This condo will accommodate just you and your honey, or your family of six. Featuring a king suite on the walk-in level, two twins in the upstairs guest room, and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the upstairs living area, Lake Side is sure to please the whole family! Downstairs, the main living space is equipped with a gas log stacked-stone fireplace and books for guests to enjoy. Pair a priceless view of the lake with some mountain rocking chairs and this back porch is one of the most serene spots in Bear Lake Reserve. If you're looking for more fast-paced fun, the Lake Club is conveniently just down the hill!
Bear Lake Reserve:
Found in the Tuckasegee Valley in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains is Bear Lake Reserve, a master-planned 2,100 acre gated resort bordering Bear Creek Lake. Bear Lake Reserve guests have access to all the private amenities offered by the resort, including a 9-hole Nicklaus Design® golf course with a 40-mile panoramic view of the Smokies, MatchPoint Resorts Tennis, and 17 miles of maintained hiking and walking trails to spot waterfalls and mountain wildlife.

The luxuriously appointed Lake Club offers guests access to the lakeside pools, waterslide, hot tubs, private beach, gym and sauna, multiple lounges, on-site restaurant and bar, as well as a library and indoor theater. Guests of Bear Lake Reserve can also arrange equipment rentals ranging from mountain bikes to pontoon boats via the Lake Club. We love staying here! The location, amenities, and view are amazing! This was our third time staying at this property, and we’re really sad that it’s unavailable for our annual trip to Bear Lake Reserve next August. But, we hope to be back in 2023!

Bear lake family getaway

Condo was great overall. Could stand to use some updating, especially the cooking utensils, pots/pans, etc. Very firm mattresses. But THE VIEW and proximity to the lake was what we came for and it did not disappoint. Lake Lodge: We’ve been to Bear Lake many times and always enjoyed the Lake Lodge. This time it seemed to be showing a lot of wear and tear. Garbage piled up, broken chairs and umbrella stands, and the staff were inexperienced. Food and drinks were sub par. Sad.

It was better than we expected. The location on the mountain was ideal. The view from the porch was breathtaking. We had everything we needed and more in the kitchen. The unit was clean and well appointed. I can’t wait to come back.

Great location

The condo is clean, well equipped with an excellent view! A couple min drive from the lake club (we were hoping to walk there but given the roads in the area and 2 small children decided driving was safer). Location near the club made dining out, swimming, boat rental and beach time very turn key which is exactly what we were hoping for! We plan to return this time next year!

Another Great Stay at Lakeside

This is our second year at Lakeside, and our third staying at Bear Lake Reserve—and we’ve already booked again for next year! We love Lakeside! It’s comfortable and perfect for a fun-filled week of swimming, boating, eating, and drinking! The view is amazing! The pool and lake are perfection. And, the restaraunts and bar are delicious and convenient! The menu changes from year to year, too—so it never gets old!

Beautiful place to unplug

The condo is perfectly situated next to the lake house, and is a lovely home, however the 4.7 mile drive through the mountains is not for the faint of heart. It is black bear country so we were leary to hike and since it was spring the bumble bees were everywhere which was a bit unsettling on the balcony. Despite the bears, bees and insane road - it was a lovely stay.
