Casa Melissa is a unique oceanfront home in San Pancho, Nayarit with panoramic coastal views, a heated infinity pool, and a private lighted tennis court. Perched above the Pacific, the property offers one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the area. It is a special, relaxed, and unforgettable home where the setting is the star.

You can view the coastline from Punta Sayulita in the south to the outline of San Blas to the north. If you move your gaze to the east, you can view the beautiful tropical palm jungle.

You feel like you are away from it all. Yet after a short walk on the dirt road and on the mile long, wide sandy beach, you can easily walk to San Pancho and its many restaurants and shops,

Casa Melissa is tropical Mexico as you dreamed it would be. During the day watch whales, dolphins and rays pass below as you enjoy a drink on the terrace or relax in the pool. In the evening the sunsets are breathtaking!

The house is designed for comfort and connection to the outdoors. Large open spaces, ocean breezes, and expansive terraces make it easy to settle into vacation mode.

Amenities of the villa include:

Solar panels and battery back-up so power outages and brown-outs won't bother you.
Doors and windows have screens so you can get the tropical air without any tropical bugs!
There is also a whole house water purification system so water from the tap is safe. Additionally we have a bottled purified water dispenser with instant hot and cold water.
Stay connected with our high speed internet connection.

The Casita, a 5th bedroom suite, features a queen bed, ceiling fan, air conditioner, full bathroom and a kitchenette. It has a large terrace with an ocean view overlooking the tennis court.

Our property accommodates up to 10 guests. The base price is for 6 guests, with an additional charge of $20 per night for each extra guest. Please let us know the total number of guests at the time of booking to avoid any misunderstandings.

Casa Melissa is for those who want to get away from it all, and to relax surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mexican Riviera.

Maid service is included Monday through Saturday.
The staff will even grocery shop for you before you arrive - you just pay for the groceries!

Whales migrate along the coast between December and March, with maybe a few early ones in Nov or late ones in April. See them from the terrace or get close-up on a boat in the Bay of Banderas.
Nature lovers can enjoy tropical birds flying by at eye level or go on a bird watching tour. See iguanas, geckos, tejones or tour the turtle nursery and help release baby turtles into the ocean. Ocean kayaking, snorkeling and hiking in the palm jungle or walking on the mile long sandy beach are a few of the best ways to enjoy this tropical paradise.

The small town of San Pancho is unique. It has an active polo community and a polo field, a yoga center, a nine hole golf course (currently closed) and fabulous restaurants. There are many shops and a variety of restaurants within easy walking distance of Casa Melissa.

Events during the year include a national surfing contest, annual music festival, and Art Festival in December. Or rent a car and explore the whole area.

Besides fabulous views, Casa Melissa has its own private lighted tennis court. The tennis court is a special Australian product that is used in the tropics, a synthetic grass surface topped with sand. It plays like clay but is ready for play 15 minutes after a rain shower (very important in the summer). The other great thing about the tennis court is that it slows the game down - great if you are playing mixed doubles. What makes this tennis court unique is that it has an ocean view! Try not to get distracted by the pelicans flying by as you play the game. Or play at night with the lights and when it is cool.

Casa Melissa has three bedrooms for the quoted price. The nearby Casita bedroom suite is available for rent for an extra charge. The Casita is only rented as part of Casa Melissa. You would never share this beautiful estate with other renters.

Amazing Experience

The property and experience is 5/5 in every aspect. We were a group of 8 adults with one baby. Melissa was very flexible in every little thing that we required for the baby or anything else. The house is also in excellent conditions, the beds are very comfortable and the air conditioner in every room works perfectly. The house also has a comprehensive guide of what you can do in San Pancho and how to solve any small problem that could arise (wifi, watter, etc.). The house also has anything that could need to have a wonderful day at the beach (beach umbrellas, coolers, beds for the beach, etc). Pool and tennis court also in great conditions and with lights so you can play at night. All the staff, Otto, Imelda, Yeyo, Francis are very kind and can give additional recommendations. We were very happy to choose casa Melissa for our family vacation and would come back any time if possible.

