1Br/1Ba Sleeps 5 Cabin with Lake Lure Access, Close to Asheville and Tryon TEC
If you are looking for a quiet mountain getaway, yet close to many outdoor activities, your search has finally ended here! Falling Waters Cabin is located in a very serene setting, with its own natural private amenities. As you are driving in from the west, you will be coming around the beautiful man-made lake, with all of its history in the making. As you wind your way around the lake you will be viewing some of the most beautiful mountains around! There are several lakefront restaurants, and as you come into the town, there is a public beach area and marina, which provide wonderful boat tours of the lake and water craft rentals. There are public tennis courts, basketball courts, picnic pavilions and a visitor center that will give very helpful information on your specific interests. Just several yards ahead, is the town of Chimney Rock, where you can shop the many stores, eat at several local restaurants, and eat an ice cream cone while strolling the river walk or wading in the rushing waters. The biggest attraction of Chimney Rock is Chimney Rock State Park, where you can take an elevator 2,280 feet in the sky to the rock that is formed in the shape of a chimney. From this elevation, you have a full 360 degree view that will take your breath away. There are several hiking trails from the rock that are a must see.
Falling Waters is just adjacent of the town and as you make the short drive to your piece of heaven, you will pass another state park where you can hike many trails, some leading to natural caves. As you enter through the gate to your cabin, you will find deer, turkey, and lots of other wildlife roaming the area. There is a beautiful creek flowing through the property and more beautiful mountain views from your screened in bug free porch! As you unload and unwind, you can get out and walk a short gravel trail to the lake, passing a beautiful zen-like waterfall on your way. You may choose to read a book, or just sit and marvel at the sounds. You can sit at the top or bottom of the falls and just enjoy a very private space. A few more feet and you've made it to the lake, where there are covered picnic pavilions, lounge chairs, and the most beautiful waters around! Take a dip or swim out to the floating dock to take in some larger views of the mountains.

This little place was a perfect getaway for a weekend. I traveled there for New Year's Eve and had a lovely weekend in Lake Lure. It was so cold but it was just so pretty. Great view of Rumbling Bald and very close to both Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The cabin was nicely decorated with a cute kitchen. It was perfect! Enjoyed it so much. I'd book again!!

This was a wonderful Christmas getaway. The cabin is the cleanest I've rented and the updates are great. We couldn't do a lot of outdoor activities because of the cold snap but enjoyed visiting the surrounding towns. Hope to get back soon - if not before, then maybe again for the 2018 Christmas season.
We loved it, it was perfect. Wish it had a nice bath tub though!
Me and 3 Friends went and celebrated my 5 year cancer free weekend. We love the cabin, we love the area! And we plan to make it a yearly tradition as long as Megan keeps renting. So much fun!
I saw a big ass mountain from the porch. Which was awesome. And plenty around to get into.
Trails and swimming and waterfall and even bigger waterfall at the chimney rock state park and lakeside stuff and I'm really dumbing down my description but i wanted a simple vacation and i got it there.
This is our 3rd time at the cabin. We absolutely love it. The McFalls keep everything in perfect shape and have done some beautiful upgrades as well.
Very cute cabin. Just enough for our little family of four.
Overall a great place to stay for the money. Just enough of what is needed to have summer fun. Community neighbors were very welcoming and having a quiet beach, fishing and swimming area in the cove was awesome for the kids. The only issue we had is the bedroom was a little warm and the bed was lifted really high. I am 5 '2 and recently tore my calf muscle so my husband had to pull me onto the bed. Nothing that would make me not stay again though.
