagship building of the Village complex and sits mountainside with privacy and great views of peak 9. Great unobstructed views of the Quicksilver lift. It is a true ski in / out with Quiksilver lift less than 50 yards from the apartment. Ski school in complex. Located half a block from Mainstreet. You do not need a car and can walk to everything - Shops, Bars, restaurants, grocery store.

The Resort has newly Remodeled Health Club with new Precore Exercise Equipment, Shower/locker rooms and sauna/steam room, 5 hot tubs, year round indoor/outdoor pool, Kids Videeo Arcade and heated Garage. Heated garage in basement.

The Apartment has been redecorated and newly remodeled with granite counter tops in kitchen and bathrooms, new Hickory cabinets, new carpet, tile, Moen fixtures - total remodel from top to bottom! High end furnishings with 50'' Flat screen TV in Living room, 450 thread count luxury cotton sheets, Egyptian cotton towels, new window drapes and a fully stocked kitchen. TV and DVD player in every room with Free High Speed wireless Internet. Jacuzzi spa in main bath. Spacious 1300 Sq Feet living area providing plenty of seating with modern open floor plan allowing lots of light and sun all day. Comfortably sleeps 8 in beds. MB has king bed, second BR has a queen and twin bunk beds and there is a queen sleeper sofa in Living room. Wood burning fireplace for the perfect mountain vacation. Ski school in complex and Ski classes meet right outside the building. You cannot get any closer to skiing than this! Avoid long lines in the restraunts and come home for hot chocolate/meal. About The Owner

We are a family of four that loves to ski. Breckenridge is our favorite place to ski. Our kids learnt skiing in the world renowned Breckenridge Ski School. This is our vacation home. We also have a second home in Warriors Mark west in Breckenridge ( VRBO 272732 ) that is a 4 BR spacious home - perfect when we have family /friends vacationing with us.

Beautiful with a few issues.

This condo is beautiful. It is decorated very well with upscale furnishings, has a fabulous kitchen, and a great jetted tub in the master bath. We enjoyed it but did notice a few issues.

We could not park our van in the assigned garage as the weird garage entrance for this building was just too small and strangely angled for us to comfortably maneuver through . We were luckily allowed to park in the adjacent garage which was fine but this could be a problem for someone with a larger vehicle when the condos are busy during ski season when parking spaces are in high demand. We wish the light coming into the master bedroom at night were alleviated with some black out drapes. The dryer has no outside vent and was vented into the laundry closet which is probably not a problem in the winter but certainly overheated the condo for our comfort while we were there in September (it does not have air conditioning). We noticed upon arrival that the dishwasher still had water in it and assumed the cycle had not completed. It continued to fill and leak onto the floor when not in use (we notified the owner). An earlier review mentioned sheet rock falling off the ceiling up above the master bath shower and it has not yet been repaired. The problems seemed to be related to deferred maintenance issues which is a shame because this place is gorgeous! One other thing to mention is altitude sickness may not affect everyone but know that it can/does happen and be prepared. We purchased a slightly used oxygen concentrator to bring with us to help with any symptoms we might experience which turned out to be great idea because the lack of oxygen was definitely a problem for us.

Breckenridge is a wonderful place to visit and the condo is convenient and is within easy walking distance to everything. We feel the price we paid to stay here was definitely a bargain for such a beautiful condo.

Village of Breckenridge Stay

Trying to book through VRBO did not go well and we were being charged an extra fee. Once we went through owner it was better. The parking at the resort is a mess, the $20 fee for extra cars a night is ridiculous. Having to move cars everyday was a head ache. The condo was not cleaned at first when we got there, it did get cleaned within an hour so that was OK. The condo was nice once we fixed the broken bed. Liked having washer and dryer in unit. The key situation was not the most convenient having to use it to get in everywhere, lots of phone calls where made daily to get keys to each other. We were with a family group of approx. 35 people and everyone had problems with keys not working. It was our first time to Colorado and Breckenridge is beautiful.

Chateaux condo in Breckenridge

While we enjoyed our vacation in Breckenridge the town, we did not enjoy this particular condo as much as we have enjoyed other VRBO properties. The location/proximity to town is excellent, but the location within the complex was not. It did not provide a view of the town or the mountains and instead overlooked the very basic pool and very unsightly and noisy construction that started bright and early most days. While this will not be true for every stay, this was a huge project and was disappointing for us. There were several other issues with a bathroom door that didn't lock (and instead locked you in when it was shut), drywall flaking off the ceiling in the bathroom (shower) and mini blinds that didn't function correctly and allowed sun/outdoor lighting to come into the bedroom. The kitchen was stocked with enough dishes/cook wear, but we found it not to be as clean as most we have stayed in (kitchen and bathroom). One big plus was the washer and dryer and the extra 1/2 bath. There were no TV instructions, but we were able to contact the owner and able to figure it out after a lengthy discussion over the phone. The furniture and beds were comfortable. This possibly would be a better situation with a few details resolved, but I would not necessarily describe the condo as "luxury".

Overall good , recommend bring your own hairdryer , the oven too slow at least 50 degree less than stated when you set on bake otherwise comfortable

We are at the base of Peak 9. We are 50 yards from from the Quick Silver liftand half a block to Main Street. This is the BEST LOCATION in town. In town and on the slope - you cannot get any closer to skiing than this! It is a true ski in[out property. Our condo faces the slopes and provides excellent views of the mountain and the skiers.
