This is our second stay and im already planning a third. Wife and I will come here every year if we can.Perfectly secluded, quiet and beautiful. Host was great, handled any small thing quickly. One night AC went out and a guy was there to fix it early next morning. It was great. Love Fall Creek.
Our stay was amazing. Exactly what we needed. Rest, relaxation & enjoying peace, quiet & the sound of nature. Everything was clean. Communication was great. The hiking was great as well. We will definitely be back. Maybe with our dogs next time. Very dog friendly environment.
We had a great stay at this cabin. The property is absolutely beautiful. It is secluded & very peaceful! The only things I would say is almost all of the headrests on the hot tub were missing and the one that was there was hanging off & broke & the box out by the river with the cushions in it for the patio furniture that is out by the river had ants & ant piles all in it. I did inform the property owner so I'm sure they will take care of that. We still enjoyed the hot tub very much & it was all ready to go for us when we got there but would have been nice to have the headrests. Overall, this was a very nice play to stay. Would def recommend it! It's about 25 miles from Boone NC too so very convenient location!
This property is absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a place to absolutely kick back and relax in peace, this is exactly what you’re looking for. The cabin was perfect and well equipped. The bed was comfortable & The creek was definitely an added bonus. We enjoyed feeding the trout. We hiked the property with no issues. This location is remote with spotty WiFi as described but, there are areas you can get service outside of the home.
Beautiful property and peaceful setting! My family and I enjoyed a nice quiet Thanksgiving week here and I will definitely rebook this cabin in the future and I highly recommend for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

Thanks Amanda! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay.
Absolutely loved our stay at this secluded mountain cabin. We booked this for a weekend because we were attending a wedding at Sky Retreat. The cabin was perfect. It had all the amenities we were looking for and then some. It was very close to the wedding venue and we were able to enjoy attending a destination wedding with a day of lounging cabin side. It was perfect for my mid-size pup. He loved the open acreage surrounding the cabin. We played frisbee for almost an hour by the creek. We loved our stay so much that we are planning to return in the fall!
This is such a beautiful property! We will definitely book again if we get a chance. The cabin has almost everything you need (literally). Just remember to check the ice maker when you arrive to be sure it is turned on. Unfortunately, we had already went to the grocery store when we found out there was no ice. No big deal since we were only staying for the weekend.
The cabin is perfect for 2 people. Sits on secluded lot with mountain stream in the front. Very clean. Everything needed for indoor and outdoor fun and relaxation.
The cabin was beautiful and well kept. The communication was absolutely superb and I will 100% be booking with them again. We enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to do it again.
I absolutely loved staying here, one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed at and the yard was perfect for my dogs. I wish I was able to stay longer!
I’ll be back for sure.
The property was absolutely beautiful! The description is spot on and the pictures do not do it justice. Any and everything you need is inside, the fire pit was awesome as was the hot tub!

Beautiful Cabin with Everything You Need!
Our family had an amazing stay at Shady Creek!! Cabin was well stocked with everything you need. We loved the privacy and space for our daughter and dog to run around. They especially loved the creek! Plus, the cabin itself was beautiful and extremely clean with comfortable beds, which is key!! We will definitely stay again!
Easy checkin and communication. Beautiful property with small waterfall. Saw momma deer and fawn, turkey and fed the trout in the pond. We loved this and would definitely go back.

Another great stay at Shady Creek!
This was our second year staying at Shady Creek and we were not disappointed! We had another relaxing and peaceful visit to the cabin. Our daughter and dog loved playing in the creek and exploring the property. Plus the new gazebo is a wonderful addition! We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and listening to the creek.
I am one of the owners and manager Paul. This is a family property where we grew up coming up and enjoying the mountain scenery. We enjoy sharing the property, a slice of heaven, with our guests.
Why they chose this property
Guests like our property for privacy, open fields, forests and beautiful creek. You can relax on the screened porch, gazebo, patio or watch the trout feedings (seasonal). At night you can see the incredible sky view by the firepit. All of this only seven minutes off the highway and 22 minutes from Boone/Blowing Rock. If you have a dog, they will be in heaven with a natural barrier to keep them near the cabin.
For your entertainment, we have a cornhole set, inside game room and a place to fish for trout. The entire cabin was completely renovated in 2021, so everything is new. This is an actual log cabin with tile, glass bath and granite. New appliances in the kitchen and granite as well.
What makes this property unique
Very private, 300 yard driveway which allows you see an occasional car pass by but no other homes in site. You'll enjoy the babbling creek and be lulled into a relaxing nap.