Magical Mexico Retreat

Our group of 5 adults had an amazing stay! The casa, the quiet/remote location of the casa, the town of San Pancho (incredible food, atmosphere and beaches), everything was magical. There was enough room to spread out to get some peaceful private time, or all hang out together at the infiniti pool with the incredible views of the pacific and all kinds of birds flying eye level because of the elevation,180 degree views. Pool heated perfectly, great for night swims. Beautiful property inside and out, very good natural light. The AC in all the areas made it very comfortable when it got hot. Water pressure very good. Host thought of everything from 5 gallon water dispenser, washer/dryer, dishwash, pitcher of margaritas in fridge upon arrival, bluetooth speakers, house keeper daily if necessary, landscaper in the morning. Tennis court was impecable but we never used, too hot for activity for us... Because of the remote location, we rented golf carts (electric) through Mexico golf carts online (they delivered right to front gate at bottom of steep driveway) and the carts handled street incline up to driveway (which is pretty steep as well) and the driveway incline itself just fine (3 people max). We tried to go through one local company in San Pancho and they denied us because they said they knew the location of casa melissa and said electric carts would not be suitable... Thanks Melissa for providing such an incredible property which made memories for a lifetime for all of us

The view

The property offers adequate space and offers a functional layout. The pool is nice and warm and has the best views, watching the sunsets was the best part of our trip. The property is not in walking distance to the town nor a beach but a short drive, the road to the property is steep and requires 4X4.

The property was wonderful!! The owner was very informative and accessible. The pictures don't do the view justice. It is breathtaking when you pull up to the house. The staff was highly attentive, grounds and house very well maintained. We had one issue with the gate not opening, and it was resolved immediately! If you stay here, you MUST hire Yeyo to cook. We had him for 3 dinners and 1 brunch, and his company and cooking were spectacular!! We will absolutely be back:)

Amazing Location and house

Casa Melissa was incredible. It's one of the most beautiful spots we have ever been to. The house, tennis court and pool were all in great shape and used constantly by our group. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. The house and kitchen were fully stocked with all the equipment and amenities we could think to use. We saw humpback whales, dolphins and many types of large birds from the pool and patio, and used the (basket full) of binoculars often. It is a little difficult to find at first, but Melissa gives thorough directions, and once you figure it out it becomes simple. The grounds manager helped us rent a golf cart (which was delivered to the house) on the first day. We found that more fun to take rides in to town to go to the beach and out to eat. It's a special place, and we won't forget it.

What a View!

We chose August, probably the hottest and most humid month to visit Casa Melissa, but we had a wonderful time! Melissa has made visiting so easy with prompt communication and spot on advice. Read all the previous reviews and you will see that there is not one negative response. Diva for a shuttle from the airport, Gecko car rental, Mega shopping. I don't think I have had an easier stay anywhere. The construction is quite impressive, but we didn't have any problem. It is a good idea to rent a suv with good clearance though. The views are so amazing, and we were in the pool for hours, but especially at sunset. Thanks Melissa for a wonderful week in San Pancho!

It’s all about the pool!

I chose this house to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends and family. My criteria was Mexico scenery, infinity pool with view of the ocean and AC. I chose this particular house because I also wanted it to feel like I was in Mexico and not a cookie cutter hotel anywhere. I was not disappointed. Our experience exceeded expectations and we would come here again. The host and staff are very friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The house was exactly as described. At first, I thought daily housekeeping was going to be excessive but Imelda is fast and thorough! We felt very taken care of. Lots of clean soft towels and linens. Having groceries there when we arrived was very nice too. Chef Yeyo and his Frances were a delight and made dinners for us several times over our month long stay. We were warned in advance that Constuction had begun next door and while the construction itself was never bothersome the driveway was rough from the heavy equipment and impassable without 4WD after a heavy rain. Fortunately we only had one heavy rain during our stay and we walked up. Not at all the hosts fault but would recommend 4wd rental for anyone visiting in the rainy season. I also recommend a SUV rental at a minimum, just for the clearance as there are lots of potholes and road construction. The construction crew were very courteous and moved out of the way when we needed to pass. Since we were here for a month the beach club nearby was a nice change of scenery. It also came in handy when we experienced a power outage that lasted nearly 24hours. Not the owners fault. It was the entire neighborhood. We went to the beach club to shower and relax. FYI the whole house water purification system was one of the many reasons we chose this house. What I foolishly didn’t think about was if the power goes out, no water because of the electric pump. The house manager was very communicative during the outage and did her best to get the power back. Despite the road and power outage I would come here again because the pool is absolutely AMAZING! The photos are nice buts it’s even better in person. San Pancho itself is a nice quiet little beach town. Everyone is friendly and there are some good restaurants doing things different from standard tacos. Maria’s is a great place to start and very good for families. There is something for everyone. Checkout Arigato, Ikan, Limbo, San Pan, and Barracuda.

