About Natalie Shiras
I am a retired pastor of Church on the Hill (United Church of Christ) in Lenox, MA and I have two grown children. My grandfather bought this property in 1957 and my parents built this home in 1996 for their retirement. I inherited the property in 2010.
Why Natalie Shiras chose Orr's Island
This is a spectacular property on a quiet island. The home is winterized for a great vacation all year long. There are pathways and 13 acres (total) of wooded and shoreline property, board games, HD TV, stereo, and DVD player. The side yard has an enclosed dog-run. First floor includes a large kitchen and dining room; large living room; wood stove; entertainment room/office; a large porch with ocean views, a mudroom, and an enclosed porch. Full bath on first floor with shower. There is a large shed with wood storage and an outdoor shower. Second floor includes master bedroom with queen (oceanview); bedroom with full-sized bed (oceanview); bedroom with twin bed (oceanview); and a bedroom with twin bed (and a trundle bed underneath that slides out) with wooded view; and a full bathroom. The sleeping loft on the third floor has two twin beds and space for two mattresses (wooded and ocean views).
What makes this House unique
The ocean, fresh seafood, fresh lobster, beautiful sunrise views of the water. Home includes all kitchen and cooking utensils, including lobster picks, pot, plates, and aprons for eating lobster. The house is a carpenter's dream. All wood interior in the style of a New England craftsman cottage, with all modern conveniences. The property is spectacular, especially the one acre shore property. It is rocky, but yields to a small pebbly beach at low tide. 180 degree views of the open ocean from the shore. Shore access is a private path on our property, which is very close to the ocean. You can hear the ocean with the windows open from every room in the house.

We just spent 2 nights at this fantastic property!
The property owner, "Natalie" was really nice to work with.
If you are looking for a peaceful place with a beautiful view, you will not be disappointed! I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Beautiful house on the coast. We loved being able to have our dogs with us. We had five kids ages five and under. Perfect distance from the water to have a safe and enjoyable time throwing rocks and exploring the tidal pools. The deck was a favorite spot, and the open living room and dining room made for great family time. The house was perfectly clean, ping pong table was an added treat reinvigorating old sibling rivalries. The island was lovely, we enjoyed hiking, biking, the candy store, and several beaches close by. Thank you for sharing your home.
We loved our stay! Very cozy in a lovely setting. Very clean with all amenities. Plenty of towels and extra bedding. Hope to go again!
