About the property

Newly Renovated 2 Bedroom Ocean Front Condo--granite/tile Fully Upgraded!

Kauai Kailani is a long time family favorite. Originally a time share resort, it has been totally renovated and includes granite counter tops, Tile floors, new appliances, wash/dryer, all new furniture, fully furnished kitchen with everything you will need to cook gourmet meals. All linens are furnished for the king sized master, 2 twins in the second bedroom. Bath towels and beach towels also are furnished as well as beach chairs and toys. For the smallest in your group there is a pack n play and high chair. It is a legal Hawaiian rental unit (tax # TA-133-886-3616-01, GE-133-886-3616-01). Our on island manager is Sheila Phillips (phone number (808)639-2504). Sheila is your contact when you are in the unit. All booking etc. is done with the owner Patti Udin.

The most important feature of this Pacific Jewel is the view. Both bedrooms have ocean views with new windows facing the Sunrise in the East. The view from the deck is unsurpassed. All of your senses will be overwhelmed by the sight, smell, and the sound of the ocean.

The pool has been totally renovated and the lovely common area has been newly landscaped. This is no longer your Grandma's timeshare! It is a wonderful intimate resort!

Please note that I only request payment through the official VRBO/Homeaway network. Do not respond to obscure requests for cash as these are scams.

About Patti Udin

We have been visiting Kauai Kailani for nearly 30 years and were just thrilled to be able to final own the 'best' condo in the resort. We have our primary home in Colorado where we enjoy skiing at our condo at Copper Mountain. We also own a much larger unit at Waipouli Resort, but this is our true Kauai home.

Patti Udin purchased this condo in 2014

Why Patti Udin chose Coconut Coast

We chose this particular condo because it is the closest unit to the ocean. The breeze and sound of the ocean is unmatched!

What makes this condo unique

This is a small intimate resort where many families have spent their Summers for many years. You will feel that you are alone with the Pacific Ocean

STUNNING views!!

  • 5 of 5

This was the BEST location in the complex. Watched the sunrise from the lanai every morning. Never failed to impress! Closest to the water, the pool (although we didn't use it) just a few steps away. Kept the doors open as much as possible to hear the crash of the waves and feel the incredible ocean breeze. The unit was well stocked and clean. The BBQ grills were clean and well maintained. Security and maintenance did a great job. The location on the island was good. Centrally located, so every place you wanted to go was only a short journey. Safeway and Starbucks across the street. The dining portions were numerous. Because we took a long time adjusting to the time change and kept eating late lunches, we rarely had a formal dinner. We did try Lemongrass which was great. The servings were large so bring an appetite! We took a helicopter tour (sunshine helicopters) that was amazing! Others were highly recommended but over twice the price. We found a coupon on a travel book over at the Safeway. ($50 off per person) still paid nearly $400 for 2 ppl but you saw areas of the island you couldn't on your own. Also toured the National Tropical Botanical Gardens. The love for the island is evident from the tour guides. Luau Kalamaku was fantastic! At first it felt commercialized, but when they start the story after the meal it is really incredible. The food was ok but you really go for the show afterward. Wow!! We paid for upgraded seating but there were other tables closer and smaller that others were seated at after the dinner. Not sure how to get those seats. They weren't much better than ours other than an unobstructed view of the stage. Do not believe the seating chart on the website. That makes it seem small and intimate. It's is far from either. We sat at a table with 4 other couples and the venue probably sat 1,000 people. We didn't do the train ride but did visit the artitians fair before the dinner. Lydgate Beach park had a nice swimming area that wasn't overly crowded. I HIGHLY recommend bringing or purchasing water socks. (We found them at the ABC stores on the island $15). Most of the beaches have rocks or reef underwater. Best investment!! The weather was mid-80's during the day. While it sounds mild, you get hot. Start your adventures as early as you can each morning. The parking options will be better and you won't be as zapped by the heat.

First time on Kauai and Awesome vacation..

  • 5 of 5

This being our first time using vrbo/home away for vacation I was a little apprehensive but the owner was great with communications and detail instructions, this made me feel very comfortable. We loved the location and the view was awesome. The condo was very well equipped with everything we could need, the only thing my husband wasn't a fan of was no A/C as there was high humidity, not sure if it was because of the tropical storms bringing it in or time of year we went. We got to see the sun rise every morning while having coffee on the Lanai which was worth it all. The local restaurants were Delicious and loved that the stores were close by. Unfortunately we were not able to swim in the ocean due to a number of tropical storms out at sea causing large waves and king tides. Swam in the pool instead which was nice. We traveled everywhere and saw a lot of things on the island. I would definitely stay here again as its a little bit of paradise in a great location.

Owner's Response: Aloha, I am so pleased that you enjoyed our slice of Paradise! Alas, if we have A/C you can not sleep with all of the windows open and experience our sea breeze and the sound of the crashing waves. For us, it is an easy choice thus we provide ceiling fans and extra fans for those rare hot nights. Mahalo--Patti

I was looking for a beach front property to stay in on Kauai and I found a Gem!!! Waking up to a beautiful sunrise was surreal. Access to the beach was fantastic. Our unit was wonderful. Patti had everything you would need and that was great. We would definitely stay again.

Really well equipped condo in a location convenientl to explore the whole island.

  • 5 of 5

The owner sent detailed instructions and provided many thoughtful details. I would definitely stay there again. Several good restaurants are walking distance, as is a grocery store and a terrific ice cream shop. Traffic is kinda nuts, but that's everywhere on the island. When we were there Christmas 2016, there was a stiff breeze blowing off the ocean pretty much the whole time. It was fun to watch the kite boarders from inside the condo but too windy to enjoy sitting outside. That may not be typical weather but we still had no problem finding plenty of things to do - and the condo was quite cozy when we wanted it to be, and yet breezy when we wanted that. The condo property is well-cared for. Definitely recommended as a nice place to stay and a very convenient location for exploring the whole island as it is roughly halfway between major sightseeing areas in the north and south.

A week in paradise!

  • 4 of 5

The condo is in a great location, centrally located between the north and south sides of the island. We loved the close proximity to the beach- literally steps away from the lanai! It was so nice having the grocery store across the street. The condo was very well equipped with everything we needed for the beach or cooking. The only reason we did not give 5 stars was due to the amount of construction happening on the property.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your very positive review. Yes, we are presently undergoing some construction that should have been completed before we closed on the units. Replacing the sewer and an unsafe stairwell simply had to be done immediately. Hopefully soon it will be a complete boutique resort. Mahalo, Patti
