Your relaxing beach vacation begins the moment you walk in the door of this incredible bay front home! This property sits right on Mission Bay Boardwalk, overlooking the sandy beaches and sailboats docked in the water. Walk one block to the ocean and enjoy some waves and our classic San Diego sunsets!
Amenities include central A/C, bikes, fireplace, 2 parking spaces!

Thoughtfully designed rooms make this property the perfect home away from home. Enter the living and dining areas directly from the patio, steps from the sand. The kitchen is fully stocked for meal preparation, dining and entertaining. If “al fresco” dining is more your speed, head out to the patio for and grill out on the outdoor gas BBQ!

The spacious living room is equipped with a smart TV and cable and features a gas fireplace, perfect for staying cozy during winter stays! Doors and windows open right up to the patio and Mission Bay and the boardwalk, perfect people watching!

You’ll find both guest-rooms and the guest bath with a standing shower on the first floor as well. The first guest room has a queen bed. The second guest room also has a queen bed.

The master bedroom suite occupies the entire second floor. With a king-size bed and wall to wall windows overlooking the bay, you will never want to leave! The master bath has a separate standing shower and soaking tub as well. You will love how big this space is, great for parents with little ones to be together. There are two XL Twin folding cots for kids or more guests. There is also a private balcony perfect for watching the magnificent sunrises over the bay.

Some extra features of this unit that will make for an awesome vacation are the dual pane windows that will make it quiet and cozy for your vacation nights and the rare beach feature of A/C will keep you cool while you sleep the night away.

The garage has a washer and dryer, bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, and even beach toys!

If you have a car, you will appreciate the convenience of the extra parking space that can accommodate larger vehicles. This feature is especially desirable in a neighborhood like Mission Beach, where parking for large vehicles can sometimes be a challenge.

Guests have access to the entire home.

We don't come on property unless you need us...and we are always here when you need us!

Mission Beach is a laid-back neighborhood whose 2 miles of sandy shores attract surfers, sunbathers and volleyball players. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the paved walking and biking paths that curl around Mission Bay, a popular spot for water sports and family beach days. Casual cafes and eateries line Mission Boulevard, the single road that runs between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Nearby Belmont Park has tons of dining and entertainment options for all ages in addition to the world-famous Mission Beach boardwalk and Giant Dipper Roller Coaster! Just blocks away from the ocean and bay, you’ll experience the best of the beach!

Be sure to check out all San Diego has to offer! You will find yourself centrally located in America’s Finest City with convenient access to the county's most excellent attractions including the world famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, Seaport Village and Harbor, prestigious La Jolla, historic Gaslamp Quarter and much more. There are endless opportunities for fun and entertainment!

Walking or renting bikes is key in getting around the community...but ubers/lyfts are plentiful!

Good Neighbor Policy: This home is surrounded by OWNER OCCUPIED homes. While we understand the Primary Renter and guests are on vacation, the home owners are not. Therefore, we respectfully request Primary Renter and Guests display behavior that is becoming of a typical neighborhood environment. Home owners across San Diego are banning together to eliminate the rentals of private homes as vacation homes. Please help us preserve our right to rent by being respectful neighbors.

NOISE/NO PARTIES: Quiet hours are strictly enforced, 10 pm – 8 am per city ordinance. This property has ZERO TOLERANCE for noise, parties or loud music which includes any excessive daytime noise, cursing, yelling or screaming. Fines will be applied for complaints. Drinking games of any kind ie: beer die, pong, funnels etc. and music that is audible past the property line are strictly prohibited. Immediate eviction can result if these rules are broken.

San Diego Municipal Code 59.5.0502 states that at all times; any amplified sound that can be heard 50 feet away from the rented residence is prohibited. Between 10 PM and 8 AM, even normal conversation must be moved inside the rented residence. Per SDMC 51.1004 and California Penal Code 415.2 noise violations can result in fines (Up to $1,000) for property owners and Renters if there are repeated calls for noise violations to one address. Renters will be liable for any and ALL noise violation fines charged to the property owner. Excessive Noise disruptions can result in immediate eviction without the right to a refund of rental fees or security deposits.

Drugs/ Alcohol: Use of illegal/illicit drugs by any Renter, Guest, Occupant or Visitor in or on the grounds is strictly prohibited. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by a minor under 21 years of age is strictly prohibited.

No Smoking of ANY kind: This is a non-smoking property, both in and on the property. A fee of $1,000.00 will be charged for violation of this rule, plus any costs incurred to remove smoke odor or damage. Smoking includes but is not limited to: cigarette, cigar, marajuana, cocaine, incense, or vaping. While Marajuana is legal in the state of California it is NOT allowed on this property.

Properties are subject to exterior patrol by our staff and homeowner. If Renters are causing a nuisance, having a party, acting detrimentally toward the property, breaking the noise curfew or any stated rules and regulations we reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement, without refund, and immediately remove Renters and guests from the property. Absolutely no disturbances are allowed within this home or anywhere on the property premises. We also reserve the right to refuse occupancy if a house party is suspected.

