Este lujoso alquiler de Villa Fairway Oaks de 2 dormitorios en la hermosa isla de Kiawah, Carolina del Sur, ha sido renovado y reformado. Hay una cocina totalmente equipada con gabinetes nuevos y encimeras de granito, comedor, 2 dormitorios, 2 baños completos y una gran sala de estar con vista a un exuberante bosque y una exótica laguna, tan característicos de la isla. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama King, baño privado actualizado, vestidor con caja fuerte para sus objetos de valor, TV LCD de 32 'con cable y DVD / VCR, y el segundo dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales, TV LCD con cable y baño completo. Todas las camas tienen colchones nuevos. La sala de estar cuenta con un sofá cama, escritorio para computadora, acceso a Internet Wifi seguro y gratuito, TV LCD de pantalla plana con cable, reproductor de DVD inteligente. Cozy and Close to pool/beach

We have stayed at this property twice and love the proximity to the West Beach Pool for our little ones and access to the larger pools at Night Heron as well. The closest beach access has a parking lot which is unique for the island so you can load up gear and drive over easily.

Great location

Lovely stay overall. Nice space with a very nice covered outdoor sitting area overlooking the lagoon. The little alligators were fun to watch. Easy access to KI resort amenities and Freshfields shopping area.

Enjoyable Kiawah Stay

Great weeks stay at Kiawah. Location was very good for beach and park activities via bikes. We liked the first floor unit overlooking the lagoon. Very clean and comfortable. Access to Kiawah facilities and the 15% discount is a plus.

Does the Trick

Great location- 5 min walk to pool, 10 min to beach. Wonderful to have access to resort pools. The condo itself is a bit dated but comfy enough. It could probably use an entire makeover but if you need resort access and want close to beach and pool can’t be beat. The best part of the condo is the back porch which has a beautiful view of the lagoon.

Kiawah Island Villa

My only complaint is that VRBO never sent check in instructions. I had to reach out to the owner and he promptly responded which was great. The villa is clean and comfortable but it is a bit “ tired” and could use some updating. All in all, we had a nice time and enjoyed our short vacation on Kiawah.

Great price! Beautiful resort! Unit itself could use a paint job/updating.

The Kiawah Island resort is gorgeous. This unit is on the west end, which I believe is the oldest. So it’s a bit tired. Definitely needs a paint job and updating of decor. Nothing matches in the kitchen as far as plates, glasses and so one. None of these things are deal breakers though. The price is fantastic for being one that resort and having access to the amenities and world class golf.

Good location, pretty good condo

The condo’s proximity to the pool and beach was great. The owner is very responsive with questions and helpful. Kiawah Island manages the condo. The condo overall was pretty clean though the entryway and hallway walls are pretty scuffed up and don’t make a good first impression. The kitchen is stocked with some pots/pans, enough, but not many extras, no extra dish towels. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, beds comfortable. Some blinds were broken. The furniture has been updated since photos and is comfortable.

West Beach Village

Communication with the owner was excellent. The condo itself is old and in need of painting. The walls and doors were dirty. I opened a drawer in the bathroom and the handle fell off. The washer made a noise when spinning and the dryer made a very loud banging noise the whole time it was running. We had a repairman come but he didn’t have the part so we couldn’t do any laundry. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses and cookware. We wouldn’t stay here again partially because we prefer East Beach.

The Resort is responsible form the cleaning and maintenance of our villa. unfortunately the current lack of repair parts and staff shortages has made it difficult for the Resort to maintain its usual high level of excellence. Bad checkin communication caused needless stress

No way to contact host/ property mgr when we did not receive checkin information night before arrival. Had to enlist help from VRBO and they did not have phone number or working email address for host. If the resort was at fault, we should have been notified ahead of time to deal with the resort directly. Added stress that was totally unnecessary.

