I live in Philadelphia and I am a competitive dragon boat racer and outrigger canoe paddler.
Tiki is a dream come true! It's truly the most relaxing place in the world and I can drop my boat in right in at our little beach and enjoy the sunsets.
Private beach and put in right into Lemon Bay
This was a cute place to stay. It's really close to historic Englewood and the beach. Water views were lovely. Comfortable bed. Weird little bathroom. It was very clean, but not the one pictured in the ad.
This little GEM situated on Lemon Bay offers a relaxing break from everyday life.
The minute you walk through the front door this beautiful cottage feels like home.
Comfortable, clean, everything you need.
So many cool things to experience so close by.
We've fallen in love with Englewood and Tiki #7.
We enjoyed wandering Stump pass beach daily hunting for treasures.
great shells, rocks and shark teeth!
We saw the most gorgeous sunsets i have ever seen from our deck.
Jumping fish and Dolphins too.
So calm, and relaxing.
Don't miss a trip to one of the local state parks.
We had an amazing trip. We didn't want to leave.
Cannot wait to visit again.
Thank you MEEGAN for sharing this charming bungalow
We loved our stay at Tiki on the Bay! The house was the right size for the two of us, plenty of room to spread out, and the porch area provided a great reading room for evenings. What was really special about Meegan's place was it was decorated, and felt like a home, nothing sterile or utilitarian.
The kitchen had everything you need for an extended stay.
The truly best part of the visit to Tiki on the Bay was the close proximity to Lemon Bay. We would sit on our deck in the morning and the bay was right there. We spent a lot of time at the Tiki Bar and on the pier, enjoying the water, hoping to see a Manatee, and just relaxing. The pool and grounds were exceptionally well maintained.
Tiki on the Bay is close to everything, downtown, Stump Pass Beach Park, Boca Grande, but yet, when you turn off the main road, and then into the driveway, you feel as if you are a million miles from the hustle and bustle of the real world.
We loved our visit, it wasn't long enough of course, but look forward to another visit to Meegan's little slice of heaven.
Great place. Nice and cozy. The tiki was very clean. It had a great view of Lemon Bay. We stayed four nights, we wish we could of stay longer. Very relaxing. Short drive to Stump Pass Beach. The tiki deserves a second visit, guarantee.
Everything one could need for a stay was provided for. The cottage as cozy and charming with an "Old Florida" feeling we so enjoy. Location on Lemon Bay was relaxing and scenic.
We arrived at 1PM on a very hot day. The cottage was even hotter when we entered. We turned on the AC and after a few hours we were still stifling so we had to go to Walmart just to cool off. The cottage finally cooled down about 12 hours later. Perhaps the owner could turn on the AC in advance of guests arrival on hot days.
We arrived very late on a Friday evening. Initially the place smelled damp and moldy. After turning on the dehumidifier and AC as the directions indicated it got much better. We unpacked and went straight to bed. The next day was jam packed with Fishing charters and visits with friends. We got back and went to take showers. We noticed the water was not hot at all, tepid at best. The next morning, we were off again, Beach, Charter fishing etc. We arrived back after 9pm and again, tepid showers. We mentioned it to the person who lives at the resort full time. We were thinking maybe the temperature maybe needed to be raised a bit on the water heater. She went behind the unit, pulled off a cover and found that the water heater was leaking out the top. That would explain the low water pressure and the temp only being tepid. She indicated she would be calling the owner to let her know. We also followed up with Meegan as well to let her know there was a problem. Well, that was about the time Tropical Storm Colin was getting ready to hit. So understandably, no way anyone was coming to fix it that day. She did let us know the repair person was called and was scheduled to come out the following day as long as it was possible after the storm. They did come out on Tuesday afternoon and fix the water heater. It was the best anyone could do, but 4 days with no hot water was a bit of an inconvenience. We understand things happen, but when you are paying for a vacation it is disappointing. That being said, the place was comfortable in terms of size for 2 people. The resort was cute. It had the supplies needed to cook and enjoy the Florida experience.