Our neighbors are very, very sensitive to vacation rentals as it affects their right to live in a peaceful environment therefore we will enforce these policies in exchange for the privilege of renting this home as a vacation rental. The City of San Diego has adopted stricter guidelines for vacation properties and bad operators will not be allowed to rent their homes. If the actions of the Renter and their guests are detrimental to our right to rent as a vacation rental we reserve the right to evict and retain any rental fees and/or security deposits and will report abuse to the rental platforms and will take legal action against Renter if their behavior results in loss of permits.

Guest Occupancy:
Occupancy: The maximum occupancy for this Rental Agreement shall not exceed the number stated on the reservation. Only primary Renter and guests accounted for on the reservation are allowed to be on the property.

Age Restrictions: Primary Renter must be 25 years or older. Guests must be 25 years or older. Parents and children excluded.

No Subletting: If Renter can not keep the reservation please alert us as soon as possible so we can assist in re-renting the unit. If the unit is not re-rented and at the rate of the current reservation Renter will not be refunded their rental fees.

Damages: Renter will leave property in good order.
Damage Fee does not cover excessive cleaning; including but not limited to overflowing trash, carpet or upholstery steam cleaning, Linen Damage (Sheets, Blankets and Comforters damaged from, but not limited to, tearing, food, blood or other bodily fluids and will incur full replacement value charges) or damage due to pets, parties or excessive guests in the unit.

If excessive cleaning is needed, Renter will be charged $100/hour, or actual charges, whichever is greater.If area carpets are excessively dirty after check out Renter will be charged a $300 fee for carpet cleaning or full replacement value PLUS any loss in rental income at $500/night.

NO DAILY MAID SERVICE: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. The cleaning fee referenced above shall be applied to the cleaning service after check out. If daily maid service is desired it can be arranged for an additional daily fee.

Missing or damaged items will be charged at full replacement cost.

Kitchen: Cooking at high temperatures can result in strong smells that permeates throughout the home and into the fabrics of the home. Excessive odors can come from, but not limited to, popcorn, fish, certain spices etc. Please open windows, use kitchen fans, and be mindful that this is a shared living space. Should a strong odor be detected upon check out, an air purifying fee will be applied.

Check in / Check out:
Per the contract check in time is 4:00 PM and check out is at 10:00 AM. Check in and check out times are strictly enforced, please do not enter the property early without permission. Disruption to the contracted cleaning company’s allotted service time will incur a fee.
If available, early check-in/late check-out fee is $250.
Upon Vacating, Renters and guests will follow the provided Check-out Procedure.

Amazing property and location. Loved everything about this house - well stocked, very nicely decorated and extremely clean. It was perfect for our family of 8, we had a wonderful stay. The host is also very responsive - the Keurig machine was broken and they replaced it right away, no questions asked. This was a really nice gesture. There were plenty of beach towels, bikes, etc for our use that made the stay that much more fun and stress free. Also, super close to an amazing breakfast place - The Funky Lemon - which we enjoyed several mornings of our stay. Highly recommend the place for a lovely stay in Mission Bay.

Vacay on the Bay

I can’t say enough about this property. It is beautiful, beachy, clean and walkable to coffee, restaurants, etc. We enjoyed the incredible views, meeting people walking by, breakfast on the patio and fire pit in the evenings. The host is very responsive and made check-in, check-out and the overall stay very easy. Highly recommend!

Wow! This is the perfect location and the perfect house! Vanessa was thorough with all communication and super responsive with any questions we had. The beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. The house had a great outdoor space with high quality furniture. The garage had chairs, bikes, sand toys, washer and dryer, and anything else you might need. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need. TV was easy to log into and couches were clean and comfy. This is a well taken care of and well decorated home. It definitely felt more like home than any other place we have been to. You step out of the patio directly onto the beach. You can’t get much better than that. Our family spent most of our time outside flying our kite, sitting around the fire pit and collecting shells. Definitely rebooking.

This property was simply amazing! It was truly a home away from home with the vacation vibe. My family absolutely loved this beach house. We enjoyed the large patio for meals and and the fireworks from Seaworld every evening. Looking forward to staying again, thank you Cindy!

Great place that is in a great location, close to the beach, restaurants, coffee places and right on the bay. House is very clean, comfortable and is well stocked for you to have a great vacation. Really appreciate the bikes that were used each day, as well. Thank you!

Perfect quiet vacation

Waking up to the sunrise over the bay was perfect. We could watch sailboats and windsurfers gliding across the water and small flocks of shorebirds running along the beach at the waterline. And in the evening, a two-minute walk took us to the ocean where we could watch the sunset. Everything during our stay was wonderful.

Our home is located right on the water. You can paddle board, rent a motor boat, sailboat, watch the sunrise, ride bikes, skates, or skateboard on the boardwalk. You can hop on a fishing charter for the day or go whale watching, or reserve a surfing lesson! Belmont Park is walking distance with the giant dipper roller coaster, laser tag, mini golf, sky-ropes, and the Plunge pool swimming pool.
We have so many restaurants, coffee shops and bars close by. We are located very close SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo. you cannot run out of activities for yourself or your family.
I personally love hanging out of the patio with a drink, some appetizers and people watching. We also have cornhole to play out on the sand and some other beach toys. Whatever you decide you will have an amazing time.

This property is unique to its location on the water in Mission Bay. It was actually built in 1950 and has been restored and remodeled by our family over the last 3 generations. We love to see everyone enjoy it as much as we have over the years.
