Perfect location. Pet friendly (30 lb limit) with plenty of space to exercise your pets. Beach and ocean view. Beautiful pool setting and some large oak trees if you wanted out of the direct sunlight. It's a very comfortable lay-out.

Very Nice. Would stay here again.

  • 4 of 5

Nice comfortable, clean property. It would be helpful to tell visitors to look for building #39 as that confused us when looking for the unit. Access to the Hilton amenities was excellent. The beach was excellent, the covered parking was excellent! The unit was well stocked with everything we needed. There is a nice dog walk area with doodie bags and trash in a convenient spot. We would rent here again. Only draw back was there really wasn't an ocean view unless you leaned over the balcony, but that was okay. : )

Construction Chaos

  • 2 of 5

When we arrived to the property we discovered major construction underway right there at the condo, with no prior notice at time of booking. After unloading our bags we found out the power was out, which meant the elevator wasn't working and the condo was hot. The pool was no where near the condo and pretty much too inconvenient to even go to. The access to the beach was also very inconvenient. There was no sleeping after 7am due to the construction crew starting work. This lasted all day, every day, from sun up to sun down and was very loud. Parking was an also an issue and most of the time we had to park across the street with no security lights in the parking lot. We tried emailing and calling the owner but never received a reply. On a positive note... the condo was very clean and nicely decorated. It also had a nice view. The beach was great and the water was beautiful. If it weren't for all the inconveniences of the construction it would probably be a nice place to stay. Unfortunately, due to the lack of response by the owner, we will not rent from them again.

Happy with the stay

  • 4 of 5

The only issue I have while staying at the condo was parking. The space was limited due to the construction. We had to Uber our way around the town since we did not want to lose our space. The condo was cleaned and exactly like the picture shown on the site. We will definitely be back and rent another round of bicycles as the town has lots of riding trails.

Nice place, but beware of construction zone

  • 3 of 5

This is a very nice condo, and very well equipped & nice layout for family of 4 & our doggy....small, so might be a tight squeeze for an entire week's stay, but just right for a long weekend as we did. However, any potential guests in the near future should be advised of the construction project going on directly (& I mean directly as in 10 ft away) from this building. An entirely new condo is being built beside this building in what used to be a beautiful green space & pool. There is pool access, but not at all convenient- you have to either enter from the beach one building down the beach, or from the street, exit the property & go to the next building & find the pool. Beach access is a little tricky too - there is a make shift path to the beach, in between a construction fence & tarped wall, & we saw several (non poisonous, according to my hubby) snakes on the path that appeared to be confused about how to get out of the if you are leery of that beware! I think this will be a beautiful set up once the construction is 100 percent complete, but until then, I'll be staying somewhere else. I'll give 3 stars now & I'm sure 4 once things are back to normal.

Great property--would have been perfect if not for the construction!

  • 4 of 5

This property is in a wonderful location--about a quarter mile south of Coligny--close to the ocean & almost everything about it was exactly as listed on the website! The unit was clean & in great condition, & the property manager was extremely communicative & responsive to our texts.

The biggest issue with this property is that there is a TON of construction going on right outside and definitely noteworthy! I had read about the construction prior to booking our stay, but didn't think much of it. The construction started at 7a EVERY MORNING (weekdays) & was VERY loud. The workers were all over the place--including in the small parking area, so we didn't always have an easy time finding a parking space. The pool available to us was at the Ocean Dunes resort next door, which you either had to enter from the next beach access south or cross the street and cross back--there are not sidewalks on the side of the road that the property is on and the construction makes it nearly impossible to walk next door without crossing. Again, all of this was disclosed before hand, but between the noise & the little inconveniences that all added up, it was enough that at the end of our stay we wished we had chosen one of the other places we had looked at. This is all really out of the control of the owner & I hate to even make it an issue, but it really was frustrating!

The only other thing that my family noted was that the location to hose off our feet after having been on the beach wasn't ideal as we had to walk through more sand after hosing off; this could have been another temporary issue given the construction.

Once the construction is complete, this property will be just about perfect! The unit we had was pretty small, but not really an issue for our family of 4 . The queen bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable as were the bunk beds for our kids. I took some K-cups as I had read there was a Keurig, but there wasn't one--just a regular coffee pot with filters so I had to buy some coffee grounds. There are several grocery stores near that were surprisingly reasonably priced, so picking up groceries wasn't an issue!

If going to the Salty Dog Cafe, know that you have to pay to get into Sea Pines ($6) & aren't permitted to ride your bike there. I hadn't done my homework so that was a surprise. We rented bikes through Gracie's and LOVED them!

In summary, we would definitely stay here again--but only after the construction is complete!!
