Overview

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

The Brasstown Creek House is a beautiful, centrally located spot to spend some quality time, whether you're looking for peace and quiet, a base from which to explore the area, a place to stay while visiting family and friends, a place to host a gathering or to take classes at the nearby, nationally known John C. Campbell Folk School.

The Creek House can be found three miles southeast of Brasstown, NC at 8105 Old US 64 in Clay County. The Smoky Mountains surround the Creek House and provide spectacular scenery. The Creek House is situated directly on Brasstown Creek which borders the edge of the Hyatt Farm. What this means to guests is lots of fun; wading, tubing, fishing, hiking, and picnicing. Quieter enjoyments at the Creek House include watching the brown herons stalk up and down the creek looking for a likely spot to catch a few fish, and listening to the creek lull you to sleep.

Very clean & quiet - loved that the cabin is right on the creek.

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful 5-night stay. The property was clean and very easy access to the Folk School. The hot tub was a great add too!!

Only recommendation would be to add hand towels for the bathrooms (there were none).

Quiet, relaxing, beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weekend at the Brasstown Creek house. The cabin is clean and had everything we needed. Sandra the owner welcomed us to walk on Hyatt Farms which is the property the cabin sits on and it was beautiful! We loved walking the farm and along the creek. Very peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Well maintained cabin in private setting

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the cabin for a weekend get away. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Sandra the owner was very accommodating and helpful with the surrounding areas. This a great place to get a little off the grid, while still having necessities within driving distance. Relax in the hot tub and let the sounds of the creek/river wash your worries away!

Beautiful spot on the creek!

  • 5 of 5

We were pleasantly surprised by the serene and quiet spot on the creek, despite the highway being across the creek and through the trees! Really never paid any attention to traffic noises! Sandra was very friendly and gave us a quick house tour before leaving us to our weekend of relaxation. The ONLY issue that I had trouble with was phone service, but considering the location, in the lowlands of the mountains, on curvy roads and pretty far from any major cities, it didn't really surprise me. This is not something that is within Sandra's control, of course, as we experienced the same issue most of the weekend as we drove and hiked around the GA/NC area. Cabin is very clean and furnished comfortably, with just enough kitchen ware for 4 to 6 people - nothing fancy, but nothing fancy was needed! Hot tub was AHHHmazing on the cold nights! Hope to pay a return visit here at some point this year!

Incredibly beautiful and very peaceful. A very relaxing retreat. Bass and Sandra are very nice.

The most relaxing week I’ve ever had. For me it was a total disconnect and much needed down time. My only break in more than six years of care giving. Sandra is a wonderful host and promptly addressed some light bulbs that blew out my second day there. Highly recommend for R & R.