Nice location. Great setting. But …

We enjoyed staying in this unit, but were not fully satisfied. It was obvious that the kitchen and baths were updated, but the unit was not well maintained. There were stains on the walls of the main bathroom, the kitchen faucet was totally loose in the countertop, the carpet looked worn, the wall outlets were old and loose so that phone chargers would not stay plugged in. The kitchen was not well equipped. Most of the pots and pans were old and in poor condition, for example old Teflon pots with the coating peeling. Almost every plate, glass, pot and pan we used had to be washed first because they were dirty/greasy. Unlike most other rentals, there were no basic kitchen essentials such as salt/pepper, aluminum foil etc. There was only one dish towel. The unit had no games or books. A little TLC and restocking the kitchen would have made it a winner. It just isn’t there yet.

Condo

We were disappointed in the property for these reasons: 1) the fan/light above the dining table did not work. The maintenance person said there was no electricity delivered to the socket. (inconvenient in that is were we dined and played cards at night) 2} There is a rodent somewhere that came out at night and left droppings on the dining side of the counter and tore open a package of coffee We have pics if you need to see them 3} there are several wall sockets that are not functional. the plugs just fall out of them. 4} There was only one dishcloth and one dishrag in the kitchen. We are veteran travelers and these items were not acceptable, especially at Kaiwah Island and the price we paid. We have never given a review like this and really don't like to do so but feel it is necessary for future travelers not to have our experience. We had a wonderful time at the pool and beach and enjoyed the company of friends despite these issues.

We are sorry you were so disappointed. The Resort is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the villa and have assured us that these points are corrected. The Resort has now rented our villa directly to Resort guests . The unusually high demand for accommodations at the Resort has strained their resources but we are confident that the conditions have improved.

Not clean or maintained

Although the owners did respond to my concerns, and did refund me some money, it was not a place I would stay again. We have been coming to Kiawah for over 15 years. This is the first villa property we have stayed at. By this I mean it is owned by the couple, but maintained by Kiawah resort. In my view the owners are responsible for looking in on the property to make sure that it is being maintained to the standard that they are renting it at. There were light fixtures that did not work, plugs and switches installed upside down, exposed sharp screws in the “kids” bathroom. Only the master bedroom’s bathroom has been updated. The other had peeling paint, marks on the walls, handles missing. When we arrived we found the floor to be sticky and crumbs, even a pacifier under the sofas, which were essentially outdoor furniture and uncomfortable for any movie watching. I left a list with Kiawah resort, so hopefully all these things will be remedied before the next people arrive. But the owners definitely need to inspect it. We were allowed full resort privileges which is nice. The pool closest to the villa did shut down on the 8th, so that didn’t work out as planned. Kiawah is a wonderful place to be. The beach is beautiful, Charleston is nearby. And the wildlife is wonderful to see.

The Resort has tried to maintain its high standards despite severe labor shortages in the area. The Resort did a deep cleaning of our villa this week – and it looks great! The guest bathroom was completely renovated last year. Note that you must rent a Resort maintained villa to receive all Resort privileges.

Enjoyed our stay!

This is a great location and the villa was perfect for what we needed. Owner was easy to connect with and answered our q’s promptly. The unit could use a refresh of paint and decor but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us. We checked in at night and it was easy to find the main 24hour registration office. The front desk shows you where to go on the map but the villas are clustered together and look identical so it’s not totally clear when you’re not familiar with the units. The owner has a light up villa number which was helpful once we got to the correct set of villas. Would highly recommend renting a bikes. We rented two through the resort for $96 total. They will deliver and pick up the bikes from the villa or you can go directly to the bike rental place on the resort. The beach is a 3-5 minute pedal using the trails and bridges. Super convenient. Our visit was mid-Oct and they closed the pool near the villa for the season. The other pool and the fitness center is a long bike ride or you’ll need to drive. It was not clear if the other pool was open, it’s called Night Herron and one staffer told us it closed after Columbia Day and another said it was open. We did not verify as it wasn’t a priority for us. We have a jr golfer and the green fees on the island are high. We played Charleston Muni off the island, great course and juniors play free with an adult. Make tee time one week prior. We enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming again.

We live in downtown Charleston only about a 35 minute drive to our Kiawah villa. We have the best of both worlds - Kiawah with its championship golf and tennis, beautiful beaches and pools and frequent social events - and Charleston with its art and music, sporting events, fine restaurants and shopping.
