About this property
Hyannis, Cape Cod: Sunny Seaside Cottage-3 min. stroll to the beach !
Our quaint 1950's classic cottage, cozy and charming, was totally rebuilt as a classic Cape Cod Saltbox in 2017. On the edge of the ocean close to the Hyannis Yacht Club, it is ideal for 2 couples, a small family of 4, or singles. We rebuit the cottage to include a large loft in crisp, European style. It offers year-round amenities, WIFI, Smart TV, AC & heat. The sunny living/dining room features vintage antique and modern accents. Relax on the comfortable sofa that converts to a queen bed, or slip onto the loveseat to finish your favorite book. The corner desk is great for projects or checking email. The loft has a queen bed and bunk beds. The new bathroom is light and airy with a cathedral ceiling and skylight. The new galley kitchen has modern appliances and a stack washer/dryer. Note: there is no dishwasher. The lofty cathedral ceiling sports skylights with bright sun all day & a ceiling fan to keep the breezes flowing. The new sliding door extends the kitchen onto the sunny, private deck, with dining/deck furniture and gas grill.

About the host
Hosted by Elaine R. Cwynar
As a retired chef/professor, I enjoy local seafood and taught culinary arts and Vegetarian cuisine for 32 years at a local university. My husband puts his software engineer expertise to work anywhere we go. Staying at the Cape gives us a mini-vacation whenever we spend time here. Our favorite walks and sunsets are right around the corner. We have the most fun going shellfishing and sharing nature's bounty with family and friends. The peace and quiet are refreshing and give us a great perspective on what is really important; family, friends, time together, device-free time, nature, great food and meeting our guests!
Why they chose this property
Our Saltbox cottage was my home for years. We rebuilt it from the ground up into a new Saltbox that is bright and cheery. As our family grew, we needed more room for our grandchildren and friends. Hence, we were lucky enough to purchase the bungalow next door which has been a favorite family reunion spot. Bring your family and enjoy being together with your own cottage or bungalow to return to in the evening for your own quiet time.
What makes this property unique
We enjoy the peace and quiet, long walks and easy access to activities like fishing, island visits to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket and Provincetown. Our outdoor shower is so refreshing and convenient, we use it far into the fall season as well. Our winter sojourns here are as comfortable and relaxed as summer, so we hope you consider coming during off-season as well for a well-deserved break or to enjoy the holidays.
