Note: Rates are for 6 guests. Extra guests $20 per night each. Centrally located community of Serra Mesa, sometimes called 'Birdland' because all the streets are named after birds. It is a residential neighborhood just north of Mission Valley, 1/2 mile from the entrance to Interstate 163 that connects to other major freeways, and about a ten minute drive to most attractions, downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, the zoo, Sea World, Qualcomm Stadium, Petco Park, Old Town, Seaport village, and San Diego International airport (SAN). It is 20 minutes to the Tijuana border and 30 minutes to Lego land, the Wild Animal Park, and several casinos. This is great central location.

House has 4 bedrooms. Bedroom next to the Master bedroom doubles as a office with a quality futon if needed for sleeping and has a door to the back yard. Master bedroom and fourth bedrooms both have private baths. Main bath has a claw foot tub that came from Hotel San Diego.

Rates are for 6 guests. There is a nightly fee of $20 per extra guest per night.

Pool is a nice sized pool with 9 ft deep end, A safety fence and self closing gate. Pool is solar heated and 9 months of year requires no gas heat. To heat pool to 80 degrees Nov - Mar with gas there is a $75 per day fee

Parking is in carport and always plenty of street parking. Even if you have a boat or trailer there is street around corner that has plenty of room and neighbor has security camera watching that street.

Stay was very nice. Living space a bit smaller than expected but it worked. Kitchen fully stocked with all appliances & some essentials. My daughter even baked a wedding cake using supplied kitchen items (minus the cake pans she brought with). House was very comfortable. Pool & hot tub were great. Weather was crummy but the younger guys were still able to get use out of them. You do have the option to pay to use the heater for the pool but we did not. Main bath shower did not work but I communicated with owner & he got right back with me. Neighborhood was quiet. Overall great stay & I would return.

Very nice house! Perfect for our big family for us to stay and attend our son’s graduation from Marine boot camp. Quick easy 18 minute drive to MCRD!!! The pool was great and hot tub was awesome!

We used for central location for our family wedding we didn't use the pool, but hot tub one night loved the beautiful plants and trees and outside area . Everyone was comfortable and owner was easy to get in touch with. Loved the large dining table that can seat 8 .

Had a wonderful stay in a central location in San Diego. It was a short 10-15 minute drive to get to different attractions.Our kids enjoyed the pool and we loved the hot tub!Clean place, lots of space, and owner was very easy to communicate with.

The host was very responsive and kind. This property met all our large family's needs. The double twin beds were great for our 3 grandchildren. The kitchen was so well stocked. The beds were very comfy. The house is well used and could use an update but for us we didn't worry about the kids not being kids. So many baby/toddler supplies and the pool toys were plentiful. The pool was a little cool for us so we did heat it for 4 of the 7 days and the outdoor temps ranged from 68 to 78 during the day and upper 50's most nights. The pool area is very large and we were grateful for the fenced area so our 20 month old could be outside and see but be safe. Loved the round table for our Thanksgiving feast! The van fit in the carport, yay! The location was excellent for getting to the main thorough fairs, stores and around town. We had City passes and they were great.We never heard or saw a same house neighbor.If you are meticulous or fancy, you probably wouldn't be content here. It checked all our boxes!

Perfect location

We were trying to escape the dreary gray cold of Vermont and this house was perfect for our needs. This house is located perfectly to visit the zoo, Petco Park, Balboa Park, Little Italy, Ocean Beach and a whale watching tour. The house itself is well equipped and decorated smartly. The three bathrooms met our needs and the pool and the hot tub were great for the end of the day.

This was our home before we moved 30 miles North of San Diego. We have refurbished house with tile throughout and added patio door to office/bedroom. Each room has cable and a TV and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house,.

What makes this property unique

Solar heated pool during swimming season and covered patio. The location is a prime advantage since your are about 10 minutes from most San Diego attractions but still in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is only one street in and out of area so there is no through traffic.
