The LOFT has been home to vacationers since 1997, offering free PARKING in the rear of the building and is well located in the heart of the city, making it a great choice for those desiring close proximity to shopping, dining and the vibrant nightlife of eclectic Asheville. Park your car in the reserved space behind the LOFT and walk to everything. After a full day in the 'Land of Sky', retire to a private second story retreat to relax and rejuvenate before heading out again. The LOFT features all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable and offers low reasonable rates. Wireless internet, Direct-TV and free Netflix on demand are all available, as well as a full kitchen, dining area and washer/dryer. There is a small desk that may be used as a workstation, and multiple USB ports and power strips to conveniently charge your devices, along with a surge protector for electrical outlets. Great location in the middle of it all

We came to visit some friends that moved to asheville about a year ago. We're mid 30s with kids and like to go out. Downtown is great. All of the good restaurants are walking distance. Parking in the back and fun shops all around. We really only had to drive a few times. We hiked at chiminey rock, and tubed down the broad river. Visit Sierra Nevada, wow.

The apartment is a well kept old school loft. No walls, one big common area, and old floors. They are super creaky, not reccomended if your kids are light sleepers. Ours sleep like logs so it wasn't bad. The place has everything you need. Wifi kinda sucks, had to reset it twice, just unplug the linksys and count to 10. Kitchen and bathroom have everything you need.

LOFT store downstairs is fun, kids loved it. Vavavoom 2 doors over is fun to visit with the Mrs. Mellomushroom has great pizza across the street. The food, so much good food, chai Pani, tupelo honey, rhubarb. Pinball museum is close by. The Moog factory! Is down the street on the way to grocery store.

great location but the noisy air conditioner and window shades were inadequate

The parking space behind the building was accessed via an alley filled with garbage cans from restaurants. We felt uncomfortable walking thru the alley and around the building at night.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your feedback. The parking space is located on Carolina Lane , which runs parallel with the Broadway and Lexington Avenue. There is a lot activity on Carolina Lane, the "alley" that you mention, which includes several residences, garage and restaurants entrances. This is downtown location and like most urban settings, trash cans have to placed somewhere, and for the businesses and residences on these parallel streets , they use Carolina Lane. Many of our guests value the off street free parking for up two vehicles included in each reservation as an added bonus. In addition to the managers' comments and from the OWNER of the property, I thank you for your comments We always want our guests to be comfortable and have a great experience. I have had the AC checked and am told that the system is working well. There will be a certain amount of noise with any system and I am sorry if it disturbed your peace. The system is designed to cool a very large space with high ceilings. It would have been helpful to hear from you about this concern at the beginning of your stay so that we could remediate any problems immediately. We do our best to provide free safe parking, and have had no complaints thus far. The alley is patrolled regularly by the police and I am not aware of any unsafe situations to date. I’ve checked the alley several times since this review and note that only 1 restaurant has a garbage container, which is on their property and which remains closed and locked. There are also several recycle cans which are not located on the street. On trash/recycle pick up day there are a number of cans awaiting pickup. Businesses are not allowed to leave trash cans in the alley except on pick up day, in the morning. I never want a guest to have any fear about their personal safety while staying at the LOFT. You are of course welcome to find and pay for your own parking accommodations as is standard with most other downtown vacation rentals. I’m sure as you have noticed, downtown Asheville has very limited parking. Again I welcome all guests to contact me immediately with any concerns and I will welcome your comments and do my best to address your concerns.

Beautiful loft in wonderful location!

We spent 4 nights at this loft and were very pleased. It was well appointed with good quality linens, comfortable beds, everything you could need in the kitchen, and beautiful decor. The location, in downtown Asheville, was perfect to walk to the many shops and restaurants. We did drive to The Biltmore Estate, but that was the only time we really used our vehicle. If you are headed to Asheville, we highly recommend this loft.
