Three Bears Cabin (2.5Bed/1B): Dog Friendly, Hot Tub, Curbside pick-up to Alpine
Three Bears Cabin is a quintessential storybook Tahoe cabin designed and built by famed Tahoe architect Burt Anderson (it is rumored that he even lived in this house at one point).
This cozy cabin is perfect for 1 or 2 couples (4 adult maximum) or a family of up to 5 for your summer or winter vacation on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. It is located 3 miles south of Tahoe City in the quiet neighborhood of Pineland, on a well-maintained road that is mostly traveled by local residents (no through traffic).
You'll enjoy a fully-equipped cabin with plenty of off- street parking, a large southeast facing wrap-around deck with outdoor dining and BBQ areas and a 6 person hot tub. Inside you'll find a mud room with ski racks and boot & glove dryers, full size washer and dryer, mountain decor and architecture, 39' high definition flat screen TV with cable, TiVo DVR, Blueray DVD player are all available to make your stay feel like home. There is a second flat screen TV, DVR, and DVD player in the loft, making it the perfect spot for the kids to settle in and watch a movie after a long day at the lake or on the slopes. Password protected 100MB wireless internet access is available for all your electronic devices. Central heating will keep you warm and cozy, and a freestanding gas stove in the living room adds extra warmth and ambiance. A large couch, loveseat, and recliner in living room is ideal for settling in to watch the game or a movie before bed. A fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, and all bedding is provided to make your stay simple and relaxing.
The house is located directly across the street from Ward Creek, and the lake itself is located less than 1 mile away. Popular summer activities include biking, fishing, boating, swimming, paddle boarding, kite boarding, kayaking, canoeing, sun bathing on the beach, jet skiing, etc.
Take a leisurely stroll to four great restaurants: Sunnyside Resort, Firesign, Shadyside, and Spoon. A ski/snowboard rental shop (West Shore Sports), and a mini-mart/deli/liquor store (West Shore Market) are all less than 1 mile away from the cabin.
A half-mile walk will take you to Kilner Park, where you can find beach volleyball, lighted tennis courts, swingsets, sandbox, jungle gym, and the biggest spiral slide in Tahoe! And just across Highway 89, you'll find the beach!
In winter, a shuttle bus conveniently departs from Sunnyside Resort every 30 minutes for pick-up and drop-off at the end of the driveway on its way up to Alpine Meadows' Sherwood lift, which is only 3 miles/5 minutes up the road. Imagine the convenience of not having to get in the car to get to Alpine with the ability to the tram over to Pali! Alternatively, family-friendly Homewood Ski Resort is only 3.5 miles away and world renowned Palisades Tahoe (formerly known as Squaw Valley) is just 12 minutes away. The bike path is also used for roller-blades, jogging, walking or access to the Truckee river bike path for fishing and rafting. For those looking for more of a challenge, try biking up to either Alpine Meadows or Squaw Valley ski resorts from the bike path along Hwy 89.
Tahoe City is a short 3 miles drive where you will find all the amenities expected in a small mountain town: lake-side fine dining, shopping, coffee shops, bars, grocery & drug stores, ethnic food restaurants, movie theater, yoga studios & day spas, fitness clubs, banks, golf courses, bike/ski/snowboard rentals, river rafting, fly fishing, boat rentals, etc.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. Cabin felt cozy and location was great. Quiet street where you are away from the crowd but a short drive to all the attractions and restaurants of Sunnyside and Tahoe City.
Stayed at the Three Bears Cabin for a family ski trip - the place was cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay: well-equipped kitchen, ski shoes dryer, washing & drying machine and hot tub!
Great location in close proximity to palisades and Tahoe city

Jake and his friends lost the keys to the house, left the house smelling smoky (against no smoking policy), and left the house (and particularly the kitchen) filthy. They did not follow the departure procedures, house policies, or rental contract obligations. I would not rent to this guest again.
Was an easy process to book. there were 4 of us and enough room for us all. A little tight in the kitchen but we made it work. Was clean. Beds were a little too soft for me but perhaps for others it is fine. Would I recommend it to others, Yes.
Three bears cabin was very comfortable, cozy, and clean. Great location for the activity my wife and I wanted to do. I recommend staying there very highly.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. It was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay - my 2 year old really enjoyed playing with the box of Lincoln Logs he found in the loft upstairs, and my husband and I enjoyed the hot tub. It’s a lovely property and we will definitely be renting this place again!
The house was very comfortable. The kitchen was clean and easy to use. The hot tub was enjoyable. The neighborhood was pleasant and quiet. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind and spend time together as a family.

What makes this property unique
There are four excellent dining choices about a mile of the house, all highly visible on Hwy 89, that are all right across the street from each other.
Sunnyside Resort offer high-end lakeside dining, Spoon offers family style dining, Firesign Cafe is a great breakfast and lunch spot, Shadyside serves Mexican Food with the best Margaritas in Tahoe, and West Shore Market and Deli where you can pick up fresh coffee drinks, ice cream, deli-style sandwiches, fresh made pizzas, and basics (i.e. milk, eggs, bread, beer, soda, ice cream, etc.).
There are other options about 3 miles to the south on Hwy 89 around Homewood and many, many more about 3 miles to the north in and around Tahoe City.