Casa Melissa Family Vacation

This property is exactly as it is advertised and then some. The cleanliness was outstanding. Every room was spotless. The views are tremendous upstairs and downstairs. Will never forget this pool. MAGNIFICENT sunset views, gorgeous coastline, it does not come any better. Expectations were exceeded. Spectacular. Took advantage of Chef Yeyo cooking for us for 2 breakfasts and one Dinner. Delicious Mexican cuisine with leftovers for 2 more days. Although constructions were quiet a few coming from Puerto Vallarta, it never delayed us and we arrived on time. Construction on the Hill behind Casa Melissa never bothered us. I have to add that Melissa was a great hostess. She kept us informed weeks before our arrival of the going-ons in San Pancho and surrounding areas. Any question we had she answered within hours. Thank you so much Melissa ! in a Nut Shell, we will visit this place again without hesitation. House was beautifully decorated ....and the pitcher of Margarita's was a classy touch.

House is beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures. Chef was also amazing, food was delicious. Was unaware of construction taking place during our stay which was loud. On the day of our departure, construction closed the road leading up to the house which made getting to taxis incredibly difficult and we had to hike down to the main road with our luggage.

This is a truly stunningly beautiful property! We loved the house, the food that Yeyo made us was amazing, town is close enough to walk to, but far enough that you're out of the fray. We enjoyed the views from the pool and the house, and the sound of the waves is gorgeous. The house was exceedingly well-equipped too; the kitchen has everything you need, and towels are abundant. Melissa is a wonderful owner and manager. She was extremely accommodating and forthcoming with information. You cannot go wrong with a stay at Casa Melissa!

We had a wonderful time at Casa Melissa the house was just as described. A dream come true for this tennis family!

When I stumbled on the listing for Casa Melissa, I booked it immediately for three magical nights. I couldn’t believe it was available for part of our trip. We stayed the remainder of our trip at the Garza Blanca and while that was really nice, Casa Melissa was the place that we talk about when our friends and family ask about our trip. The views are insane - 180 degree views from most of the rooms. My family of four had plenty of room to spread out and then some. We spent so much time in the pool because it is just gorgeous and extremely luxurious. I have so many stunning photos from sunrise to sunset of us in the pool and we live in Florida and have plenty of pool time if that is any indication of how awesome this pool is. The town is safe, friendly and authentic but we just truly enjoyed relaxing at the house. We are a busy family with kids (ages 15 and 6) and this forced us to slow down and relax. Another highlight for my family was hiring Yeyo to come and prepare dinner for two of the three nights. Please do yourself a favor and schedule him. He is kind, professional and his meals were such a treat. I’m still thinking about his guacamole and frozen margaritas. We had enough leftovers for lunch both times. And now for those who are here for the tennis, this was truly a special treat to be able to walk down to our own private court with the waves crashing in the background. The court is fantastic and we felt so spoiled! I didn’t tell my husband and teenage son that the home had its own court so they were completely shocked when we pulled up to the gated entrance. It was such a fun surprise for them and they spent hours playing on it each day! The owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and gives you very detailed information. Thank you for everything and we will definitely return to this special place in the near future.

Wonderful getaway!

Our stay started with the beautifully manicured lawn of Casa Melissa that looks over a cliff to the Pacific Ocean. The inside was nicely decorated and cozy. Yeyo’s dinner that evening was perfectly prepared for the tires travelers. Nothing can beat their sunsets! No complaints about our stay.

Relaxing Paradise

WOW!.... Casa Melissa is a great property to relax and be spoiled. The property is well taken care of with beautiful grounds. Our family enjoyed the spectacular pool. The services are wonderful: Nidia cooked a couple special dinners - some of the best food we've had. Iris and Otto were extremely attentive to all our needs. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Melissa!

We are a family of 4. We have always spent part of the winter in Mexico. When we discovered San Pancho we knew this was the place where we wanted to build a house. We built the house to fit our family, so each of the kids had their own bedroom and could have a friend come down and vacation with them, plus we had an extra bedroom for the parents.

Why they chose this property

We were lucky enough to visit San Pancho before it was 'discovered'. When we saw this property with its incredible views we knew we had to buy it. We see more of the coast/ocean then any other property in the area! It is magical. Arriving at Casa Melissa and looking at the view is immediately relaxing. My favorite thing is to swim in the pool mesmerized by the views in each direction.

My husband and I disagreed on only one thing - which was the better view, the view to the south looking at Punta Sayulita or the view to the north looking at a series of small beaches. So most of the house has views to the south, but the master bedroom has views in both directions and has a balcony on the north side as well as opening to the terrace on the south side. In the mornings I sit in the dining room looking north and he sits at the opposite end of the table looking south. We worked it out.

What makes this property unique

Besides the fabulous view, we had to have a tennis court. We built one made out of an Australian product that is sand and astro-turf. It plays like clay but is ready for play 15 minutes after the rain ends (very important in the summer). The other great thing about the court is that it slows the game down - great if you are playing mixed doubles or singles with your husband. Oh and the other great thing about the court is that it has an ocean view. Try not to get distracted by the pelicans flying over the ocean as you play the game.
